The band played at parties and weddings. In 1959, bassist Stuart Sutcliffe joined The Quarrymen. After a while, the band changed its name to The Beatles.
Since 1960, the band has toured Scotland and then played in Hamburg, where drummer Pete Best joins the lineup.
In 1961, as an accompaniment to singer Tony Sheridan, the musicians made their first recordings under the direction of Burt Kempfert.
In Germany, they released the single "My Bonnie / The Saints". Sutcliffe leaves the band and the bass guitar moves to McCartney. The group has a manager Brian Epstein, who introduces the musicians to producer George Martin. As a result, The Beatles signed a recording contract at Abbey Road Studios.
In 1962, due to disagreements with the band’s management, Pete Best left the band. He is replaced by drummer Ringo Star. The Beatles recorded the single "Love Me Do", as well as the single "Please Please Me" and the album of the same name.
After a concert in 1963, which was broadcast nationwide, the band became mega-popular. “The Beatles” with each new song, with each new concert, with each new film wins the love of more and more fans. The albums Rubber Soul, Beatles For Sale, Help!, Revolver finally cement the glory of the legendary band of the century. Following the tragic death of Brian Epstein in 1967, the band released their final album, The Beatles. In 1970, the group disbanded. /
