Sex and nothing personal is just an entertainment movie. And, yes, it's a compliment. The debut of Olga Ryashina on the big screen was not successful in everything, but in many ways. The story of the accountant Sergey (Roman Lutsky), who, quote: ' In sex, complete zero' and is obliged to correct it not without the help of his friend-artist Vasily (Sergey Pritula), is remarkable, first of all, visually - the work of the operator (Dmitry Nedrya), colorcore, location (up to the successfully rhyming architecture of Lviv with such in Prague) - all together creates the necessary level of cinematic convention, in order to pull the viewer out of reality for a little more than an hour and a half, which, alas, they often do not even try to achieve abstract cinemativity in Ukrainian films; #39
The rest 'Sex...' not so definitely good. Acting work is surprising - positively in the case of Sergey Pritula (plays Sergey, de facto, himself, but in the frame is damn organic, and therefore good), Roman Lutsky (despite the discrepancy of the image purely externally, Roman compensates for this convincing embodiment of the inner transformation of the character), the main surprise was the short performance of Andrei Danilko. The scene with his participation is one of the most unexpected and remarkable. Danilko is really acting here (do not expect Serdyuchka’s image to be exploited), really convincing and, undoubtedly, enjoys it, and with it the viewer will also enjoy it.
Leading female roles - strippers Diana and the plot reason for Sergei's trip to Prague Lesi - surprise with a minus sign. The blame lies primarily on the script. These characters, although declared opposites of each other, differ fundamentally only in their attitude to Sergei as a sex partner. Both need finance, both depend to some extent on the hero Roman Lutsky, both are pragmatic and absolutely static with respect to the development of characters. Only the charm and charisma of the performers could revive them, which did not happen. Reasons? Natalka Mazur (Lesia) has an illustrative character of the game, an eternal emotional peak (which gives comics, but destroys the character as a person), Angelika Nikolaeva (Diana) has a game with a smile and on a smile, against all odds.
Unmentioned minor characters live and breathe only for jokes. And jokes in 'Sex...' naturally, about sex. They are devoid of sharpness, they are devoid of vulgarity. Objective analysis ' Funny / Not Funny ' impossible, so let me just say that the audience of the film is a couple. A contingent of naturally cynical teenagers is at risk of getting bored. Romance is more important than comedy.
The little things in which the devil is known. First of all, it is worth noting the laudable attempt of the creators to reflect globalization and multiculturalism through the presence of Russian, Czech and English languages. Let a foreign-language crowd noticeably fake (especially with regard to English speech) - the desire to fit the Ukrainian hero into the international context, leaving politics out of the box, pleases. The local heroes for some time are devoid of intense patriotic pathos, which for our cinema is an unconditional triumph.
The last paragraph about 'Sex...' will be positive. For 'Sex...' - the movie is entertaining, without additives and attempts to become something more, and therefore - honest. Compliance with the framework of the genre with the absence of obsessive moralizing, pressing superidea and invasion of the current political agenda - this and similar tapes can and will determine the mass segment of Ukrainian cinema. Flaws will cure experience.
When the title is sex and the poster is Prytula, is the viewer entitled to expect our response to "American Pies"?.
'Sex and nothing personal' - a remake of the Canadian film "Sex and nothing extra" (2012), one-to-one copying the plot of the original source. Lviv accountant Sergei (Roman Lutsky) is unable to satisfy his girlfriend’s demands in bed. Lesya (Natalia Mazur), his passion, asks for a break in the relationship, and Sergey goes to Prague to live with his friend gallerist Vasily (Sergei Pritula), who advises to throw out of his mind failed love and try to communicate with other women. However, Sergey, while still missing Lesya, tries to make her jealous. But nothing comes of it. And then the hero asks a new acquaintance stripper Diana (Angelika Nikolaev) to become a personal mentor in the fight against his sexual insecurity.
Five people, led by Pritula himself, worked on the script of Sex, which is surprising given the secondary nature of the film. The collective mind, like the mountain that gave birth to a mouse, has prescribed heroes so repulsive that there is not the slightest possibility of empathizing with them.
Roman Lutsky, who was one of the pillars of “Watchout” in 2017, drives his character so deeply into the abyss of male inefficiency that apart from a sense of squeamish pity and shame for representatives like Sergey, nothing more provokes. It is not surprising, because he managed to fall in love with Lesya, who, not ashamed, pushes his partner, in every way humiliating his male and human dignity. People like her are called skins in slang, and any decent man stays away from them. Diana, who inherited an apartment in Prague, breaks into their couple by chance. This girl’s virtues ended, because the mental abilities of the heroine did not advance her beyond the trade in her body.
Screenwriter Pritula prescribed “Sex” life-giving injections in the form of himself. You didn't. Despite the fact that his hero on the poster is the first after “Sex”, the comedian appears sporadically and instantly wakes the dozed viewers, that time after time get tired of watching the attempts of a curly mattress to turn into macho. Sergey Pritula is a minion in the best traditions of Despicable Me. Timon and Pumba in the classic Lion King. Being a wedding general and a kind of lightning rod for the tape, he still does not block the dubious message that plays out a love-triangular capito inside himself.
A man buys everything for money. A woman makes her way through bed.
Who has the "Weinstein approves" stamp? There he is!
Cotton!
The stuffing with the sweetness is slightly softened by the decent camera work of Dmitry Nedri, who in 2016 had an eye for the #SELFIEPARTY of Lyubomir Levitsky. Thanks to his efforts and those of his kind, our cinema is approaching the age of a sophomore girl. It looks pretty, but it's still stupid.
Sex and Nothing Personal is the perfect movie for the New Year holidays. In the drunken veil of the wires of the previous year and the meeting of the coming year, a rare viewer has a desire to arrange a critical analysis of romantic comedies. Therefore, despite all the revealed roughness, there will be no conclusions about the feasibility of viewing. The case of Sex is one where it can be easier. He's certainly a remake. But he's our remake.
The film is aimed at forming the middle class of capitalist Ukraine.
The film is clearly dual: there are positive heroes, there are negative heroes. Ie is designed for ' child' worldview, where everything is divided into black and white, good and evil.
The film is fairy tale. Since. creates illusions in the viewer: a girl can safely go to work in other countries, you can work as a stripper and not become a prostitute, promiscuous sex does not entail any negative consequences.
The film focuses the viewer on the search for happiness in sensual pleasures.
The comedy element, in my opinion, is well done - it makes you smile in the appropriate places.
The directorial and camera work of IMHO is commendable.
The main imperatives introduced into the subconscious of the viewer:
1) The basic principle of capitalist society 'Think and get rich' (the main aspiration of all the characters of the film, except for the craving for mating - the formation of a comfortable life for yourself and those who are loved);
2) 'Pay your bills correctly' and between the lines 'pay your taxes' and you'll be happy (the stripper's financial history);
3) 'It is safe to go to work in other countries' (you only need to know the local language and follow the rules);
4) 'Sodomy is fun and the order of things' (gay parade, dildo);
5) 'Should be loyal to sodomy' (censure belongs to negative characters, positive characters speak politically correct, because they speak in relation to themselves);
6) 'Personal violence is permissible and sometimes useful' (episode with sado-maso, episode with raider seizure of property);
7) 'Yoga is the path of inadequacies' (the mother of the main character is shown in the film as a negative character, and at the beginning of the film it is not by chance given an episode in which she practices yoga);
8) 'The cryptocurrency is on the rise and on the rise, it is liquid'.
I am not a fan of domestic cinema, but the trailer hooked either good music, or the presence of the most media at the moment TV presenter of our country Sergey Pritula. Before the start of viewing, there was a persistent expectation of a classic stupid comedy, but expectations tend to remain unjustified.
A tough but funny film about a modest guy - an accountant who believes in love and feelings, but does not think about the physical side of manifestation of love - sex. You can joke about this for a long time, but these guys still exist (fortunately or unfortunately). The viewer opens the way ' possession' a young man of the art of making love.
The film is full of vulgar jokes, but they are not dirty, but quite funny.
The script limps. Questions remain like ' So money decides everything?' or ' A friend immediately realizes that you are in bed like a log?' and the like.
Rescue ' this-yourself' script play actors. Nice, naive, and sometimes downright disgusting. The viewer's opinion about the characters changes throughout the picture.
Special respect for good camera work. Some shots are simply breathtaking, and when you add chic architecture and falling snow, you get a real romantic miracle.
In addition, there is a lot of good Ukrainian music in the film, so it will be very difficult to sit still.
'Sex and nothing personal' is a good Ukrainian comedy, for those who do not have complexes and who do not cover their ears when mentioning the word 'Sex'. A great movie to watch with friends or soul mate.
It so happened in modern Ukrainian cinema that “comedy” has become the most popular and most profitable genre. In December 2018, the premiere of three comedies of Ukrainian production is expected, among them – “Sex and nothing personal”, which takes the first place out of three prizes. Not because she's perfect, she's just too weak.
The main character of the film is a modest accountant Sergey. He sincerely loves his girlfriend and dreams of proposing to her during a joint trip to Prague, where they were kindly invited by Vasily (Sergei Pritula), an artist and childhood friend of the protagonist. But just before leaving, it turns out that the girl (Natalia Mazur) does not intend to continue her relationship with Sergey, since he does not satisfy her in bed, and is too boring. After a brutal truth spilled in his face like a glass of cold water, Sergei travels to Prague alone, where he meets a friend, a stripper and other adventures.
"Sex and Nothing Personal" is a very colorful film. It is at the same time a place for funny and slightly banal dialogue, good acting and its lack of credibility, echoing coincidences too frequent to believe. However, the film leaves a rather pleasant impression. The influence of Pritula and his team is noticeable not only on the poster, where the famous comedian is somehow depicted in the foreground, but also in the work on the script. The humor here is absolutely Pritulov, but the film only benefits from this. In the film, where the theme obliges to joke about what is below the belt, the writers still managed not to get vulgar, although some words may not like the most scrupulous viewers. In every Ukrainian film must be present at least one celebrity from show business, whose face will call the audience to the cinemas. The main celebrity of “Sex and nothing personal” proved that she knows how to lead shows, voice cartoons, and, if necessary, write scripts, and be a good actor.
The main characters also don’t disappoint. Roman Lutsky, the main character of the film, although he replayed in the “drunk” scenes, but in general he looked convincing, and got used to his image quite well. Separately, I would like to mention Angelika Nikolaev, who appeared before us as a sexy, uninhibited woman, and at the same time a fragile and incredible sweet. We can assume that the duet of accountant and stripper was successful, their couple believe and empathize. Not far behind her colleagues and Natalia Mazur, with dignity playing the role of the main antagonist of the film. For Nikolaeva and Mazur, by the way, this is the debut in a big movie.
Sex and Nothing Personal is a cute, romantic, funny and beautiful-sounding movie. And yes, he is the main Ukrainian Prime Minister of December.

Over the past 15 years, the comedy genre has fallen sharply in quality. What is Russia, what is Ukraine is the impression that the experience of Gaidai and Ryazanov is forgotten and dissolved in emptiness, and new filmmakers are simply devoid of common sense, intelligence and the most important thing - a sense of humor.
And the new Ukrainian comedy 'Sex and nothing superfluous' - this is direct confirmation.
Looking at this attempt to squeeze at least a smile from the viewer, it becomes painful. Is everything so bad, so primitive, so degraded? . .
Yes, that's right.
Remembering the same 'American Pies' and all the other vulgar comedies that were focused more on the topic of sex, it becomes even more painful. For it is clear that Ukrainian filmmakers are very fiercely (like their Russian colleagues) trying to copy ' rotten' The West has not given any talent to either.
As for the vulgarity in comedies, it is almost everywhere, over the past 25 years has become one of the pillars of the comedy genre.
But there are directors who weave vulgarity into sparkling jokes, funny and ridiculous situations, etc., than cause the viewer to laugh. An example of this is any comedy, from the French 'Supernanny', 'Superalibi' to the American 'Bachelors', 'A Very Scary Movie', the comedy Sandler and Seagal, etc. Someone did better, someone did worse. But mostly, it was made funny and it continues to be.
However, in contrast to this, there are directors who believe that it is enough to show the genitals on the screen or pronounce their name out loud, it is already ridiculous. This sinned and the late Sandler and Tiddes and ... almost all Russian comedy directors.
Adreasyan, Kryzhovnikov, Moskalenko, Weisberg and others like them are people who believe that if you fill 1.5 hours of timekeeping with vulgarity and only vulgarity, then you will get a comedy masterpiece.
But as practice shows, it doesn’t work. But nevertheless, comrades still do and do these comedies & #39; without stopping and thinking about anything.
And they were followed by filmmakers from Ukraine, in particular - Olga Ryashin.
It is very, very symbolic that the director is a woman. Just pops up in memory '50 shades of gray'.
The plot of the film is as simple as 5 kopecks - a guy is unable to do an interesting thing with a girl. And then something pops up again, namely 'Forty-year-old virgin' with Carrel. But quality vulgar comedies should be immediately forgotten - here everything is different.
Kamon, even on the poster, the title of the film is laid out by dildos!
What did those who created it all think? . .
Did they even think about it?
And so, poor and unhappy, reversibly and harshly overplaying, and sometimes not playing the guy, his girlfriend sends, but not on foot erotic, as one might suppose, but in Prague, to his friend, that he would help our nyshya-shame with curls and mustaches (where without these clichés) to become macho.
Well, it would seem - is it difficult to make a funny story out of such a plot, with a lot of awkward moments and funny situations, it is interesting to show and develop characters, write really funny jokes. . .
As Boromir - ' You can't just take ...'.
You can't.
The whole film heroes are not funny jokes, crooked, try to play, torment emotions... It looks as miserable as possible. Acting is the bottom of the bottom. Especially girls - where did you get them from, 'actress'? It's just impossible to play so badly. Guys are exactly the same - fake, mediocre - everything goes together. How come I don't understand? As if they were specifically told to play as bad as Tommy Wiseau did not play.
Jokes.
Oh, my God!
She is his mentor, well, like Master Yoda.
- I’m going to give you Star Wars!
- No words.
When you stimulate the oral clitoris. . .
- Where is this clitoris?
- What forest did you grow up in?
-Faispalm-
Who wrote this? What was going on in his/her head/head? What should I use to write?
And this is not a qualitative situational humor, no, it is just the name of the penis, an attempt to beat with the lack of sexual experience in a guy, which in itself is made simply extremely poor and ridiculous and generally difficult to believe that such a person can actually exist in our time. And the creators filled in 90% of the timekeeping, in the hope that it could make someone laugh.
Everything else that is in this film - poor camera work, bad soundtrack, disgusting editing, a lot of gooseberry moments and most importantly - the sea, not even - the ocean of vulgarity, which is pathologically not funny.
Once again, vulgarity is ridiculous, but if it is correctly inscribed in the film or in a certain situation - as it was in the first & #39; American Pies' Or the most obvious example is the scene with the police commissioner in season 3, episode 6 of the British TV series ' No offense'. It is both ridiculous and even stupid, but given everything that has happened before, and given the situation itself, it is ridiculous, despite the vulgarity, and the vulgarity itself on the frame is not demonstrated and not pronounced aloud completely, but only with individual hints.
Well, do not forget the last allusions towards the same '50 shades'.
'Sex and nothing personal' - absolutely not funny and talentless fake, in which everything is bad. It remains to be hoped that someday in the CIS to learn how to shoot high-quality comedies, and not this thrash.
