After graduating from high school, the girl studied acting at the drama school at the UFA film studio. Her film debut took place in 1928, when she starred in German.
Return to Homeland under the pseudonym Dita Parlo. The 30s of the last century, when it was in demand by both French and German directors, became truly stellar for Dita:

It was assumed that the actress will star in the film Orson Welles “Heart of Darkness”, but the shooting was canceled, and Dita herself, as a German citizen, was sent to Germany. Later, she was interned, and she was sent first to the Drancy camp, and then to the Poitiers.
