Witold Polonsky was married twice. For the first time on the actress of the Maly Theatre Vera Nikolaevna Pashenna (1887-1962), who later became the People's Artist of the USSR, laureate of the State and Lenin prizes. They had a daughter, Irina.
The second marriage was married to the actress of the Maly Theatre Olga Gladkova. From this marriage, he had a daughter Veronica - the future actress of the Moscow Art Art Theatre Veronika Polonskaya.
In the summer of 1918, film director Pyotr Ivanovich Chardynin and Moscow film entrepreneur Dmitry Ivanovich Kharitonov appealed to the People’s Commissar of Education Lunacharsky to help a group of film workers go to Odessa for filming. Having received permission, the group went to Odessa. It consisted of Vera Vasilievna Cold, Ivan Mozjukhin, Vitold Polonsky. In November 1918, Odessa was occupied by the Entente troops.
And a few months later, on January 5, 1919, one of the best actors of Russian cinema, Vitold Polonsky, tragically died, he died of poisoning with substandard products.
