He was born as Alain David Jorgensen in Cuba on October 9, 1958, where his Cuban mother and Norwegian father lived at the time. An international marriage broke up, her mother married another, a racing car driver and a Formula 1 mechanic, and moved to the United States with her stepfather. There, as a teenager, he became interested in rock music, while studying at the University of Northern Colorado, he worked as a DJ on the radio, and then decided to professionally engage in music. After playing with the group “Special Affect”, in 1981 he founded “Ministry”, which is associated with the heyday of his career.
In the life of the musician was a difficult period when he used heroin and was literally on the verge of death. After a police raid in 1995 revealed he had drugs, he was given five years of probation and managed to get his life back on track. To cope with the addiction, he also helped his second wife Angela, and all the experiences were reflected in his songs.
