Russian actor Igor Botvin was born in Sarajevo village of Vologda region on December 9, 1973. Then he moved to St. Petersburg, where he first played sports professionally, and only then he became interested in the acting profession. Entering the St. Petersburg Theatre Academy, Igor was trained at the course of the famous teacher Veniamin Filshtinsky.
During his studies, Igor had a harder time than many other students: he had to unlearn the Vologda talk and switch to literary speech, study rhythmics and plastics for a long time, learn choreography. Currently, the actor works in the Theater on Litein. Igor is known for his roles in the plays “Uncle Vanya”, “Venetian”, “Othello”, “Servant of two masters”, “Antigone”.
