Gabor Csupo is one of the most talented directors in the world, whose name is absolutely not on hearing. And this is not just a coincidence, the fact that for Gabor the main thing in life has always been freedom and self-realization, without these two things he does not need either fame or recognition. In the world of cinema, Chupo is certainly considered an eccentric and an eccentric, but one cannot but take into account his peculiarities. Everything he ever did, whether it was film or music, eventually got the prefix "Independent." Gabor himself considers himself a rather soft person, and says that if he was a little tougher, no one would talk to him.
Gabor Chupo was born on September 29, 1952 in the Hungarian capital Budapest. He grew up in a creative family, from childhood he studied music and went to a theater circle. The boy graduated with honors from a special art school after which, in 1971, he got a job as an animator at the Panonia studio.
It took Gabor four years to realize what he could not do in a state that constantly puts limits, and after gathering a few friends, he emigrated. For some time, Chupo traveled around Europe, feeding on occasional musical earnings. In 1978, he settled in Sweden, which he admired for its simplicity and freedom. In this country, he met the famous designer Arlena Claskey, with whom a year later they moved to Hollywood.
America met the Hungarian genius with many opportunities and offers. At first, he worked at the film studio "Hana Barbera Productions", and in 1981 he and his wife opened their own studio "Clutch Chupo", which operates to this day.
Gabor Chupo is best known for such works as the first three seasons of The Simpsons (1989-1991), Karapuza (1991-1994), The Wild Thornberry Family (2002), The Bridge to Terabithia (2007), and The Mystery of Munakra (2008).
