White Barry (Barry White), American singer of rhythm and blues, was born September 12, 1944 in Texas, died July 4, 2003.
Barry White's biography begins in the dangerous Los Angeles crime district where he was born and raised. But, despite this, interest in music began to show in childhood: during school he learned to play the piano and with pleasure sang in the choir at the church.
The first band formed by Barry White at the age of 15 was The Upfronts. Two years later, White is arrested for petty theft and sentenced to five months in prison. Being behind bars, Barry decided to radically change his life and break with crime.
Upon Barry's return from prison in 1960, the band's first song, Little Girl, was released. The Upfronts did not achieve commercial success, but the musicians made a living.
Despite the fact that Barry was distinguished by a beautiful baritone, he did not see himself as a performer, more like the musician was working as a producer and composer. And already in the mid-60s, White produced and wrote songs for other musicians, arranging compositions by Viola Wils and Felice Taylor.
In 1969, White met Diana Parson, sisters Linda and Glodin James, whom he invited to his band “Love Unlimited Orchestra”, where the creative work of the performers will begin with Barry as a producer. Their first collaboration, "Walkin' In The Rain With The One You Love", sold a million copies. After the release of the first (debut) album, a tour (large) of the band follows, where Barry works as an accompanying manager. During this time, the musician came up with the idea to record the following songs with a male performance - "I've Got So Much To Give" and the single "I'm Gonna Love You Just A Little More, Baby". White himself did not want to perform them, but his friend and spiritual mentor, Larry Nunez, manages to persuade Barry to perform them from the stage.
The following year, Barry and Love Unlimited began collaborating with 20th Century Records, which elevated White’s songs to number one on the roar charts, and the single “I’m Gonna Love You...” went gold.
In 1974, White recorded the song "Love's Theme", which again climbed to the top of the charts on all radio stations. Until the early 80s, Barry White's musical compositions are popular, work on new singles and albums does not stop.
The new decade brought a decline in the musical career of Barry White, because the musical style in which White works - disco style, lost its fans. But in 1987, White returned to the music scene with the album “The Right Night and Barry White”, followed by the album “Put Me In Your Mix” (1991), and the platinum “The Icon Is Love” (1994).
In 1999, Barry White released his autobiographical book, Love Unlimited, which became Barry White’s last work: in 2003, the world lost musician, performer, producer Barry White.
