Born in 1956 in Winnipeg, Canada. He studied economics at the University of Winnipeg. In 1985, he directed his first short film, The Late Father. Laureate of international film festivals. His television production of the ballet Dracula - Pages of a Virgin's Diary won the 2002 International Emmy Award. The writer, an independent film journalist, teaches film at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg and the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto.
