- Comrade, a new crop of cranberries. We'll meet in an hour.
These are the words I heard when I tried to see something sensible in this picture.
Red Sparrow, & #34; Atomic Blonde, Anna – just in the last couple of years, similar ideological works have come out that would have gone extinct with the Cold War. Ahn no.
Now Luke Besson is on the stage. A person capable of releasing the most beautiful, but weakly paying off "Valerian" and immediately shoot "Anna".
This movie-- Nikita is still the same Frenchman, only a few in a different section. A Moscow drug addict recruits the KGB immediately after she lost all her friends and boyfriend. It looks at least more plausible than the recruitment of a famous ballerina in “Red Sparrow”.
Moscow, by the way, is good. In the yard of 1990, and in all the entrances there are intercoms, and a couple of temples have already been restored.
The plot "Anna" plays in nonlinearity and safely loses, because such a number of timeskips and flashbacks will not withstand even every series. And it's full of inscriptions like "Three years/month/party poker later." But, I must admit, watching this is interesting. Even if you get confused in time.
About the second act" Anna you will understand that you went to Besson, and ran into Petrov. Yes, our glorious Gogol from Rublevka played a small story arc.
The focus, of course, is on Sasha Luss as Anna. The actress, by the way, is a very famous Russian model. To watch her play is not to be ashamed. However, Besson can sometimes choose a successful cast. Moreover, in the composition are such mastodons as Cillian Murphy and Helen Mirren. People, as if created for spy fighters.
Is it possible to say that Anna is a spy fighter? Genre is beyond doubt. There will be a place for double and triple agents, travel and shooting. Here they are very similar to Matthew Vaughn's work in Kingsman. These are really adrenaline, dynamic and improbable battles. This is the best part of the movie.
Anna is a continuation of the trend of creating spy films about Russia and the United States. Chort knows what it is connected with, but Besson did not forget to entertain even such a confusing nonlinear story with ion blunders and Sasha Petrov.
Luc Besson once again proves that he can make a talentless movie!
I thought there would be no more Hellboy world premieres this year, but I was wrong.
“Anna” is a hulking and made-up picture. Extraordinary idiocy and stupidity are only a small part of all the disgusting thrash that Luke Besson shows us.
Now I will discuss why this is the most incompetent project of the famous director. . .
1. Scenario
It's literally bad!
All right, I'll start in order. . .
The plot tells about the Russian blonde Anna, who works for unknown people, but kills everyone she wants.
But the problem is that the story is just crazy and also insanely confused. I still understand these meaningless twists and confused passages of time that all but spoiled and complicated. But most importantly, I didn’t really know what time it was in the picture. Yes, purely theoretically, it is the USSR, because 1990. But where are Russian numbers, Russian cars, laptops and portable video cameras? In '90?! It was done so badly that it looked very poor. This caused bewilderment, nervous laughter and anger for the fact that instead of a normal worked-out story, I was shoved a plot written by a drug addict on my knee, which is completely devoid of logic and explanations of what is happening in general. More precisely, they are, but they are very difficult to understand. And if you really understand, then the delusional components are revealed and the logical question is: “How is this possible?” You think that's it?! No, there are a lot of cranberries that are starting to annoy and infuriate at the end of the film.
With the characters, everything is as miserable as with the plot. They act like fucking idiots, and sometimes their actions are not only illogical, but simply meaningless.
I can also say that each character is almost completely unwritten. We do not know anything about them at all, and over the course of timekeeping they are not revealed, and including the main character Anna.
Well, as a result, we get a script that Besson wrote drunk... well, or he finally fell into insanity. I love the work of Luc Besson and I also appreciate his contribution to world cinema. I generally think that the Fifth Element is one of the best fantastic action films at the moment, but this project is really insanely sloppy and talentless. There is a terrible, confused and confusing plot, which is explained by delusional arguments. Also on the site there are standard cranberries and historical mistakes that cause only laughter and bewilderment. Well, the characters create fig knows what and it is unclear why, and also for the whole picture are revealed. .no way.
What do you call it, isn’t it that Besson hit another bottom?!
2. Actors
The only more or less good component, which is also not without huge problems.
To begin with, Sasha Luss is nothing at all. How she even got the lead role without having a major acting experience is a mystery to me at all, although I do have some guesses. The most amazing thing is that Kristen Stewart in all of Twilight plays much more emotionally than she does, as amazing as it may sound. There's only one emotion in the whole picture. And this is partly because of her character does not care at all.
What is it? In the picture, Alexander Petrov plays his episodic role much more convincingly than it is the main one. You should have screwed up like that.
I will also mention the standard and very average, but still compared to Luss simply outstanding works from Helen Mirren and Luke Evans. Here they do not stand out except that they are partly the focus of the story, but for the most part it is quite standard for such a film.
Well, dragging all this component of Cillian Murphy, who is matchless in his role, and also just gorgeous. It is he and his character that you pay the most attention to.
In general,
This is a controversial component, but still not bad, which can not be said about the script.
3. Atmosphere/Visual + Action
This is also a bad thing.
The USSR is shown as caricatured, cranberry and wretched as possible. It seems that this is the same modern Russia with all the license plates and computers, and not the Soviet Union.
Well, other countries showed very well, in particular, I note the magnificent France, and to be more precise, Paris.
Yes, the hero is interested in the story, but only in order to understand it. The entourage itself does not catch and does not keep in tension.
You could say that the action partially saved and wrapped the ticket, but it is in two or three scenes, and the trailers leak too much. In general, it looks normal and standard. It's not very impressive.
Well, in general, we get another disadvantage of this project, which once again confirms its wretchedness.
Finally:
I don't know. Needless to say, the movie was bad. And that, by the way, is still understated! It has a disgusting script with undisclosed characters, no Sasha Luss, no atmosphere, but there is also Killian Murphy, who saves some minutes of timekeeping of the walking horror with his appearance.
Well, accordingly, the picture contains cranberries, delusional and illogical actions of the characters, sometimes devoid of meaning at all, as well as the characters themselves full of idiots and idiots who just commit such rash acts and blow themselves out on everything they were told.
And yes. Luc Besson once again proved to us that he can shoot talentless projects. Personally, I thought his limit of incompetence was Lucy, but I had to try so hard to beat the stupidity and delusions of the film with Scarlett Johansson. The director once again proved to us that he can make pictures even worse and disgusting. “Thank you so much for that!”
I will not hide that there were good moments in the picture, but on some good actors and a couple of action scenes, this tape can not be taken out either theoretically or practically.
In general, the film is full of bullshit, which you watch and try to understand what happened in this action movie, how it happened, why, etc.
I didn't like it at all. I didn’t think I’d see something this year that would be commensurate with the squalor and impressions of Hellboy, but I was wrong.
Personally, I strongly advise against going to the movies, but in general, if you want to make sure of all this, you can buy a ticket and go to this unbearable thrash. But fans of the director will be disappointed anyway. It’s much stronger than me...
Anna (Anna), 2019: as usual, the trailer showed the film as a cool spy action fighter, but in fact came out as usual cranberry-poop from Luke Besson.
In general, there are many interesting moments in the film that could give us a cool spy action movie in the correct interpretation and touched on it! But in the end, we have what we have. And now in order.
Sasha Petrov! It's just rust. He has a very episodic role. And even then, he didn't do it right! He overplayed and yelled and behaved strangely, as if playing in the TV series of the TV channel Russia. It's like I just memorized it. It was completely unnatural.
Kylian Murphy, why is he here? Absolutely incomprehensible. Maybe Luc Besson slipped him a different script or he was not invited to a normal movie. Sorry. The actor is great.
Luke Evans is something! The whole movie had one emotion on his face - that he was fattened and wanted to spoil the air, but he could because of the crew! It looked terrible.
Now let’s move on to the glitch and does the film fit in at the time? Cranberries to the navel! The appearance of cities, cars and clothes does not withstand any criticism, as the events took place in the late 80s! Coffee House, Skoda Yeti, Opel Astra 2010, Solaris 2012, car sharing, computer hard drive 2.5 with SATA3 inputs and USB flash drive, which was invented only in 1999! The film takes place from 1985 to 1990. But the cherry on the cake of the Nokia 3410 in 1989! Well, everyone has cell phones in Moscow and catches everywhere. All according to the secret documents of the parallel universe!
And the answer is that it is difficult at the present time to shoot correctly about that time, I note that there was such a film in 2017 called ' Atomic Blonde' also about spies and the events of 1989 in Berlin. So there was the atmosphere, the view of the city, cars and clothes - everything was so authentic that it seemed that it was really shot in those years.
What killed us the most is that the film shows us lesbians and lesbian love as the norm of life. To be honest, I would not be surprised that another generation of people and a demographic crisis will simply overwhelm Russia, when everyone will consider it normal to have same-sex relationships. And that's where it goes.
From the pluses, I note the action scenes. Yes, shot well, but the staging slipped in places.
In general, the story itself does not stand up to any comments. Everything is so unrealistic that it just makes you laugh. In fact, this is a film about a whore who fucked with everyone - with KGB, with the CRU and with a lesbian model. And then it turned out that she still loved everyone! By the way, especially for the defenders of feminists and their rights to such a movie: in 2010, a chic film with Jolie in the title role was released about a strong female spy, who dealt with all the villains in one face and was called that film 'Salt'! So, stop doing shit just because the trends these days are like this - you need the main character to be a super cool woman and with a lesbian friend and with a stupid plot. No one is against the films ala 'Soldier Jane' or 'Fifth Element'. You just need to write and write scripts!
In summary, the film is a kind of alternative to John Wick and Nikita under the sauce from ' Red Sparrow' for all lovers of feminism, lesbians and cool chicks of model appearance, but without a well-designed plot, the normally created world of the 80s and logic and adequacy of the narrative as a whole.
PS: Do not watch in the movies or at home
5 out of 10
Luc Besson is a great director for me. But as he grew older, he lost his grip, and I'm not saying it was his fault. After all, before there were action films under his supervision entertaining, with a beautiful musical theme (even take the production projects, for example, "Wasabi") colorful heroes, the best combat stunts. Everything was top-notch. I don't know if it's the 90s that are over. Whatever it was on the scene comes "Anna" - in which the nineties did not even end, judging by the bright hint of the final of "Boomer", and even Soviet times smells. But everything in order.
In the frame, secret organizations, the KGB and the CIA, the girl is on the verge of despair and is forced to work with them. Do you remember anything? Exactly, this suggests that the film repeats the script of “Red Sparrow”! But it goes the other way, without ballet and the Bolshoi Theatre. But there is in this project, some information, dialogues of the characters, unlike the picture with Lawrence, are filled with meaning, nothing is missed and almost all the characters, including Helen Mirren (by the way, her character at least has a personal case, a zest and views for which she fights) have their prescribed fates.
A separate topic is given to our compatriots, fiercely showing what they are considered. That's us Russians. Actually, the performers of the roles in the “Laws of the Stone Jungle” did not need to prove anything as such.
But Luke Evans distinguished himself, made fun of the scene with him and the heroine! Here's what, and I didn't stop laughing. I was surprised by his broken Russian language. Well, maybe he's just getting started. But the case takes a very sharp turn when Anna with an unfamiliar man, already in a hurry to start a relationship. Lawrence and Edgerton at least did it beautifully. And besides, if you compare it with Mathias Shonarts. Then I would choose the second, because the first, except charisma, behind the soul of the character there is nothing.
Cillian Murphy is a good actor. He has a small role to play here.
And finally, the director’s new muse, after “Valerian” Sasha Luss, won not only his attention, but also captivated by the savage skill of hand-to-hand combat (I liked the scene in “Glavpivtorg”), brilliant skills of English/Russian, as well as a love of literature. Now I understand why the director is now interested in blondes, and not in red.
To the lead actor, I wish you every success with such and such a baggage of talent. A Insomnia just accept the fact that the movies will come out again and again, either like this or under the blueprint. However, this film does not try to surpass Red Sparrow and does not want to leave its shadow. Cranberries are cranberries.
Moscow! The bells are ringing... Moscow! Golden domes...
And again the killer, and again 'hello'! From dirt to the elite the way.
Ah, my duck, meadow,
My young lady.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, young.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, young.
What impressions? What can I say? Quite in the spirit of cinema. And although the audience in the viewing room is ranked because of a number of piquant scenes on the "#39; up to 16 and older" & #39;, in my opinion, the movie is aimed at those who are not yet 16. Well, or here on the very same, only the adulthood found. ' Gopnism' French shaman demonstrates here. And it is the youth who take the accessibility of the language of expression in the delicacy. The extravaganza is like a computer rogue shooter in each of our hands. Press the remote. React instantly. Don't stop. Adrenaline in the blood. Will they soak or not? Can I pre-empt the strike? Dodging the fireworks of flying bullets? Fun. How to eat fun... And tell the viewer - action, thriller. Oh, Lee?
Where have you been, been, visited,
Where did you spend the night?
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, I spent the night.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, I spent the night.
Russia. Mother Russia revived the pages of the second half of the 80s. The collapse of the country. Power collapse. The empire of socialist goods is crumbling. People ' rogue and curate'. Only the Kremlin Square is an eternal carpet for visitors. Just pussy Matryoshki smiles of girls at demolition. Bazaar flutter with souvenir scarves and flasks, medals and caps. And the people? So he, for the most part, is that Professor Preobrazhensky's Sharikov, all sings, all amused. He doesn't care!
Oh, talk Moscow, talk Russia!
If M. A. Bulgakov made fun of the “timelessness” of the revolutionary fever, the master from the Elysee fields outlines the banditting lawlessness of the collapsed Soviet Union. And new ' human-dogs' smiles from the screen. Actor Alexei Petrov as ' actor Alexei Petrov'. How is that? In the sense that it doesn't grow, it doesn't change, without progress. Frozen on the same subject. An exploitative image. And next to Anna, his friend of the hard days. An immoral lifestyle. A vertep, making it at home, then on the street. And each of them has its own path, although similar to one another - to the bullet. Bullet. There was no other way. Russians are always Russians. And where do they not have, say, the KGB, the maestro asks? It's everywhere. It doesn't sleep. It's here. And Anna has the same path. Where? There. Yeah, yeah, back and forth. In the KGB...
What the hell is this? What the hell? Achinea, straight, something, will exclaim a videoman who tunes into a serious movie about killers, about special services. Yes, comedy is chosen here as the main channel of the river. Comic! And Anna's on duty. Really?
I spent the night in the woods,
Under the rakite and under the bush.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, under the bush.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, under the bush.
Sixty years of Luc Besson on the clock of the human age. Not a boy anymore. Pulled white-haired 'well done' into the world 'nostalgia'. At this age, we all become more sentimental. We soften the brain and members from the burden of life. And we fall into childhood, rebellious youth, remembering more and more often, revel in youth in the field of exploits of the past. Is it time to turn the glorious pages? Isn't it too early to take stock? Like in 'Nikita'(1990) transferred master. And if about those who 'Tibrit' without shame with the world on the thread can be said - plagiarist, here, the language does not turn like to say. He's using his. He's recycling his own. But in 1993 in the United States filmed a remake with Bridget Fonda - ' No Return'...
How the young guys came,
Good for you guys.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, you've got it.
Oi, luli, luli, luli,
Luli, deleted.
So what is the current 'Anna'? This is 'Nikita' and 'No Return' simultaneously. The first version wore French charm. In the second, Hollywood flirted with the American audience in an adapted ' terrain ' version. Well, here, therefore, pay tribute to the USSR. Everywhere the same paraphernalia of images: girl, curator, mentor, lover and target goals. Difference? There was some seriousness in the first two options. It's funny. What can I say, age affects. I want to make fun of myself.
So what?
Kalinka, Kalinka, my Kalinka!
In the garden of a raspberry berry, my raspberry!
Oh, kalinka, kalinka, my kalinka!
In the garden of a raspberry berry, my raspberry!
Let's take it in order! So, everyone ' patriots' stop moaning at the famous maxim, ah, they don't like us Russians! First of all, who noticed of course that the film was shot in the genre of alternative reality (story) is now fashionable! And in this sense, any insinuations about Russophobia and ' the order of slanderous cinema' imperialist propaganda - a vague fart in a muddy puddle! Of course, any 'alternative history or universe' you can disguise the most that is not a blatant nonsense, but here this technique is almost an indulgence for Besson. What we see: computers, digital printers, mobile phones and pagers, a fleet of cars of the late 90s and early 00s, banks and ATMs & #39; Soviet Union' that speaks of non-compliance with the realities of the Cold War of the 70s - mid 80s. So, an alternative reality, very close to the current reality of the model of the late 90s, early 00s, as I have already said, but without the collapse of the USSR and the presence of the KGB (without the KGB – no way!), with flags and portraits of the grandfathers of Lenin and Dzerzhinsky in the offices of GeBukhi! Well, fantastic, that's fantastic - do what God puts on the soul, for which plus in karma! So with the first paragraph about 'Russophobia' we're done. For those who do not understand this, I am not sorry at all! I didn't have to study at the Arbuzolyte PTU!
Now, actually, it's a subjunction. The plot is not sparkling, in many ways predictable, with the exception of the finale, comes to mind the filthy fake from Francis Lawrence & #39; Red Sparrow' (Is it interesting that the daddy here added a daughter?) and the masterpiece Bessonovskaya Nikita. Unfortunately, apparently in his old age, Besson will never reach the level of Nikita, and therefore ' Anna' far from Nikita, but not liquid feces ' Red Sparrow' well, hangs somewhere in the middle, not shaky, not roll! As a result: the film, although not a sluggish Krasnovorobyovshchyna, but even a live such tape, replete with chases on police lads in the entourage of the Kremlin Walls, a powerful fight on the first task, clearly plagiarized by himself (Besson) and quite monotonous adventures of Anna, accompanied by flashbacks, which are the feature of the film, although again not original and worn. As a result, the intrigue is resolved to everyone’s pleasure in the most non-trivial way, which puts a fat point in this sad story. So: frankly a failure film, but for an excellent cast especially Helen Mirron and Killian Murphy, an interesting unexpected finale, mass action, and be 5.5 out of 10 possible!
P.S. The film is not boring, but for once!
