Chuck Austin (the author) has spent his adult life in creative work, he has worked on commercials, video games and animation for shows such as King of the Hill and Tripping the Rift, and, of course, worked on American comics about superheroes. But his passion has always been manga. A big fan of such talents as Mitsuru Adachi, Otomo Katsuhiro and Naoki Urasawa, he always dreamed of working in a format that made them famous, and Boys of Summer is his first book in the field. Chuck lives in Los Angeles with his wife, three children, two cats, two birds and a dog. They all live in the house. Chuck himself lives outside in a small furnished shed.
