At the age of eight, Albert Lawrence Dimeola takes guitar lessons from jazz guitarist Bob Eslenian. The musical preferences of young Dimeola are very diverse – from classical Italian music to jazz compositions and burning flamenco.
In 1971, Dimeola enrolled at the Berkeley College of Music, but soon dropped out to perform with Barry Miles, and then, in 1974, went on stage with the band.
