We watched on the big screen and although the cartoon is nowhere easier, there are no chips and more fabulous edging, although children I liked the squirrels and the squirrels the most. I was hooked on the adventure side of the question. There's a good Yaga, Watery, Lesh, evil Belladonna. In terms of animation entourage, there is a large roll to the west side, but it turned out All right. You can watch it once. 7/ 10.😁
In short, the plot is secondary, the graphics and animation are disgusting, the characters are familiar to everyone for a long time, the goat is a pseudo donkey from Shrek, the cones are minions. Okay. It is not recommended to watch this at the age of over 9 years. End of review. But wait. Then why is my rating above average? The picture should be regarded as a cartoon for children, and in the second place according to the criteria of an adult who has seen everything on the screen. And the children are different in that they could not watch Shrek. Each character for them can be original and original, and the plot - new. And if we proceed from this premise, the cartoon is not so bad due to the plot, which covers the adult generation at once, showing the story of familiar characters on the other hand, and small viewers, in which they see already known stories about friendship, betrayal, good and bad characters. They laugh at the cones, they just love the cat, because he, like any cat, weaves sour cream on both cheeks; the monster at the apple is afraid to the very end, and then surprised by the plot twist. Not to say that the story is something impressive, but it is interesting to follow the characters, and some of them are really original: the evil sorceress is not a witch at all, but just a deceiver using the work of other people; the cat is a good engineer, striving for new knowledge; the cones are the fruit of unsuccessful experiments; the princess is so clever and brave for a reason, but because her father is an athlete, which clearly affected the upbringing of her daughter; even the goat is no longer a copy of the Shrekovsky ass, but a parody of hockey players who bet on physical, and not on mental development - he even responds to the coach. And most of the little things are not just inscribed in the plot, but also beaten. At the same time, sometimes the production is disgusting, and you think for the director what happens on the screen: aha, here the princess runs away from the forest with all her legs and does not even notice that she gets into the swampy swamps, so she gets to the house of the witch; and here they show why a magic book is so necessary, here, it seems to show how she helps to magic. By sympathizing with the characters, you help the director (two to be more precise) with your imagination. In general, the mood of the picture reminded me of “Red cap against evil”, which is also technically bad, but has a great plot. And for those who are familiar with this object of 3D animation, it will be agreed that the local Yagov goat is rather a cousin of the goat from the hat. The graphics are not disgusting. There is a very noticeable difference in the scenes, and towards the end there are more elaborate elements. Sometimes not only different models catch your eye, but also a lighting render. In a couple of moments, the authors simply forgot to add shadows to the frame. Everything about the physics of hair and wool is done perfectly, but flat models of houses of the “city” are something errant. Probably, the costs of removal - depending on the competence of the contractor, such a heterogeneous result was obtained, and there was no person who would monitor the unified quality control. Now for humor. It's there, and sometimes it's pretty good. Moreover, it is played not only in dialogues - visual differences of characters or environment are also used. That's not bad. In general, the picture produces the same impression as a student who is sympathetic to the teacher, but answers poorly on the exam, and he tries to pull it on the test. He doesn’t like the answers because they are full of mistakes, but in the end the teacher sighs, but still puts his signature. So here – on the shortcomings want to close your eyes, and the public is advised to look for some individual moments, such as the history of the origin of the hut Yaga.

On the background of the favorite "Koshchi - Bride Snatcher", I wanted to see something so light and cute. “Yaga” was chosen by the children, they liked the trailer and annotation. This cartoon continues the series of folklore antiheroes, but, unlike the story about the lonely Koschei, there is a lot that is missing.
First, the simplicity of the plot could be the same plus, if it was not covered with solid gags. I understand that they tried to make fun of it, but it turned out to be some incoherent hum and absurdity. There are funny moments, but they can hardly be distinguished from other garbage. The creators were inspired by “Snow White”, but to intertwine the history of “Yaga” with a somewhat foreign fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm did not work. Secondly, the hero is of course beautiful. Beautiful. All. She has no other merits, because she is not, or rather - faded inside, empty. The same empty and faceless other heroine, which in the plot needs help. And the third lady, who acts as an antagonist, is equally faceless and uninteresting. The three key female characters are presented in a rather wretched way; I don’t know if that was intended, but come on – even the Evil Queen’s henchman is much more charismatic in the background on the left in the corner. Thirdly, an attempt to push a large-scale journey with adventures into a narrow framework and a rather stupid ending.
However, despite all this, the children rather liked the cartoon. There were those unexpectedly funny moments with a crazy goat Sivka, M&M’s bumps and a pink Spitz, from which everyone just cried with a laugh mixed up. The cat initially infuriated, but then began to somehow straighten and touch. The fox, as I said, is trying to save a bad team with his rosphorus. And, in general, the background drags the first with all its might.
From a full meter we like to review, perhaps, everything that is associated with the Three Bogatyrs. Other cartoons go one or two times. In the case of Yaga, this is not surprising: the eye has almost nothing to catch on to, but it will go away for once. If this is part of some franchise, then the next cartoon will need to work better, because it looks like the script was written by a neural network. And yet the review is positive at least for the study of characters not in the main positions.
7.5 from 10
The film, like all of them, is about good and evil. But here it all starts very abruptly. Out of nowhere, Zlata becomes an evil character - although there were no prerequisites for this. We don’t know where she came from or who she was, or what started her crime.
Yaga is friendly at first, but she understands why she became so. But she still has a good heart.
The plot, of course, is not new. All the characters are already known here. But there is a lot of action, not boring.
The biggest point is the drawing of heroes. It is a very clumsy cartoon in general. The legs and arms of the characters do not bend, roughly drawn hands and face in general, especially eyes.
In general, if not for such a bad drawing, the cartoon is quite watchable.
I read a lot of negative reviews and decided to write my own.
The cartoon introduces us to Jadwiga, who lives in the woods with her aunt and learns to do witchcraft. The case introduces her to a city girl who collects mushrooms in the forest and is attacked by a wolf. Yadwiga is actually saving her from death. Girls meet and become friends. Not bad at all to start with. Then events of an incomprehensible kind begin to occur. Here I will include the incomprehensible origin of Zlata. I don't know where Jadwiga came from. Just a girl living with her aunt. Okay. I will not describe the plot further. I'll just write the impressions of watching. They're mixed. I grew up on Soviet cartoons and I don’t quite understand when negative characters are made positive. And not just here. Motivation of the heroes. Leshche has an obvious bipolar woman, Water was made a hermit in a diving suit. Burka is stupid and stupid. The most appropriate was Kotofey. Reminiscent of a cat scientist, you can write without a hyphen. Adult Jadwiga is also weird. An interesting image of an adult Zlata (Beladonna). When I was a kid, the girls were the same age. Mature healthy aunt with manic habits with a desire to be first in everything and everywhere. Yadwiga looks like 10 years younger. There is nothing more to say.
The graphics are interesting. You can see that we tried, but it turned out as always. Surprised that the film was shot at the studio of the Locomotive, which has a chic tape of Koschei. Beginning.
In general, the cartoon is not bad, you can reconsider. The final song on the credits, well, not the place. Not for a children's cartoon, like some adult jokes in the tape.
At the beginning of the cartoon it is clear how it will end.
I think, "Why didn't I like this cartoon?" And the answer is, "Weak soundtrack and weak advertising campaign did their job." This cartoon fits the age limit of 6+, but adults will be bored. Although the project has stars of Russian show business - Yulia Khlynina, Fedor Bondarchuk, Glucose's daughter - but adults will be bored watching it. It's definitely not family animation. All jokes in the cartoon are designed for the viewer 6+. Director Sakov introduced into the plot too complex philosophical load about betrayal and retribution. It turns out that bad characters (this is according to popular rumor) can be deceived, because of which their lives will change dramatically. The topic of betrayal is relevant in modern Russia. Director Sakov explains that there will always be retribution for all sins. The witch Yaga appears as the main character, who was disappointed in people. Disappointment is a sign of maturity and a symbol of shattered dreams. What do the main characters dream about? Understanding, love, friendship. Belladonna is a woman who seeks power.
The cartoon is boring. The plot is narrative, and intrigue can only interest a child. Producer Fyodor Bondarchuk only takes the first steps in animation. I would advise him to pay more attention to the soundtrack. I consider a similar project to "Koshchia". Bride Snatcher (2022). But producer Selyanov already knows that animation is important for both adults and children. These adventures of the sorceress Yaga (her voice is Khlynin) resemble a girl protest against her growing up. The voiceover is professional, but the plot is too fluid. I really liked Kotofey (voiced by Vinogradov). Such characters are needed in the plot, like clowns and project drivers. What's the moral of the cartoon? That betrayal cannot be forgiven, and that there will always be retribution for that sin. The cat is very funny.
I really liked how Kotoga celebrated his birthday. It was funny. There's no movie plot. That is, at first the cartoon is clear how it will end. This predictability will fascinate a 6+ child, but not their parents. There is predictability and there is storytelling.
There are funny moments in the cartoon, and all of them are related to Kotofei. Kotofei is like a trigger for everything funny that is in this project. I didn't like the cartoon. I was bored sitting in the hall.
I thought that was the bottom of Russian animation. Several cartoons about Kaschei of varying degrees of psychedelicity.
And then down there, as they say, knocked. Yaga and the spell book.
In terms of quality, this one does not sink and hangs in the same hole with those Koschei.
It's the best start to a baby cartoon. Yaga's aunt is burned alive by Zlata's sworn girlfriend. Nice, nothing like that.
You can see right away, taking care of the child's psyche. Although fairy tales are for the most part quite bloodthirsty, it is controversial, of course.
And then, Zlata, aka Belladonna - the only more or less adequately acting character. He wants power, so he practices magic, nightmares everyone, cuts into cabbage, as an antagonist should.
Another daughter, Blue Eyes. The collective image of a princess in trouble, oppressed by an evil stepmother. It's a simple, stupid character.
Yaga is a very strange woman. She can do magic without a book. She has a book and almost stops doing magic. Right, what the hell? Why protect yourself from people who burn witches? She does nothing at all, only cherishes the dream of revenge (she herself says that she dreamed of revenge if anything). And then on a weak two, because at the same time to oppose the villain she has nothing. At all. It does not master magic in an accessible way, nothing else. What they do, they do not think, what they bother.
They made minions look like shit. Yeah, I can't think of my own. The joke about Ikea is out of the question, but at least it's funny. This is the only more or less useful joke for the whole cartoon.
Water was cut either from the Last hero, or from where, very familiar, I can not remember where I saw him already.
The plot is below the baseboard. He's just as beaten as he's slackly executed.
You can even add highlights to a worn-out plot. Bring up an interesting topic. I recently watched Snow White and Red Shoes 2020. Same old story, but at least they tried! The topic of evaluation of fixation on appearance was very well played in the plot. This theme spun the whole story. It is not a masterpiece, but at least you can see it.
Graphics suck in the history of graphics. Not in the history of slack, it was worse.
But she could be forgiven if the plot and heroes were normal.
There is no need to waste your time on this horror. Not to mention the money.
I am not a fan of writing negative comments, so I will simply express my general impressions, and you decide for yourself whether to watch this cartoon and show it to children.
Animation.
3D animation is the pain of Russian animation. Back in 1995, Pixar Studio released a wonderful cartoon 'Toy Story', in 2023, domestic cartoon makers, only half a step passed through angular models, flat backgrounds, ragged movements and questionable chiaroscuro. You can see that the picture has become brighter, the images are more vivid and expressive, but the feeling of cheapness has not disappeared anywhere. It’s as if it’s not one of the biggest studios in the country, but enthusiastic amateurs who first discovered Blender. But still, this is a step in the right direction. I hope it will only get better.
Characters.
I was pleased with a new vision of a familiar character from childhood. The characters have an interesting design, but in nature they are still flat. Goat is a parody of Donkey from 'Shrek'. That's a parody, not a reference. It's kind of a caricature. He's not funny, scary and stupid. Are these the secondary characters in children's cartoons? The only ones really alive here are bumps. Ironic, isn't it?
Plot.
There's not much to say. He's not. Illogical, sometimes, dialogues and actions of the characters, beaten plot twists. And for all the saturation of action, the cartoon came out monotonous and boring. Boring! For a cartoon, that's the worst part. It can be sad and gloomy, but not boring. I saw through the force to the end. If you are looking for something for the evening for the whole family, pay attention to 'Cat in Boots: Last Wish' there is also animation at the highest level and characters familiar from childhood and an interesting non-trivial story.
Conclusion.
I liked the design and design of some of the characters. I got 4 for that. Otherwise: not impressed, not interested, do not want to continue.
I like to watch cartoons, so I clicked on this one, because I already looked at a similar topic (Koshchey, like), and now very few good cartoons are made. This is not an exception, but just the opposite - the most obvious indicator ' how to do in any case is not worth' or ' Guide, how to lose a lot of money and cheat the whole country'.
I can understand everything - terrible graphics, the whole cartoon is tied to cynodes (as the cat lay in the end, pay attention), the first frame - the princess is met by a half-dog-half-dragon (at the same time he haws apples, which in theory should be treated, but something does not cure him for so much time) with ' fiery embraces' the second one where she is already very close, in general illogical development of the plot (the cat is like a mechanic, and the stup did not fix) BUT jokes about alcohol in a children's multi-block (I consider this to be a multiple!)
In general, I do not advise anyone, unless well, very young children of the age of 4 (and the rating is 6+, the question is why?).
At the same time, the film is positioned as a family movie, but adults will clearly be unhappy with it. You are so distracted by the quality of the cartoon performance that even emotions do not slip in you when plot twists occur, everything runs too fast.
But I want to praise - I put two stupidly because of the ability to draw water, so I would put 0.
And all of them (as mentioned above) are in charge. 7.8 at 98K reviews. Well, unless it's a cheat, of course.
The motto of the cartoon - everything is simple - everything is in Russian.
I know you're wondering why this cartoon scores 7.8?'. I was like that when I watched it. But thanks to the credits, all the answers fell away for me: the production is engaged in the studio Parovoz.
Studio Steam locomotive is known for filming content for the youngest: Engine Tishka, Mi-mi-bears, Arkady Parovozov. Not that it’s a bad thing: for the animation business, it’s a good start. However, children are a very inexperienced audience, which is very easy to impress. Try to watch your favorite childhood shows - you remember them more colorful, expensive and fascinating than they really are.
So did Yaga. Evidently, poorly disguised borrowings from Shrek, Minions, Wizards of Waverly Place, The Little Mermaids and the Three Bogatyrs (where the sea king was). You can see that the characters were designed for specific functions: this gives text humor, this buffoonery, these will make a cat and a dog, because children love pets. It is clear that the script was written strictly according to a template. It is obvious that the director does not know how to put action scenes. You can see that the whole team, instead of writing jokes, is just shaking a bunch of keys in front of the baby. For some reason, the contribution of Leonid Barats is not visible: did the editor cut all the jokes of a member of the Quartet I?
We see problems. And preschool children don't. All right, kids cartoon about the victory of good, the child did not bother me for an extra hour and a half. The Locomotive Studio does not want to grow with its audience - and fine. But then do not create the appearance of a cartoon, which will be interesting to watch not only children, but also adults. Adults in the middle of the story will look at the clock more often than the screen.
I accidentally saw a cartoon advertisement on the Internet. I started watching the trailer, and it got even more interesting. I didn’t go to the cinema, so I decided to go home. I waited a long time to get on the platform and waited. But expectations were better than reality.
Of the advantages, I want to note the good voices, the very idea and the quality of animation. Very cute was Sivka-Burka, cones, Kotofey and other fabulous friends. And then there will be downsides.
First, when we wait for a Russian fairy tale, we clearly do not want to see the uniforms of Russian emperors of the early 20th century, the trousers of our time and a la Ferris wheel. That's what I thought Babu Yagu would do, but why does the princess wear that hair? I don't understand. But that's the way it is. In the beginning it was too sad, because it is terribly sorry for the little Yagushka, because of the traitorous girlfriend who lost her grandmother and her home, although, as they say, the cartoon should not be a comedy show. But I was terribly ashamed of Babu Yaga when a literally dying princess appears on her doorstep and asks to save her from mortal danger, and she defiantly slams the door in front of her nose, motivating this by the fact that ' I am a witch' Maybe that’s how they wanted to show her remoteness and love of solitude, but introverts don’t behave like that! For some reason, Kotofei comes to the rescue, but the business witch does not. It was uncomfortable.
The plot was too long. At first it was boring, and then began such a whistling that constantly squandered. Belladonna's motivation is too banal, I think - ' I'll take over the world!' Well, you do, then what? Usually villains act with clearer goals - to obtain immortality, revenge, enrich themselves, establish their kingdom, etc. It is clear that the princess's desire is to save her father, and what is Beladonna's need? We just have to figure it out. There was also confusion about the final.
Why did I leave the review neutral? Because movies don't suck when you look closely. But an amateur. Someone from these shortcomings will not even look, and someone will not care about them, and he will gladly watch the cartoon. It is possible that small children will have a lot of fun (although not all jokes will understand). We need to work on the mistakes!
If that's the animation level in 2023, I don't know what to say.
The cartoon opened by accident, I wanted to see something “fresh” and “our” ... instead of a thousandth revision of Disney.
It's so bad... (the expected sequel to "what's even good" don't expect). It's just very bad. I always rate the film at the top of the perceptual bar, I couldn’t even put a 4. For the idea just 3, for the lack of a good implementation - minus 7.
The animation is reminiscent of Winx 2006, only with less angular characters. Look at the general background of the cartoon, this is the most brutal kringe. It is better not to look at this masterpiece at all. Moving the camera, the disappearance of objects is just magic, nothing else. The cross-eyed king is generally a separate art form (my apolojais, if it was intended, but then it was necessary to explain...).
The plot is not thought out, the narrative is ripped, nonlinear, you literally can not tie anything together while watching.
The characters were drawn in Russia, voiced in the original in Russian, so why do they open their mouths as if they speak another language and do not fall into speech at all? Attention is automatically focused on this, because you clearly know that it is OUR.
The joke with obvious prototypes of characters is a fierce lack of imagination and, probably, a very “exciting” moment to date. Yaga - Brave in heart, Burka goat - Donkey from Shrek, fish in the aquarium (???) on the head of Water - Dori, Cones with some kind of Vibe Minions and so on.
“Ambiguous moments” fall apart because they are spoilers. Just say that it is worth looking at the behavior of the Watery and the King, for example.
I can't even sum up my review. It is strange that the writers listed one of the writers of “The Lion King 2”, right?
And the most typical kringe is the score here. 7.8 out of 10 at the time of writing the review, with allegedly more than 40,000 ratings. I’ll just say that Avatar 2 is exactly the same.
I'm just sorry for our animation. It’s funny that it went to the movies and has already collected more than 200 million rubles.
