It's great! Two hours flew by like twenty minutes. Family, kind, sentimental.
At first I thought that the main component would be sports and was sure that I would not watch until the middle of the game. I have no doubt that many problems in the plot remained behind the scenes, so for someone the film may seem so fabulous, easy, mi-mi ... personally for me, many hidden problems are obvious ... and the way the main character is shown at the beginning of the picture - a snail in its shell - is a big, big problem ... and, probably, in this case, the authors decided to focus on the desire to see the problem of a teenager and not remain indifferent, in their own well-being ... Open your heart, show care, love, trust and the result will be at least one happy person more. . .
Great acting! Very good choice of actor for the main role!
The film is really worthy of attention, because this is an adaptation of the book by Michael Lewis, based on real events, which will definitely not leave you indifferent. In this film, they simply and soulfully talk about important things: kindness, compassion, willpower, capable of moving mountains.
Sandra Bullock is the main character who managed to embody a soulful, matured woman. She is the central figure of the narrative, bright and completely charming – feminine, determined and with a huge heart, which is enough not only for her own large family, but also for an almost unfamiliar boy who was taken from a mother suffering from drug addiction.
Quinton Aaron so convincingly conveyed the image of touching and good-natured Michael that he really became sorry.
Director John Lee Hancock made a very touching and soulful film with a deep moral. The picture teaches us to be kind and show compassion to those who need help. It was very interesting and interesting.
Very sensual and truly good film. Unselfish love, faith and care are what make you hope for the best. The plot is based on a story that delights, delights and pinches the heart.
The film helps to restore faith in the best.

But amid all this, we began to forget that in life there is a place for goodness, mutual help, respect and a kind of miracle. This is what each of us tries to remind the film “The Invisible Side”. And it does so in such a way that tears involuntarily begin to flow in places.
It happens involuntarily because you see the will on the screen. The will to be better and the will to make the world a better place. This is fascinating, and some phrases (about the bed, for example) are discouraging and disabling. Through the monitor you can feel all the pain of the main character, who wants to empathize.
Big Mike, I'm sorry, Michael's not emotional, but that doesn't make him a wooden actor. This makes him an actor who was able to convey his character completely, with a difficult past, a strange present and a much more murkier future. I looked at the big man and it was as if his experiences were living.
In class pictures, it is often the musical accompaniment that half the effect. But here you do not focus on this and do not even notice, enjoying the plot twists and turns and how the creators and life itself decided to sum up the thorny path of Michael.
It's a good movie. Good people. With principles. Morality. With the desire to help and repay the good for this help. I recommend watching both alone and in the family circle.
I. The Invisible Side is a sports drama about the life of rising American football star Michael Oher. The script is based on Michael Lewis’ book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game.
While watching this film, you experience the full range of feelings from sympathy and sadness to joy. This film tells not only about the life of the future athlete, it also raises important questions about kindness, family values, faith in yourself and others, sincerity and compassion in the lives of others.
The film looks in one breath, the plot drags and immerses in what is happening on the screen, despite the fact that there are no unexpected plot twists in the film. In the foreground of this picture is Michael’s interaction with family members and people around him, thanks to this, every minute you are more and more imbued with the thoughts, inner experiences and emotions of the protagonist. The film shows that a person is determined not by his place of birth and the environment, but by inner convictions and kindness.
II. Acting game
It is worth noting the actors who play in the film.
Sandra Bullock perfectly played a kind, responsive, emotional, tender, but at the same time firm in her convictions heroine. She deservedly won a Golden Globe and an Oscar for this role.
You can't miss Quinton Aaron. He was perfectly able to convey the feelings and emotions of Big Mike (nickname of the main character). Thanks to his convincing play, it is impossible to remain indifferent to his story and experience every emotion with him.
III. Summary
This family-friendly film is definitely worth the attention.
It took me a long time to convince myself to watch this movie. When you combine the words 'drama, sport, biography', you expect something very tense, with a lot of turning points, where at every moment you want to shout 'Why did you do that?' A picture was presented where the main character, despite all her relatives, and to their detriment, will make a football star out of the boy, putting her whole life on the altar with her last strength.
But the movie was very surprising. Surprised by the relationship in the family, surprised the attitude to this gloomy black guy.
Husband. Lee Anne made her choice without consulting her husband. At this place you expect that the husband will be very indignant, offended and go to the mistress, which he has long prepared. But no. The husband accepts her choice and supports her because he loves her, respects her choice and enjoys supporting his wife. He really loves her - that's how it should be in a healthy marriage. I'm in shock.
Kids. The appearance of such a character in the house and at school should have had a bad effect on children. They started teasing, joking. But children also surprise, they do not go in tears to their mother to say that she spoiled their life and reputation, and also support her choice.
We can say that in this film there are practically no betrayals, disappointments, resentments and any hysterical thrash that now holds the audience’s attention in every film. Michael was alone, but he was abandoned. But with the appearance of him in the Tui family, all the drama fades into the background and it is safe to say that from now on everything will always be fine in his life. Because there is no place for doubts of mental anguish. It's simple, kind and heartfelt. And this is done not only out of faith, not out of last resort in the name of suffering, but simply because people do it because they can. They can and do.
The Invisible Side was such a healing film for me. They say it's like a balm for the soul. If you're looking for a movie about healthy relationships, about a healthy psychological life, this is it. Here they love, respect and support each other. You won't find that anywhere else right now.
The potential of the film was covered with earth and on the tombstone was written “PG-13”.
An exemplary family, without disagreements and quarrels, built on love and compromise, suddenly takes a homeless Michael (apparently from the big heart of Sandra Bullock, but more like filling the void, without the presence of this very emptiness). But you can believe it, all the possibilities are there: money by the river, housing the size of Dracula's castle - it can help, and it helps. But unfortunately, this is the only thing you can believe, because the stigma of a family movie, seals all the most important and hides: motives, suffering, blood, dirt and everything that caused Michael to be snatched from the hands of a real mother.
A radiant ghetto and plush gangsters, capable only of winking and closing their mouths after the cries of a socialite. Mother's a drug addict, but we'll show her with straight white teeth, but in a dirty apartment, no syringes and strips of cocaine - we're watching the kids! And as a result, the mother is drugged with a dozen abandoned children, turns into a heartbroken neighbor Lucia. I'm not talking about the crazy rhythm. Stages: meeting, help, affection, gifts, guardianship, distrust and happiness - occur lightning fast and therefore incoherent, dynamics spit on all the arguments of actions, emotions, words. Sad.
And sad, because the story is phenomenal, but it's framed. A lot of life, real, and the screen is cloudlessly cute. I know it should be, it's a simple, family movie, but imagine for a second this whole picture, without this shadow that prevents you from seeing the branches of grapes on marble. That would be a movie. And so, this is just a bag of apple juice in the hands of a small child who came with his parents to the "Invisible Side".
I watched this movie only because it is in the top 250 and quite high.
Now let me give you my opinion.
It's very good and easy to have a child like this when you have all the resources in the world and when you don't think about money at all. I think this story would have looked different if it had been a middle-class family. It is very disgusting to watch a pampered father who really doesn’t care about this guy and who is basically just a heeled heel of his wife.
It was particularly disgusting to watch these university competitions for this guy. How mercantile this is. . .
And also this nonsense about the fact that a family like that deliberately sent him to some university. It doesn't matter if you're indoctrinated. What are the benefits of this?
Everything is very annoying in this movie. People live in a world without problems.
I do not recommend watching this movie for those who want to see real feelings. There's only one pretense.
Michael’s invisible side and inner world show us that no matter where or how you are born, if you have a bright soul and a kind heart, then the rest does not matter.
Actors' play:
Quinton Aaron very convincingly conveyed the image of touching and good-natured Michael. At times he was so persuasive that he felt really sorry. I really liked Sandra Bullock’s performance. Her character, Lee Anne, is just an amazing woman and she literally picks up the keys to everyone, communicates with everyone in their language. Khamov easily puts in place, with her husband everything is easy and simple, and builds his friends, who visited the funeral of her father, even forgot that he died. Perfectly coped with his role, the young talent of Jay Head, he brought a humorous mood to the film and his entire role is literally imbued with continuous positive.
This film is about faith in yourself, belief in people, etc. If you have time, watch this movie and make sure you don’t waste it.
A touching, fascinating and very kind story of growing up a star of American football
Plot. The film is based on real events.
Teenager Michael Auer has tremendous stature and strength, but at the same time, disarming kindness and defenselessness.
A well-to-do family out of compassion takes him under their care, and it drastically changes their lives.
Notes on the Fields.
“Nobility is the real cause of action. It shows who you are and maybe who you want to be.
There are three things I appreciate about this film:
1. The brilliant play of Sandra Bullock, who received an Oscar for this role.
Unnoticeably, from a pretty actress of good comedies, she turned into one of the iconic artists of the United States.
This film and "Gravity" are just wonderful works.
In the course of the film, her heroine teaches a real master class, how to get out of difficult life situations.
2. The film is much better than it seems at first glance.
Before watching, I was extremely skeptical. It seemed like another drama for tears. I had the same experience before watching 1+1.
But from the first minute, the movie is exciting. It's sincere. Funny. Easy.
You really believe in this family and are happy for yours.
3. Very rarely in modern cinema there are truly noble heroes.
They now seem to us something unnatural, improbable, simple, and therefore so rare in our time.
But such a movie is a source of inspiration, an example of cool morality, which you want to conform.
People are often kind in words. But getting into a real situation where they need their help, they pass by.
This film shows what happens and how begins to feel a person who once did not pass by. Who took on another person's problems and asked for nothing in return. Selfless. And how cool it changed both of them.
That's what the movie is all about. Clinging deeply and forever.
Overall impression: First of all, I want to say that there are more good people in our lives than bad ones. Remember that.
Michael Oher was the 12th child born to Denis Oher. His mother used alcohol and drugs, and his father, Michael Jerome Williams, was often in prison. As a child, Michael received little attention. He stayed in his second year in first and second grades, and attended 11 different schools for 9 years. He alternated life in foster homes and on the street. Until 2004, he found his family, Leainne and Sean Tui, who offered Oer to live with them and eventually accepted him. To boost his academic performance, they hired him a tutor who worked with him 20 hours a week!
The story is based on real events, and the script is based on Michael Lewis’ book The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game. The story touches on many important topics, including family values. How it is necessary to have the support of loved ones, and that sometimes related threads are intertwined with strangers, and kindness is the highest reward.
Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for Best Actress. And she's beautiful here! Don't look away!
The film tells about the formation of an American professional football player - Michael Oher. How a sports drama is a good story for success. In fact, the heart is happy for the guy how lucky he was with people!
8 out of 10
Teenager Michael Ohr, at first glance, is awkward and clumsy, and almost does not communicate with people. He is drawn to the attention of an energetic family, and his life is slowly but steadily changing for the better.
This film, in my opinion, is about our differences, which we are often ashamed of, and it is time to learn to respect them.
For many of us, life is a race. We strive forward and up, develop ' pump ' our skills and so on. But in this endless wheel of self-development, we forget who we are. We fear our weaknesses and try to hide them.
In the film, what was concerned at first glance, weakness, the desire to protect everything and everyone around, turns out to be almost the main advantage that gave the main character a ticket to life & #39;.
I can forgive the template steps of the script and the tearful, but not always intellectually grounded, scenes of the film, because I try to highlight the essence that I think I can both try on and apply to my own life.
An amazing story that seems to be fiction. This is how you describe the movie.
The picture raises both global and personal problems.
The main characters are a guy from the ghetto Michael and the family.
The film shows loneliness, reveals this problem, because while he lived in the ghetto, he closed off from everyone, eventually became antisocial.
Also, the film deals with the topic of racism (which in 2020 came out inadequately foreground), because the guy has to go through this problem.
The authors did not forget to touch on the topic ' standard of living' as if contrasting the ghetto and 'rich district'. By the way, we can say that the authors tried to say that not the main thing where you were born, you can always become the right person.
However, the film has 1 minor minus: rapid development, I can not say, because not aware of the full real story, but the film is too fast ' mastery ' in the family, but even this does not interfere.
The younger brother deserves special praise, I wish each such person near me during the climb to the top & #39; It’s nice to watch this guy, the actor takes all the attention to himself in every moment.
In the end, I want to say that 'The Invisible Side' is a strong motivational film, because as long as you watch the guy pass all the tests, yours seems nothing.
“But nobility is the real cause of action. It shows who you are and maybe who you want to be.
“The Invisible Side” is a sports drama based on real events, telling how Michael Oher, a young African-American, lost his home, received shelter in a wealthy family, a member of which he eventually becomes. Since childhood, Michael has disarming and, at the same time, defenseless kindness, tremendous growth and titanic power. Hotly supported by his new family, he begins playing for the high school football team. After some time, success in sports, and then in studies allow him to get an athlete scholarship and enter the University of Mississippi.
The film “The Invisible Side” claimed 2 Oscar statuettes, but received only one. She deservedly won Sandra Bullock for Best Actress.
Viewers may think that “The Invisible Side” is a happy tale about the American dream, the social propaganda of good deeds and nobility. However, this picture is based on real events. It does not have as such special effects, as in blockbusters, but it falls into the soul. It's deep and irrevocable. Largely thanks to the character revealed on screen by Sandra Bullock. On the one hand, this character is worthy of imitation as a successful woman and mother, and on the other hand, it turns out to be a difficult, deep and interesting nature.
On the eve of the race for the Oscars, I want to evaluate potential nominees and winners of both the present and the past. I decided to turn to the past to fill in the gaps and came across the film “The Invisible Side”, which was directed by John Lee Hancock, with his works I had not yet encountered, and therefore I could not expect something in advance, I had to get acquainted with the picture to understand something for myself. The film is listed in the list of best films for 2009 and won an Oscar, it received Sandra Bullock for Best Actress. Recommendations are more than weighty, and therefore, without delaying in a long box, I looked and I want to share with you my opinion about the film and impressions about it.
The plot is based on real events and tells the difficult story of the formation of football player Michael Oher. The essence of the phenomenon of the invisible side is told at the very beginning of the film. For those unfamiliar with this sport, there will be many incomprehensible terms like linebacker, early backer and Tyleback. The point is, whoever knocks the ball out of the opponent and runs through a mess protected by the Tailback, and they only see with extreme vision, and the attack on the defender can occur from the side that his eyes do not catch, and this is where the additional players help, one of them was Michael Oher, he was an important part of the team. But his childhood was difficult, he was one of twelve children and he left his birth mother and wandered through life until Rock's will turned out so that he ended up in a Christian school and was sheltered by a prosperous family. It became the medium for the formation of the character of the main character and became an important milestone on his path to big sport. The script in the film is excellent, and it is developing in the right direction, does not cause much criticism. I just want to say that the topic of racism in cinema has recently intensified, but this is one of those rare films where this emphasis is not at all principled. Five stars.
By the criterion of “Visibility” you can determine the genre of the picture. In this film, based on the material of sports drama, a strong family story is built about how important it is to protect your loved ones and appreciate their contribution to the upbringing of a strong and purposeful person. The pace of the storytelling from the start is taken well and maintained throughout the film in balance. In the scenes where Michael, while at school, tries to talk to little girls, and they leave him, it is shown how much the main character grows and changes throughout the story. The main character is not open to anyone, and if it opens up, then he trusts them, so they have become his family. And what is valuable in the film is not that a brave white woman adopted a colored child, but that they became one whole, Michael filled Lee Ann’s life with new colors, and the Tui family managed to accept him as he is. I remember how they chose which institution they would play for and how they wanted to get results no matter what. This is a film-motivation, it is able to give impetus to activities, not to stand still, but to develop to improve the quality of life and grow not only in the eyes of others, but also in their own. As such, there is no entertainment, but at the same time the movie is not boring, at some moments you worry about the main characters, they want to sympathize in a difficult moment, and rejoice when they achieve something. By this criterion, the film earns four stars.
The acting was good. Sandra Bullock even won the Academy Award for Best Actress and the Golden Globe, the film was nominated for the title of best, but to win this award failed. And Bullock really deserved, in this image she looks organic, plays a strong woman who can push for development, be courageous and feminine at the same time, genuine emotions personally pleased me greatly. Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher is also an organic, introverted introvert who finds it difficult to exist in society, but he has found his calling and passed difficult tests on the way to his goal. Katie Bates as Miss Sue is also great, she opens up the world of natural sciences and discovers extraordinary abilities in it. It is a bit more difficult with the humanities, but the knowledge is also good. I'll give you five stars for that.
Verdictating. A great film that should not pass by fans of good sports dramas and family movies. The film successfully balances at the junction of these two genres, and it is able to be remembered for a life-affirming message, strong acting work, pleasant musical accompaniment. One thing is for sure – this is a good film that will decorate the evening of a weekday or a weekend. You won't regret your time. I give the film nine stars out of ten. I recommend that you familiarize yourself. Good to you all and enjoy watching!
Technically and dramatically competent biopics, since the early 00s have been one of the main tools of Western filmmakers. Americans generally professionally use motivating techniques, attracting a completely diverse audience (the benefit of various social / sports / age, etc. niches great diversity). But the work of the young, in active terms, director Lee Hancock differs from the rest of the set in that, in addition to some career-successful moments, it includes piercing concepts of a real family and simply magnificent humanism.
The story itself is based on the events of the life of a black boy Michael Oher. As in most cases, the early prospects for the life of the ghetto did not bode well for the child: dysfunctional areas, gangsters, dealers and the mother herself, a drug addict, made a big man completely unsociable and, in appearance, mentally retarded. But the hardened viewer will experience the rod - under the multi-foot Mike a good heart and just a phenomenal ability to protect. And we are not so much about the physical configuration as about the moral - the young man instinctively protects those who know what good is and does not fall into discouragement and does not hold malice, as he knows how to "close" his eyes.
Of course, such moves as a pretty and small-speaking thug with a sincere look and a dream of a better life, suggest thoughts about the not quite honest claims of the director and the team. But in a full-fledged concept of a very talented cast (the main gem of which is Sandra Bullock), and an exciting dynamic, the film takes on more than just the appearance of a typical success drama. Hancock does not squeeze tears, all the characters inspire trust without uttered sentiments, and the plot of real life makes you believe in the best humanity that is possible. And even if the classic genre finale does not touch the strings of the soul at all, it remains to be glad that the cinema exists for such moments, for the sake of such purposes for which it was created.

Rewriting great reviews is like making lists of the originals of the annals is painful for the author and useless for posterity. I usually retell the plots of films in a new way, but the hardest thing is to summarize my own thoughts. Today we will remember how I spoke about the film 'The Invisible Side'. It is worth remembering that the film was viewed in the run-up to the Oscar race and expectations were highest. They were justified.
The script is based on the biography of American football player Michael Oher. For the uninitiated, the rules of the game may seem confusing, but to understand the essence of the film, it is enough to have the most superficial idea of the invisible side, and the film will give you enough to understand what is happening. Here I would like to insert a quote: “The bottom line is that the one who knocks the ball out of the opponent and runs through a mess protected by Tailback, and they see only with extreme vision, and an attack on the defender can occur from the side that his eyes do not catch, here and help the additional players, one of these was Michael Oher, he was an important part of the team.” Michael played an important role in the team, but this story is not about football at all, but about a man who had a difficult childhood, about how his family adopted him. As I wrote in the first edition, “This is a film motivation that can give an impetus to activities not to stand still, but to develop to improve the quality of life and grow not only in the eyes of others, but also their own.” Michael changed Lee Ann’s life, and she gave him the opportunity not only to play in the major leagues, but also to show that outside of football he is also a person. Family is our most reliable rear, and if it is strong and after hours of work we have somewhere to go back and we have someone to wait for, then nothing is impossible! I'll give you five stars.
Spectacularity in films of the genre "Biopic" or biographical drama is based on a qualitatively worked out dramaturgy and the ability of the viewer to be involved in the narrative. Such attractors are the family message and the contribution of loved ones to the formation of a strong and purposeful personality. The camera operator tries to show how people of different natures and thoughts coexist in the same family and how accepting a person as he is can give him the ground under his feet and the opportunity to push off in his future path from something specific. If the viewer is worried about the characters and the story catches, then the visual allows the eyes to observe the development of events. There is nothing supernatural, but everything looks good.
Actor's play is great. Sandra Bullock plays the role of Lee Ann and she manages to embody the image of a strong woman who is able to motivate other people through her successes. Separately, I want to note that it shows real emotions and it pleases me as a connoisseur of real feelings in a good way. Quinton Aaron embodied the image of Michael Oher on the screen and he managed it very well, at the level of empathy, the character is understandable and easily perceived. Katie Bates, although her role is episodic, she had no less influence on the intellectual growth of the hero. I'm going to put a five in this discipline.
Verdictating. A great combination of biopic, sports drama and family cinema, although not so obvious, but these connections are observed. Of the advantages, it is worth noting a well-worked story, a message that is understandable to everyone, an excellent acting game and a melodic soundtrack. I’ll give the film a well-deserved nine and recommend it. Good to you all!
The world today is cruel. Everyone thinks about himself, gets his way, walking on the heads of others. He only sees what he needs. But no matter how there are people who are not indifferent to the environment.
John Lee Hancock’s sports drama The Invisible Side (2009) is the leader of the American box office, a truly kind, soulful film.
What is hidden in the title?
The boy Michael Oher, who survived more than one childhood shock, remains a homeless person. But he remembers the instruction of his mother: “Close your eyes to all the bad things around” – he remembers and follows him. “Michael’s gift is the ability to forget. He's not angry with anyone.
A wealthy American family passionate about sports, particularly American football, notices Michael’s loneliness and hidden side and takes him under his wing. At the head of the family, their mother is Lee Ann Tui, an energetic woman who manages everything! She “opens a guy’s heart, changes his life,” and in the end, Michael changed Lee Ann’s life. Tui’s family saw in him the gift of a footballer and helps him fulfill his dream. Is this help selfless? “Why are you doing this? Why are you helping me? For me or yourself? asks the main character.
The picture is completely based on real events. No names are made up. Michael Oher is a real American football star.
Before the start of filming, the actors talked with the prototypes. And tried to absorb all the traits of character to the smallest detail, down to the wardrobe. And that’s really a lot of success.
Quinton Aaron as Michael is just amazing. He displayed all the features of a closed but kind teenager. You feel sympathy for him right away. And throughout the story, literally walking with him, worried about him.
Sandra Balok, who won the Oscar for Best Actress, really deserved it. Her play never allowed to doubt the energy, mercy of this strong-willed woman.
The film seamlessly merges life and sport. Becoming a young gifted player against fate. Together with him, we delve into the meaning of the game, its rules. If you don’t know what American football is, you’ll know it after watching it.
The invisible side is the side of what: Souls? Life? Society? Sports?
The film helps us to open our eyes to the whole world, turns our consciousness. It's like, "Look around you!" The world is not simple, not at all simple! But it is you who can make it better.” “ The picture reveals the hidden side of all the above and sometimes you just need to learn not to see the cruel sides of life, so as not to become part of them.
What I like most about The Invisible Side is its title, which I want to consider not only in a purely pragmatic sporting context, but also in a philosophical sense. Each person has his own invisible side, inaccessible to outsiders, carefully guarded inner world, full of impressions, memories and images. An important idea of the picture, in my opinion, is the need to overcome the boundary between personal space and the space of society. To achieve something meaningful, you need to come out into the light. Only in this case, the accumulated wealth of the soul can be realized in full, give confidence and support.
The hero was lucky, because his way out of the frame was furnished as comfortably and safely as possible thanks to the family who adopted him. Having met understanding, he revealed his invisible side and showed himself as a gentle, devoted, attentive person. Another good idea is that the inside and the outside don't have to be the same. The contrast between them is very clear. The hero is constantly called a big black teenager, negative characters insult him for it. But neither he nor his loved ones take these attacks too personally, because a person is not determined by appearance.
The Tui family looks just perfect - and tight-knit, and correctly oriented, and well-off. The dream of all street children. Michael’s path to success in this environment is easy and smooth. There are almost no dramas or contradictions. If there is a drop of misunderstanding, it is resolved quickly and painlessly. Somewhere behind the scenes there is a difficult past, the intersperses of which return in scenes with a dysfunctional black neighborhood. But these moments, although they made the hero untalkable, did not split his personality and did not deprive him of the ability to enjoy life. This joy went deep into his soul, but with proper support he returned. The story is like a Christmas fairy tale, where everything is incredibly good and beautiful. It is equipped with a set of traditional Americanized cuts, playfully showing how the hero moved step by step towards his goal (under the guidance of a snippy half-brother and in the company of spice bottles). However, this story is real.
It is difficult, however, to say how the images of the Tui family coincide with real prototypes. I was more confused by the image of the determined and adamant Leigh Ann, for which Sandra Bullock won the Oscar. In my opinion, this image does not pull on the best female role because of directness, increased self-confidence and several exaggerated habits of the heroine. This woman decides everything instantly and irrevocably, she is free from doubt, she is the unofficial captain of the family and believes that nothing and no one can harm her. Great, but "a little bit a lot," as writer Woodhouse would put it. I wanted more art in this character, even if the prototype it was exactly like that, because cinema is still art.
And in general - a good film without social abyss and horrors in the frame. Family values and faith in man. Nothing unusual. The real pictures at the end are very touching. A really lively frame of history.
If good could be measured, the good in this story would be at the mark 'maximum ' The goodness in this movie is great.
The name is interesting - the blind side, as I understand it, is the zone that the quarterback on the field does not see, and this player is protected by the left tack. At the same time, the invisible side is the bright potential that is hidden in people, and which can be revealed in a certain situation at a certain moment.
I do not want to analyze the situation with the accusation and suspicion that the college sports association had. Maybe that’s true, maybe not.
But I would like to see the film as a story based on real events. The truth is still not available to us.
The film shows how big small actions are when done with serious intentions and a good heart. How much good can a man do when he wants to?
The script is very beautifully written. There is a family idyll, and a whole bunch of full-fledged significant characters, each of whom is kind and compassionate. Maybe this is not the case in life, but we are shown a perfect world. It’s just a movie, but I want to believe it. Family problems are solved by meetings. Children behave too judiciously and adultly. They have no protests, they are educated and wise. It seems impossible, but who knows. There may also be such families.
Sandra was amazing. It's toughness, courage and strength that live with emotion and empathy. The latter qualities she tries not to show in public. It's just masterful! And it was noted by critics: Sandra received an Oscar for this role.
The ability to sacrifice friends and ignore public opinion in an effort to do what she believes in and considers a virtue cannot but be respected.
There are also embarrassing moments in the film. The behavior of the first coach Michael Ohr during his attempt to persuade the committee to take the guy to school, using some arguments - it did not look very beautiful. It smells of self-interest.
Also, the story with the Association of sports does not look completely unconvincing.
As a disadvantage of the film can be called the ideality of the family. I’m not sure that in reality everything can go so smoothly. Given the intimacy and seriousness of the issue of accepting a new person into the family, it is difficult to imagine that there was no friction between relatives. In terms of presentation, moments like this would add realism and drama to the film. They would smear the focus on the protagonist’s problems and shift it toward the complexities of adoption. Perhaps the writers of the script chose not to make such a blur in the interests of the main storyline and left the main line as clean as possible.
The sense of idealism does not disappear when assessing the behavior of school teachers. All of them are fair, professional, honest and principled. They are willing to give the guy a chance, ready and want to see his best, invisible side. They are willing to wait and appreciate it. Such universal justice looks naive.
I don’t think writers should be judged for these things. You need to understand what the film is focused on, and what decided to simplify and serve simply as a side dish.
History can teach an open audience a lot. It seems that after watching you will not be the same. You will be ready and open to something new and good. Knowing that miracles are possible in life, and that good sometimes overcomes evil, gives strength to move on and realize yourself and your aspirations.
As one of the characters of the film said ' Everything you do, you do for others... you clearly get a sick pleasure from it' Impregnated!
The blind side is also a family that will cover you in a difficult situation.
There are many opinions that this is one of the best films of recent times. And the effect of kindness is reinforced by the fact that this is a real story, that it happens in life - such a selfless act on the part of one family, and such a sad story of the boy before meeting her.
The kindness and perseverance of several people turned the life of a huge guy with a fragile, unmaligned hard childhood, a soul. First the father of a friend, then the coach of the school team, and then the son and mother of the Tui family, who were unconditionally supported by his father and daughter, each of them helped Michael become what he eventually became. And he, in turn, helped them appreciate what they have: each other — real family, home and everything — what they took for granted compared to the life of this guy was very significant, even if it was just a mattress.
Throughout the viewing, I wondered: “Would I do this?”, “Would anyone I know do this?” or we all settled on the questions that Sanda Bullock’s heroine asked her husband in the bedroom “will something disappear from their house in the morning” and passed by.
Or other questions: “Is it possible that the whole family was together?” or “there is such a quiet polemic as parents in the morning for washing?” Such family unity and the desire to share our opportunities with those in need involuntarily forces us to evaluate our lives, and if we do not begin to share, then at least stop complaining about trifles.
The modern world forces us to run away in the pursuit of material goods far and quickly, so we do not even notice those in need sometimes, and to stop in the evening on the road and so simply take and shelter an unfamiliar boy in general can few.
Thanks to director John Lee Hancock for an amazing film, thanks to Sandra Bullock, Tim McGraw, Jay Head and Lily Collins for how organically they played their roles - every member of this family is incredibly kind, not a snob, with all the wealth and comfort, thank Quinton Aaron for his hero. Thank you for this amazing evening and the opportunity to appreciate our life from the outside.

I came across a movie and decided to watch it. I didn’t read reviews, I didn’t watch ratings, I only knew that Sandra was in the lead roles and the film was a documentary. I didn't regret it. I felt so much emotion just watching Hachiko. On the one hand, there is the tragic story of a young and talented footballer who was born into a dysfunctional family. Since childhood, he did not know what a real family was. I didn't have anything in the lives of kids his age. He was saved by his family, who sheltered him and showed sympathy for him. Sandra Bullock performed her role magnificently, for which she received an Oscar. But Quinton Aaron was a worthy candidate and coped with the role for a hundred, I think he deserved the nomination. While watching a movie, you can’t take your eyes off, because you are constantly waiting for the continuation of the life path of a young and kind guy who just wasn’t lucky. But he finds the family he has always dreamed of and gets the life he deserves. He gets the meaning of life. The main thing in the film, oddly enough, is not the sports component, but the path of the young guy. Towards the end of the film, you are already on the same wavelength with the main characters, you share their sadness and joy. This is the most important thing in films - the emotions of the viewer and no matter what: whether it is hatred of the hero or love. Just, bravo!
Very touching and amazing story, showing human qualities from the kindest position. The plot introduces us to the main character - a homeless, illiterate teenager - who is taken up by a prosperous family. The qualities of virtue are tantamount to the drama that surrounded the boy Big Mike (his nickname has long been given, and no one calls it otherwise).
From the first frames, the picture sinks into the abyss of worries for the character. He is homeless, goes to school not for education, although he attends classes, but because he needs at least some relationship with his peers. Nothing is known about the past, here is a big guy whose life does not promise him manna from heaven. In such an atmosphere there is a good transition.
New family, new opportunities, new life. This period of the story can be called that. When a poor guy is picked up on the street, going to the gym to warm up and protect himself from the rain, you get goosebumps. The usual one-night stand gives you so much energy, so much emotion that you can't look away. Politeness, rules of decency, modesty and stiffness of the main character act as a catalyst in a close-knit family, which is why his actions do not go unnoticed by a member of the family - Laya's mother and wife. In fact, there are many such moments in the picture, which makes the viewing very pleasant, but the new wave takes the goal not only to provide emergency assistance to Michael, but also to take him seriously.
You can have a family that is not bound by blood, but it will be much closer to biological. Michael is thoroughly taken up: training, sports and a new purpose in life. The ability to achieve something on your own. The initial stage is prepared by parents. The picture changes before the eyes: just instilling fear in the eyes of a teenager, becomes the kindest and most necessary person. In addition to mom and dad, he also has a brother and sister. The relationship at school is very touching, and did not do teenage bullying. Both parents and children are criticized by friends and acquaintances. And here we are given to understand how dirty and soulless the people around us are. Among the many personalities such as a ray of light in the dark realm, a kind family appears.
The film won an Oscar for Best Actress in 2010. Sandra Bullock performed an amazing character. Her character proved that you should not judge a person by the cover. Indifference to the problems of the neighbor. Making a homeless person a smart person and an American football star is wonderful. Quinton Aaron played the role of Michael. All the drama and emotion you feel watching is due to this guy. A cute creature, Lily Collins, brightened up this film. Very beautiful actress, gentle creature. Smoke. And yes, she is the daughter of musician Phil Collins.
A stunning picture that will not leave indifferent.
If we only watched movies like this, our world would be a better place. You can convince me otherwise, but my position is unshakable. Why does a seemingly ordinary, unremarkable story occupy such a high position in all rankings of the world? After all, this is an ordinary biographical film. There were many such stories. However, this film took the place above all others. Why? Because the film is literally about good. Ask me, what is good? This is what we believe in!
Before watching, Sandra Bullock was of particular interest. After all, for this role she received an Oscar in the nomination “Best female role”. It only added weight and responsibility to the film. Before you watch, you think, “I don’t like the way she played.” In this case, it will affect the general opinion about the film. So it was very exciting. However, in less than half an hour, as probably each of us, was already “in love” with the heroine, in the game of Sandra. What's the game, Sandra? She is an amazingly beautiful actress. Charming, charismatic, persistent, strong-willed woman. Which any man will follow, not to mention girls.
It's a soul movie. If you think you can get better, you want to get better, but you’re missing something, watch this movie. You'll feel it in the deep. You'll understand. Even if you live by different principles, think differently, you will have something to think about after you look at this story. To help another person, it is not necessary to be strong and rich, it is enough to be kind. That which is created from good cannot be bad.
Six nominations for various awards - Actors Guild Award, two MTV Awards, Golden Globe, two - for Oscar (including best film). Three wins for Best Actress: Sandra Bullock in 2010 overtook Meryl Streep, Helen Mirren, Emily Blunt, Carey Mulligan and Gabouri Sidibé. It is known that Bullock could not get this role on her own initiative because of disagreements with the director’s vision of her character. The refusal followed three times, after which John Lee Hancock took desperate measures in his own persuasion, thereby ensuring the actress not only a fundamental participation in the project, but also an unprecedented success.
As you can find out from the section "KinoPoiska" - "Did you know that...", the film is based on the book by Michael Lewis "The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game" (in Russian translation, most likely, it does not exist yet), which tells the biography of football player Michael Oher. He was a homeless teenager who was sheltered by a respectable rich family who raised a future NFL star.
In the career of John Lee Hancock at the moment it is the most successful film. It was released five years after Fort Alamo, which suffered such a serious crash at the box office that the director’s decision not to make a movie for a while is logical. With “The Invisible Side” it turned out exactly the opposite: with a very tolerable budget for Hollywood production, it paid off several times both in the United States and around the world.
The above is the actual side of the coin. I didn’t bring it to show off my own curiosity or the success of the film and those involved. It's important to understand two other things. First, after any fiasco, you can win the next battle if you are honest (in this case, with the viewer) and stubborn (when Sandra Bullock fails three times, it is easy to surrender). Secondly, you can follow the lead of other people (in this case, producers) and try to do something that does not have the soul or abilities. You will be told: “This is a strong option, because it has a historical background!” This is not a private story, but a large-scale canvas of a great battle! In the end, everything will fail, because among the expensive scenery there was no room for the most important thing - for the soul. But when you make an attempt to rehabilitate yourself, choosing something that is really worth the effort and can turn out (remember, John Lee Hancock has already shot a sports biographical drama, it was called “Novichok”, and shot it very well) – everything will change for the better. It is not business that wins, it is art that wins. Art passes into eternity, being the unity of feelings, reason and memory. Business is just numbers coming and going into oblivion, dissolved by time.
I liked The Invisible Side not only because of Sandra Bullock’s performance, but it’s brilliant and so natural that you don’t just believe in it, you fall in love with it as a heroine and as a woman. The film also carries a deep moral message, absolutely not using pearls of venerable philosophers or excessively dramatic event background. Using a life-like view of what is happening, the director ninety percent filled the story with positive principles: if you lack a bold and decisive in your kindness, the choice will be made correctly.
First, the characters. Someone will say, “This is not the case!” Nevertheless, the antagonists once, twice - got sick, and only once they really posed a threat, the rest of the time only slightly tried to trick the protagonists. It is easy to believe in the power of good, because the director succeeds in convincing the viewer of the reliability of both characters and actions that come either from a pure heart, or out of ignorance, or because of harmful anger and envy. It is as if you feel on the subcutaneous level that evil exists somewhere behind the scenes, only it is far away, it is almost impossible to touch it, although the main character has experienced a lot in the past - and it feels too. But the power of nobility outweighs, and even if sometimes it resembles something childishly unreal, let the many successes of dysfunctional Michael Oher fall from the screen like nuts, you believe in this: the explanation of everything is not mythical luck, but work on yourself and the ability to sacrifice your own comfort for someone else. Quite real, fruitful, applicable to human traits.
Secondly, the sober balance of sports and everyday life. It could have been a drama about American football with life interspersed, but it’s a drama about life and family with interspersed football. At the head is not pleasing the fans of the game, but the human fate and the price of help, salvation, friendship, love - to someone who is not like you, but to the one in whom you see yourself. It's called humanity. You won’t be watching sports too often. Here you will learn the history of success and what led to it, remained behind the scenes of the fight on the field and the subsequent awards, but was the foundation of the results manifested.
Third, John Lee Hancock managed to achieve brilliance simplicity, touching those inner strings that do not touch philosophical depths, love or family tragedies, blockbusters with special effects. The mere fact that a white rich woman takes an uneducated, poor black teenager into her family is already the first step towards the distrust of a skeptical viewer, but life is unpredictable, stereotypical notions have no place in it. Rich people also have a big heart, as extremely simple, without the intricate form and content of the movie can beat deeper than the movie "with a twist" or a whole "grape bunch" of advantages.
Deserved nominations and awards. Fair box office and national success. The Invisible Side is a movie that should be bigger. After such films, you no longer doubt the global influence of kindness, honesty and nobility, which may not necessarily manifest itself in a group or an entire stratum of people. It is enough to do good for one person to make the whole world brighter and better.
Whatever you are, it all depends on your own choice.
Real kindness. Does it have motives and causes, or does it exist on its own as some kind of light energy? Here is a person, for example, doing charity. Is he good, or does he end up getting something? Perhaps satisfaction, awareness of oneself as a good person, is an objective reward for kindness. In this case, all people who seek this should urgently take the money to charities or become volunteers. But for some reason it doesn’t happen.
Perhaps this person simply cannot do otherwise. He'll have a conscience that he didn't help. Not for a reason. My own peace of mind. On the other hand, people who help others day in and day out, making it the meaning of their lives, are few.
Here's the real story. An orphan from a dysfunctional family, he wandered all his life in shelters. At the same time, he miraculously did not become hardened, did not fall under a bad influence. Perhaps that is why fate gives him a chance meeting with a wealthy family associated with sports. The guy has a good build and ability to rugby. He gradually becomes a member of the family. He is taken care of, helps to make a sports career, supports in studies.
I think that's real kindness. Inability to pass by an unwanted child. And the hero of the film “The Invisible Side” in his age and perception of life is still an absolute child, despite his size. It's not that simple. Many universities are fighting for the super player. And Tui's family is accused of pressuring the guy to accept the offer of a particular educational institution.
So what is it, kindness or work? Watch the movie and it will tell you a lot about the nature of love and kindness. In the meantime, just answer the question for yourself. Would you be able to love as your own son a big teenager from a dysfunctional family, but who can not really take care of himself?

Sometimes in real life there are such amazing stories that it is extremely difficult to believe them. They're like fairy tales we were told as children. In the real world, not everything is so beautiful and joyful, but sometimes fate gives people incredible gifts. It is difficult to say how the life of a famous player in American football would have developed if at one time he had not been sheltered by a family of kind and caring people. The fate of this man is so amazing and unusual that its transfer to the screen was a matter of time.
The plot of the film is based on the book by American journalist Michael Lewis. And tells us about a homeless, illiterate black teenager. He lived on the street and nobody wanted him. Until he was met by a wealthy white family. Who sheltered the guy and gave him what he so badly lacked, namely love and care. They believed in him and helped finish high school, go to college and become a professional athlete.
Director John Lee Hancock made a very touching and soulful film with a deep moral. The picture teaches us to be kind and show compassion to those who need help. And it is very exciting and interesting, so that two hours fly by completely unnoticed.
Much depended on the actors and they to their honor coped with the task. Sandra Bullock has played one of the best roles in her career. She did a great job and imagined the ideal mother who would do anything for her child. Even if he's not her family. Isn't that what matters? Perfectly conveying the full range of emotions and experiences that her character experiences. Honored Oscar for Best Actress. Bravo.
Quinton Aaron plays in the film himself Michael Oher. He lacks the acting experience to reflect all the experiences of his hero. But he tries and looks very confident, and his game makes a positive impression. The feeling of genuine concern for his fate does not let go throughout the film. Also pleased young Jay Head in the role of a younger brother, giving a mature and bright game. And to some extent responsible for humor in the tape.
The Invisible Side is a soulful, touching, kind and inspiring film for family viewing. A unique combination of life and sports drama. An amazing story based on real events, which carries a deep thought and leaves only positive emotions.
A bright, soulful film about family. When you look, your own problems suddenly stop bothering you! And for a short time you become a prisoner of the kind and energetic Lee Anne. And her energy is off the charts. You believe in her and you trust her.
Her friends are so at the other pole that you stop seeing them as people. So, sit well-groomed scenery and talk about charity.
Sandra Bullock is my favorite actress, she played great. Naturally and harmoniously! Michael is a miracle, he is sorry to tears. Nobody wants him until I see Lee Anne. She felt him intuitively, opened his heart, accepted him almost immediately. She is supported by her husband and children. The actor as the son of a treasure.
While watching, the thought flashed – I want to talk to them, talk about my problems and that Lee Ann (my Sandra) actively, energetically and kindly helped me.

From such films, the world becomes a little kinder.
How much do we listen to others? How willing are we to accept them as they are and help us see and develop our strengths without paying attention to our weaknesses?
About how kind we are to others, about how society is important to everyone and affects the individual. It's about modeling behavior and telling you, "Go to the best college, get the best grades, play the best teams." What if I just want to make hamburgers?
At 100% imbued with kindness and such a mood, he gives a slightly different look at his life, in which plans are set, goals are achieved and rise to other levels. Look not only at yourself, but also at others around you: family, friends, and even people whom we do not know, but who surround us.
And it seems that the plot is straight stamped already, but I during the entire viewing did not cause falsehood.
A little more empathy in the world.
About a month ago, I stumbled across a description of this film and put it to watch later when the right mood came. And then after a while the stars came together, I turned on the TV at the very beginning of the film and could not switch.
I want to talk not so much about the actors as about the story itself. So kind and bright and peaceful. After all, this story makes you wonder, what would you do in such a situation? Would you help a poor teenager or walk by? And, of course, I want to believe that you would not remain indifferent. It’s one thing to think like that and quite another to do it.
It was amazing that all members of the Tui family so cordially and immediately accepted Michael into the family, no one even glanced at the guy! And how sensitive the new mother behaved with him, who worried about him as her own son. The moment with the accident is in my opinion the most acute in the picture, because the situation is ambivalent and difficult, and it is simply impossible to predict how Lee Anne could behave.
The great kindness and naivety of Michael Oher in the modern world seems almost miraculous, but in fact it speaks of the incredible strength of spirit and faith in people. No matter what. The family that adopted Michael also shows the same kindness and love in return. It's so nice to know that there are people like that in the world!
The way Michael was treated by his new family is a role model. At the end of the day, when the boy goes to college, I want to say thank you.
