Charles Swanson is well known to art lovers in America and abroad. He is a talented artist, animator, director and screenwriter, producer. Charles was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the city. Charles Swanson is well known to art lovers in America and abroad. He is a talented artist, animator, director and screenwriter, producer.
Charles was born in Los Angeles and grew up in the city. He visited the Art Center and the Art Institute, graduated with honors. His career began as a designer in the design office of Charles Ames.
Then he got a job at Filmfair Corporation, where he was engaged in animation. Later, Charles Swanson worked on a large number of advertising and theater projects, collaborated with various television companies, including as an actor. His first short film, The Magic Pear Tree (1968), won numerous awards and was nominated for an Oscar.
He worked as a screenwriter, director, animator and director of animation. In particular, he created such paintings as “The Naked Monkey” (1973), “Mean Duck” (1974), “The Distribution of Elephants” (1077), “The Mouse and Her Child” (1977), “The Bugs” (2000). He was executive producer of the popular television series Michael, Lou and Og (1999-2001), creative producer of the TV series Oh Those Kids (1999-2004) and Real Monsters (1994-1998).
Today, Swanson is much engaged in art education of young people, at the same time he is fond of painting.
