The famous German theater and film actor Sebastian Koch was born in Stuttgart, West Germany, on May 31, 1963. While still studying at an ordinary school, he was fond of music and seriously thought about a career as a professional performer, but after meeting with director Klaus Paumann, he dramatically changed his plans. He enters the Otto Falckenberg School of Acting in Munich. After its successful completion in 1985, he joined the troupe of the local “Munich Theatre of Youth”, and soon transferred to the State Berlin Theatre. At the same time, his work in television and film began. In 1986, the first episodes of the criminal television detective "Tatort - Die Macht des Schicksals" were released, the film was called "The Crime Scene". Work in the theater Sebastian Koch combines with filming in numerous television series, shown here as “Derick” (1974-1998), “Inspector Kress” (1977), “One Business for Two” (1981), “Wolf’s Law” (1992-2006), as well as in many others that did not go beyond the framework of German television.
Popularity on our domestic screen Sebastian Koch brought the film drama “Tunnel” (2001), which told about the citizens of the GDR who dared to dig under the Berlin wall. In the historical series Napoleon (2002), Sebastian Koch played the role of Marshal Lannes. On the set of this film, the actor had to work with such world celebrities as Gerard Depardieu, John Malkovich and Isabella Rossellini. The feature-documentary film Operation Valkyrie (2004), which tells about the assassination attempt on Hitler in 1944, was awarded the German Television Prize, and Sebastian Koch played the role of the famous officer of the German Wehrmacht von Stuffenberg, the inspirer and organizer of this failed army coup. /
