Manuela Velles is a Spanish actress. Her creative biography still takes only a few lines, but she will undoubtedly take her place among the stars of the cinematic sky. In one interview, Manuela said that as a child, looking in the mirror, she thought about how boring it is to have the same face all my life. It would be nice to be able to change it. Cinema gave her that opportunity.
In the movie, Manuela “breaks in” rather quickly and began not with commercials or episodic roles in television series, like most young actresses, but with a very serious role in a psychological thriller. Manuela had just started studying at the acting school in Madrid when the casting for Julio Medem’s film was announced.
"Worry Anna" . Out of more than 500 candidates for the main role, the director chose Manuela, and as it turned out, he was not mistaken. The girl coped with the role with brilliance, although the character she got very difficult. Her heroine, a young artist Anna, discovers a rather unusual gift in her subconscious mind, the memory of past lives is stored (and “pop up” during a hypnosis session). And they're all tragic. As Manuela later told, working on the role was quite difficult, but also very exciting. To better understand her character, Manuela herself visited a psychologist practicing hypnosis sessions. And it was a new and interesting experience for the young actress. The difficulty, among other things, was that Manuela does not know English perfectly - she continues to study it.
Manuela graduated from the acting school and starred in several more films. In the film “The Capture”, released on cinema screens in 2010, she plays a young girl who, along with her mother, became a hostage to the bandits. /
