Linda Muir is a Canadian costume designer, two-time winner and nominee of the Gini Award. She works not only in film, but also in television and theater, and her career spans more than three decades. In the early 1980s, she received a Council of Canada grant and began working as a guest costume designer at the Half Moon Theatre in London. She also conducted costume research at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and continued her studies in Florence, Rome and Venice.
Upon returning to Toronto, she began working on television for the children's program Sharon, Lois & Bram's Elephant Show. She also worked in film, where she worked as a costume designer in films.
"Exotics" In 1994 and Lilia in 1996 was awarded the Gini Award. She has also been nominated twice for the same award, as well as for the Gemini award, including for the television film Thorse.
In addition to working in film, Linda also creates costumes for numerous theater productions, winning the Toronto Dora Awards in 1981 and 1992.
