Vladimir Alexandrovich Simonov was born on June 7, 1957 in Oktyabrsk, Kuibyshev region (now Samara). Vladimir was fond of theater since childhood and knew exactly what to devote his life to. Vladimir Alexandrovich Simonov was born on June 7, 1957 in Oktyabrsk, Kuibyshev region (now Samara). Vladimir was fond of theater since childhood and knew exactly what to devote his life to. After graduation, he tried to enter the Shchukin Theatre School, but failed the Russian language exam and returned home. In Kuibyshev, Simonov spent two years at the Institute of Culture at the Faculty of Directing and Folk Theatre. Having repeated an attempt to become a student of Pike, in 1976 Simonov still gets there. His fellow students were now famous Russian actors: Sergei Makovetsky and Alexander Ryshchenkov. After graduation, they all began to work together in the Vakhtangov Theater.
In 1983, at the suggestion of Oleg Efremov, Simonov worked for some time in the theater troupe of the Moscow Art Theater, but returned to his native theater in 1989. In the theater named after Vakhtangov Simonov works to this day. Vladimir Simonov performed on the stage of the Domino Theater-Studio, at the Stanislavsky Theater, at the Et Cetera Theater (under the leadership of Kalyagin), as well as at the Theater of Nation and Entreprise. In 1995, Simonov was awarded the title of “Honored Artist of the Russian Federation”, and in 2001 he was awarded the title of “People’s Artist of the Russian Federation”.
In addition to the scene, Vladimir Simonov filmed a lot. He can be seen in more than 20 films. He worked with famous directors: I. Dykhovichy, A. Efros, M. Schweitzer. Simonov is a winner of many competitions. In his collection of prizes and awards of the Seagull Award in 1998 and 2000, in 2012 he received the Russian National Actor Award named after Andrei Mironov “Figaro” in the nomination “Best of the Best”.
