Antonio Carlos Santos de Freitas was born on November 23, 1962. Thanks to his acquaintance with the musician Oswald Alves da Silva, he learned Brazilian folklore instruments as a child - drums, tambourine, river (an instrument of the form of idiophone). Soon he became acquainted with all the secrets of percussion instruments and developed his own style, which he never parted with in the future.
He conquered the Brazilian scene under the pseudonym Carlinos Brown, who took himself in the early 1980s. He has mastered many more instruments and collaborated with other artists. In the 1990s, his fame went beyond the borders of his native country largely due to the Timbalada group he created, in which he recruited mainly ordinary young people from among the ordinary residents of his hometown. The band recorded eight albums and toured around the world. And after the success of "Timbaleiros" Brown began his own solo career.
In addition to the stage, great success awaited the musician in the cinema.
