Max Pfeiffer is a German producer of Russian origin. He was born on May 7, 1881 in St. Petersburg. He played in theaters of his native city, as well as in Kiev and Odessa. After the revolution in 1919, he emigrated to Berlin, where he founded the Blue Sarafan cabaret. In the early 1920s, Max began making films, starting as a manager and acting in small roles. Gradually, he rose to the position of line producer at Universal Film AG, for which he created entertaining films, including several revs with actresses Liliane Harvey and Marika Rekh. He died in 1947.
