He taught me to back off in time. . . I just watched this movie. Emotions are really off the scale, but about everything in order.
The story is very realistic. For many, this is why it may have been felt ' unoriginal' script. It is with realism that he catches. Everything is very atmospheric and ' tasty', nice to watch. Yeah, exactly, nice. Even in moments of fan clashes, it is interesting to watch! There is no disgust that can appear, which is an undeniable merit of both the director and the actors. I want to mention Charlie Hunnam and Elijah Wood - this duo managed to fall into the soul.
The camera work, sound, soundtracks - everything is at a height, very harmoniously assembled into a full-fledged picture.
But I don’t want to talk so much about the technical component as about the moral component. This film raises eternal questions about good and evil, friendship, hatred, revenge and forgiveness. And in this moral question everything is extremely clear, accessible and aesthetically reflected. A strong final, I would even say - a double, the victory of the protagonist over himself, the triumph of justice, a sacrifice in the name of good ... The value of 'Hooliganov' is that it makes you think. To think about who we are, how we live, in what society, according to what principles, and most importantly, something should be changed to avoid a sad end. The main character Matt came to London 'Mamley', I would even say, through chur ' trusting citizen'. He was alone throughout his life: his mother died, his sister went to another country, his father is always busy at work, and ' friend' generally frames the main character. But meeting Pitt was a turning point. Matt is drawn to the leader of 'Med' (the West Ham United fan group) because he sees a reflection of himself, a full reflection. And that reflection represents the ideal Matt sought, which he lacked. Perhaps in the short time that they communicated, Pitt replaced the grief student of his father, gave the school of life. .
Otherwise, the grouping ' Mad', and in general the football movement, 'ultra' as you like, you can not name. It is there that he not only recognizes betrayal, friendship, but also what lies in one very succinct quote: ' They had a clear advantage, but since we stand for each other, we are not afraid.' Only when you stand for each other on a mountain, when you are sure that your friend is ready to give his life for you, there is an incentive to go forward. That feeling is unique. And I think football fans are one of the few who haven't lost it. I’ve been to games a few times, so I know what I’m talking about. It seems to me that the great director Lexi Alexander set a goal to reflect in her film, as one of the main problems of unity. And it was completely exposed. The second problem, in my opinion, is the topic of human stupidity. Yes, yes, nonsense. Major (founder ' Mad'), speaking with Matt, appeared as a wise man who had already passed youthful maximalism. He weighs the situation, thinks before he does. He understands that more expensive than family, the health of loved ones, and his own, no. He is a contrast of those boys, albeit great friends, fighters, but following their principles. And under the word 'boys' the same is meant and already 40-50-year-old fans, and have not discovered the meaning of life. And now I do not criticize football groups, in any case, even on the contrary, I sympathize; they have their own foundations, their own principles. The director showed on this example what they are based on, where people make mistakes, sometimes even fatal.
In general, you can argue for a very long time, but it is time to finish the review.
