The first work of Vladimir Petchenko in the cinema was the role of Alexei in the film about fighter pilots "Days of flight". Their first roles in this film also played Nikolai Olyalin, Yuri Kuzmenkov, Vera Bykova (Alentova).
The director of the film Leonid Rizin recalls: The young artist from the Ryazan regional theater attracted our attention not only by the fact that in itself - both internally and externally - exactly corresponded to the intended image. In his life, in the life of his family, there was an incident very similar to the way our film begins. Vladimir’s older brother was a fighter pilot. “Let my role be in memory of my brother,” were the first words of Vladimir Petchenko after his confirmation as Alexei. “It’s easier to fly than to star in a movie,” sighed the pilots who watched the scenes when Vladimir worked. ."
He also starred in such films as "Always on the March" (1969), "Mope in Fire" (1970), the television series "Investigators" (1979), television performances: "Fracture", "C guilty", "I am an agent 13-17", "Easy business trip", etc.
“I had the good fortune to work with Volodya in the TV movie ‘Always on the March’ and in the Yermolova Theatre in 1969,” recalls actor Alexander Kalyagin. - Talents always go at the wrong time. Artists are free and independent, endowed with a special gift of play. I still don’t know where this gift came from, from God or from the devil. . ."
June 10, 1980 Vladimir Petchenko tragically died on tour of the theater in Blagoveshchensk.
