Few people do not know about the new project of the TNT channel - the series Chernobyl. Exclusion Zone, such a large-scale advertising campaign was organized around this series, and most importantly, even before the premiere on TNT, everything was already shown in theaters - it seems, a rather unprecedented move. But personally, I have a very mixed and ambiguous impression about everything I saw. Therefore, I want to write from the point of view of “liked or disliked”. I will not retell the plot, I am sure that even with the corner of my eye, seeing an advertisement on TNT, you can understand what is what.
So what did like:
1. The idea. No one will argue that this is the first project of the TNT channel (yes, this judgment applies to all Russian TV), which is filmed on the original idea , not fused from the West and adapted for the Russian viewer. The topic of Chernobyl for a long time will be a semblance and mysterious, and Hollywood made an attempt to make a film about what happened after the tragedy with Pripyat, but the Russian project is clearly closer and sweeter, and not only out of a sense of patriotism.
2. Plot development. This item is controversial, it can be attributed to the “liked” section and the “did not like” section. The beginning is quite frolic, events are developing quite rapidly, and I literally swallowed Series 3. There was no limit to my joy, well, finally they shot an interesting series in which there are mysteries, mysticism, development and purely Russian realities. In general, it reminded me very much of LOST, the first season looked in one breath and everyone was waiting for enchanting plot twists that would explain all the mysteries. But we all know how Lost went. Here with Chernobyl the same - the events of the next series break the first impression. This is in the “Disliked” section.
3. Actors. I think it’s the right decision of the producers to take on the leading roles of young guys, because it’s perfectly normal for our cinema when 30-year-olds play. And no competently created entourage will not make an uncle a boy, and an aunt a young May rose. I really liked Paul, the image itself and its embodiment. Alexey is a colorful character, the actor is familiar to me from a cameo role in the TV series Kitchen. Girls are neutral, inexperience is visible and in places the game did not reach. And most importantly, the appearance of Stychkin, this wonderful actor. His character, Kostenko, who appeared in the second half of the series, literally breaks the plot, this is a kind of mile pole, after which something interesting begins, namely, answers to some questions.
4. The choice of Chernobyl, namely Pripyat, is the centerpiece of the plot. After all, for the Russian people, this is a very close story, tragic, and at the same time mystical, after all, it is a mystery – what can there be after such a release of radiation? You can dream for a long time, well, there is enough space. Another thing is that it is difficult to develop this topic without sliding into complete absurdity.
I don't like :
1. Same plot development. If the first series are dynamic, create a certain kind of intensity and the canvas of the narrative, then it is logical to expect something like this from the subsequent ones. However, the bar was taken very high, and my subjective opinion that the whole series is not built on a single line, the plot jumps, and this is a minus. Plus, “Chernobyl” tried to stuff a bunch of side stories and as a result of genres, and here this mix sometimes just spoils everything. We see all sorts of mysticism, and it is not always related to the main storyline – on the way to Pripyat with the guys a lot of things happens, sometimes it is not mysticism, but only some plots to maintain the genre and heat, so to speak. But from such a series you expect that all the little things will then be weaved together, and here this will not happen. There is also a love line, which again is not fully developed.
2. The presence of mat and frank, undisguised vulgarities. I know TNT isn't TNT if it's doing something moral, but man, why do you have that purely teenage humour about slapping and banging and stuff? The images of teenagers would not be complete without this? I beg you. What is the point of swearing if everyone clamps it on the air? (and we now have a law prohibiting all this). Anyway, it's a minus for me. Although it is not globally annoying, but without it, history would not have lost anything.
3. All the same actors. Well, someone just does not reach, and when Stychkin appears, the contrast will be even stronger. But all ages fit. It's either experience or youth. As you know, everything rarely happens.
4. Phantoms and computer graphics. The presence of “phantoms” – well, I don’t know, yes, adds fantasy, but are they necessary? Maybe the sequel will show something. And this terrible dog with armaturine in the barrel!!! Why is it so computer-generated?? You can see that! As far as I understand, the budjet of the series is not 2 rubles, why stingy? Although the collapse of houses and accidents are removed perfectly, so probably everything is in balance.
5. Final. Oh, I don't even know what to say here. It seems that in the first season at the end a lot is explained, except the inexplicable, but the end is simply enchanting. I don’t want to spoil it, but I don’t want to end up back to USSR. A lot of things are sure, I hope the series will not befall the fate of Lost, where the abundance of mysteries confused the writers themselves at the end. The sense of proportion is priceless, gentlemen directors!

As a result, I can say that the attempt is definitely counted. This is the test ball that launched the TNT channel, and to expect that this series will be perfect in everything is stupid. But they learn from mistakes, and I hope that season 2 (and it probably will) will take into account the flaws of the 1st.
The only thing that inspired me to watch was my love of ghost towns, and my love of Pripyat. Many fans of the game STALKER, with little hope hoped for the birth of some blockbuster about Pripyat, a mysterious zone, brave stalkers. Whether it is domestic or Western production. The series came out. A little surprising, I would dare say. Personally, I did not expect such a turn of events, and, frankly, I despaired in the small hope of the birth of a feature film about Chernobyl. And here it is! The series!
Plot.
In fact, the plot is very interesting and sometimes confusing (what I estimate as high work). It's a special plus to the painting. This is the topic of the time machine today. Very interesting and even funny to watch, which is also a plus. Probably, everyone will remember the person who grew to a tree because of the time travel. In 1986, the tree did not grow there, but in 2014, it already exists. It's funny, isn't it? “Enemy in Time” is also a very interesting story, it is already the end of the first season. In short, I want to talk about the work of writers. Very painstaking and delicate work. Ilya Kulikov created the script at a high level. Every movement, action, detail was carefully calculated. Great work by writers!
The first series.
Oh, that first episode. During the viewing, I was not intrigued, sometimes I did not even like the reference to the film. Stolen money, a trip for a thief to Chernobyl, in a very strange company, a traffic police post, a smoking mixture, truckers, maps - all this did not impress me, and even was initially disappointed in the project. However, after the first series, an interesting start began, conflicts, disagreements, humor and so on began. At the end of the season, though, the first series will be worth it.
Actors.
Young enough. Unknown persons, except that Sergey Romanovich is known as chef Alex from the television series “Kitchen”. It's the first time I've seen the others. In some places I noticed underplay, but I did not consider it necessary to find fault with the little things in the acting. On the whole, it was pretty good. The composition itself, their roles, are selected very interestingly and in conjunction they give an excellent harmonica. Fair leader Pasha, courageous joker Lech, charming Anya, smart Gosha and honest Nastya. This bundle impresses me and gives the film great saturation and excitement.
Conclusion.
In general, the series is assessed as positive. Quite intriguing and interesting, sometimes humorous project. After the first series, I hardly agreed to watch the second series, which is why I stayed from the next series in positive emotions. Elements of thriller, action movie, drama - all this is excessively interesting and harmonious. The original series, the script, although the main direction should be popular for creativity (the disaster at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant), we see that many paintings and not at all. Just documentary. The show is good, I'm looking forward to season two. I hope to raise my opinion after the series.
I recommend watching fans of the game Stalker, as well as fans of thrillers, ghost towns, and just fans of intriguing series.

I read some of the reviews and was amazed by the fact that many of the people who spoke out had this first or one of the first reviews, which in my opinion suggests that the series was so impressive that it was very difficult to keep silent. I didn’t watch the series on TV, but waited for the release of the entire season and watched it in half a day, but all at once. The series reminded me of the not-unknown thundered at the time “Lost”, not in the plot, but in the dynamics and turns of events: a little logical, moderately mystical and sometimes humorous.
We must pay tribute to the leadership of the TNT channel for the fact that there are prerequisites for the development of cinema and TV series in our country. I very much hope that the rating of this series will give a big sobering impetus to other TV channels to create something worthwhile. We were very pleased with the shooting in the dark, very high-quality, and the impression of involvement is something like that. Yes, you can see that the dog is drawn in the graphics, and the blurring of the background on the roofs and the Ferris wheel makes it possible to see the shortcomings, but they are not so ugly spoil everything, it is quite tolerable. Many people talk about the physics of time travel, about the fact that this can not be, about blunders in a time machine and the ensuing consequences. I think the creators of the series will see it all, read the reviews and correct it in the second season, and since there are those who have spoken, why don’t I tell them? There is a question about the ampoule that Pasha and Lyosha find in the forest next to the dead scientist-tree, who did inject it? It feels like an unfinished moment. The area also seemed unsaid. And I also hope that in the sequel there will be a bit of inexplicable mysticism like phantoms.
Characters: All the guys play very well, many consider Anya (Kristina Kazinskaya) unplayed, and I think that is exactly what the writers wanted: weak, a little annoying with her correctness, she pushes Pasha to action, forces him to defend himself and thereby risk not only his life, but also the lives of friends. Evgeny Stychkin was very pleased with the game, it is impossible to break away from him, but in reality the KGB officers were such – tough, strong spirit, real patriots ready to die for their country and kill anyone who encroaches on its sovereignty and quiet life. I would also like to note separately Podcaster, this hero throws from extreme to extreme of his own subconscious, I think it is difficult to play such characters, he seems to be not crazy final, and kind of regularly breaks into the abyss of madness.
The series touches on political themes, but I have the impression that it was filmed this spring, and scenes with the “hunters” from Kharkiv last fall, when there was no conflict like this, but the concepts of “Moskal” and “Khohol” live for quite a long time and there is nothing surprising in including this topic in the series.
The end of the first season is very bold, because now to create the second you need to be very, very careful in the script, so as not to spoil the impression of the audience, as it was done in Lost, and of course you want to complete not crumpled and not stretched for 10 seasons of the series.
In high school, a biology teacher would tell me, "I'll give you five in this quarter, but only against future hopes of a more inquisitive study of biology as a science." So, I put the first season 10 out of 10, but with very high expectations for correcting errors, the thoughtfulness of the script, and that the dynamics of what is happening will remain the same.
I recommend watching the series to everyone.
You can say for the idea 10, for the execution a little less.
The last series came out very crumpled. In my opinion, there is one small logical error. A KGB officer (in his old age) could not plan a trip for the characters to Chernobyl, as the future was changed only after their return from the past. That is, it seems to me that the space-time continuum was not changed before the start of action. In other words, 27 years in a changed format flashed by the moment of return from the past.
Second, the Chernobyl accident and the collapse of the Soviet Union have little connection. Of course, I understand that this is a film, a fairy tale. But since the screenwriters decided to touch on such philosophical, worldview topics, such a remark can be considered appropriate.
It would be interesting to see a world in which the Union of the indestructible republics of the free has survived. Then it would definitely be the Orwellian world.
But closer to the body, as one French writer said. At first it seemed to me that the series is a typical horror movie, horror without any mental stress. This is not difficult to notice by 'live' an area that is extremely unfriendly to a dog with armature in its side, ingrown into a tree by a scientist. The list goes on.
I have to share my impressions right after watching almost the entire first season of the series.
To be honest, I’m not excited about Russian cinema, in particular, about our TV series. However, many modern film products of domestic production begin to surprise and unexpectedly delight. I notice that a lot of our writers / directors / editors / cameramen go through Western ones, but I even like it.
Interestingly, "Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone" is the world's first feature film about Chernobyl. He has been interested since the first series. True, there are a huge number of different minor (and sometimes not so) shortcomings, film blunders, including historical ones, however, the plot is so powerful that I just stopped paying attention to it. To me, that doesn't spoil the big picture.
The action is developing very dynamically, the plot is very “cool” wrapped, in the end even resembles a typical American blockbuster (yes, our series can already compete with Western ones). The picture is very spectacular, the soundtracks are selected quite well, and, indeed, pump up the atmosphere. When watching, I was very worried about the characters: the series keeps in suspense every minute.
As for the acting, it is very mediocre, but acceptable. Actors simply do not need to reveal the characters of their characters, since the main thing in the series is action, and not drama. This is why you can close your eyes.
The special effects are quite decent, despite the small budget of the series. Only a dog failed, but everything else was done very well.
The series is aimed at young people rather than older viewers. There is no great meaning or deep morality here no. This is just a very interesting and exciting sight, in order to have fun at leisure.
Overall, I was very pleased with the series, I am looking forward to the next series, and I hope for a worthy continuation.
I didn’t wait and didn’t want to watch this series, but it’s played nonstop on TNT, especially on weekends. Only stopped showing the wretched "univer" around the clock, as they began to show it.
To begin with, mysticism is mystic, but for teenagers of this age to gather in the lungs and go to Pripyat on their own two – sorry, but this is really unreal mysticism, which is more like bad humor. And in general, all the main characters of this series remind me of slightly unhealthy people. Judge for yourself, in any conflict situation, these heroes are literally ready to fight cops, truckers, border guards and spit that they can be killed in the same place. What's so absurd? And the girls? How brave they are and ready to sacrifice themselves in order to reach the end to achieve the goal. In those moments, I just rolled my eyes and sighed.
The last straw was playing with the political situation in the country. Here you and a Tajik with a goat, here you and the border guard khol gay orientation. Why?! We don't have much negativity on TV?! We have little hatred for our brotherly people. Right, let's make fun of them in a low-grade series, too? Well, these stupid stereotypes about Tajiks and livestock - honestly, it's just boring, it's not funny. The impression was that the film was made by people who thought that after these scenes, the series would literally explode. God will not tear up, but rather vomit, tear out the audience from what is happening on the screen.
The series is full of unsightly, wretched moments, from which vomits, after which you want to turn it off. The only thing that interested me at least somehow and smoothed the negativity a bit is the relationship between Lesha and Nastya. That's it, there's nothing to see. There are no exciting moments, no unexpected turns, only nonsense, mate and dullness.
I am very sad to know that TNT is broadcasting this. Perhaps the channel wants to repeat the success of STS, after the thundering of “Closed School”. At first they tried to repeat this success with the TV series “My Eyes”, which also failed miserably, and now they are trying their luck with this “Chernobyl”. At least the likeness of Priluchny was taken into the series, or little girls have no one to fall in love with.
Those who do not want to tremble their nerves, spoil the mood, I advise just not to include tnt, as there is a marathon of this, well, very mystical series. You won’t get anything but negativity.
One word, “Chernobyl,” makes it creepy. It seems that this town was given this name knowing in advance what would happen. Everything can be described in one sentence - it is clear that the matter is dark.
If we talk about the catastrophe itself, then this event divided world history into: before and after. In the former Soviet republics, this disaster crippled, disfigured and destroyed the lives of tens of thousands of people. She's still bleeding...
In fact, this topic has a lot of fans around the world. Therefore, any film, series or book on this topic will certainly find its audience, which is what happens with the TV series Chernobyl. Exclusion zone”. But, in my opinion, the whole point of this series is that it describes modern human relationships, which under the influence of some circumstances have become simply terribly unbearable. And these relationships, piercing all spheres of our being, make our life some aimless, tasteless, fake, poisoned, doomed. It was as if we were all in this exclusion zone.
Where did the whole intrigue of the series take place? Moscow teenagers Pasha and Lesha thoughtlessly wanted to have fun in an apartment with 8 million rubles. The party was a success, but the money was gone. After a momentary shock, they identified the thief. They turned out to be a strange, but educated and incredibly calculating system administrator from the company of an Internet provider, dreaming of a trip to Pripyat. After failure to solve the problem “hot on the trail”, begin the ordeal of our heroes in the throes of hell. They face deception, hypocrisy, greed, indifference, cruelty wherever they appear. And they are not saints, they themselves radiate data of abomination. They are active participants in the cycle of evil in nature. But their main difference from a mad programmer is that they, each to varying degrees, are still trying to curb their passions.
This series raises a whole layer of problems of modern society: youthful maximalism, drug addiction, hatred of others, the pursuit of profit and even modern Russian-Ukrainian relations. In the film, the city of Pripyat left by people is a kind of background for this “Chernobyl” of human relations. And the fantastic technique associated with the inability to escape from the exclusion zone only sets parallels with the inability to stop this cycle of hatred. And these irregularities can give rise to such disasters as the Chernobyl accident.
The acting game is at an acceptable level. In fact, young people are a community of people with very contrasting characters and views on life, so these images are very difficult to reveal.
Overall, the series was a success. In my opinion, TNT showed a new level of quality of Russian cinema. In this series there are several genres at once: fiction, action movie, horror, which does not prevent it from being a film with a deep meaning.
The series "Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone" on the TNT channel is a completely sudden product for me, which suddenly appeared and unpredictably develops before our eyes. Looking ahead, I will immediately say that he did not slightly exceed my expectations, although not from the very first seconds.
You can talk for a long time about the beginning of the series, about the actors, about computer graphics, discussing the positive and negative points, but I want to immediately turn to the essence: the series “Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone” is a perfect example of the progress that occurs during the season.
The game of the main actors - starting with places uncertain, by the last series becomes damn convincing, which only causes respect and admiration.
Computer graphics - except for the dog, depicted really not very high quality, serious complaints does not cause anything, and everything looks quite realistic and beautiful.
Sound - there was no doubt about the sound from the beginning. This applies to both well-chosen musical accompaniments to various events, and the "brand" soundtrack - it perfectly "falls" into the head and accurately conveys the atmosphere.
And most importantly, the story. The plot with each series only improved, more and more dragging and surprising the viewer, increasingly overgrown with unexpected turns and shocking events, and moving further away from the concept of development that the viewer invented and keeps in his head.
And what is very nice - questions, which seemed impossible to answer, get it. And the puzzles that would seem to remain forgotten are solved, and all this together is so logical, understandable and “compact” that it is of any interest to look at the brainchild of domestic cinema.
Separately, it should be noted the end - it is unexpected, amazing, bold, kindly a little naive, patriotic, sad, and most importantly - it causes an immense desire to see season 2, which, I hope, will give the green light.
Of course, it still requires grinding and polishing, it is necessary to tirelessly develop, take into account all the shortcomings, take all the lessons, but it is already insanely happy that Russian TV series remove the label of “boring and low-quality”, and someday, I am sure, will get rid of it forever.
My assessment of the 1st season of the series “Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion”:
TNT is a dark realm that just drowned in silly comedies and in 'House-2'. Yes, sometimes there are good sitcoms, for example ' Fizruk' but these are isolated cases. And when TNT shows the upcoming series about Chernobyl, you hope that here it is, the very ray of light and ... you are not mistaken!
Plot. The parents of the main character - Pasha - go on vacation abroad and leave a very substantial amount in the safe. To celebrate such an event, Pasha throws a party at home, and in the morning discovers that the money has disappeared. And the thief, instead of laying low, keeps a report in which he says he will go straight to Chernobyl. Therefore, Pasha and his friends sit in the old 'Volga' and go in pursuit of the kidnapper.
The first 2-3 episodes are nothing special: a party and the subsequent rush through the police in search of missing. But if the viewer ' can withstand ' these three episodes, then he is guaranteed a pleasant sensation from watching the series.
What I really liked about the story was the unpredictability. After all, the characters, as always, fall into situations that we have seen a hundred times in other TV series and films, you immediately understand how the characters will act, and when you already want, as they say, to go out, something happens that you absolutely do not expect. Of course, it was not without love lines, but they tried not to dwell on them. So much for the writers!(+)
Characters and actors. At last there were fresh and almost unknown faces! And, since this is the first appearance on screens for some, even on television, they approached their roles with great responsibility. And now with each in order:
Konstantin Davydov (Pasha). He plays a strong and confident young man who, although he shows courage in critical situations, often hides his feelings. Essentially the leader of the group. I have no complaints about this actor.
Kristina Kazinskaya (Anya). A girl with a secret past who goes to Chernobyl for her own reason, her motto - ' Most importantly - human life' so some of the characters lived a little longer. I would also have no complaints about this character, if not for one, rather fat BUT: in any situation she shows almost no feelings, so it is not particularly interesting to watch her.
Sergei Romanovich (Lyosha). This is perhaps the most lively and charismatic character in the series. Lesha is a real bully, he can scoff, likes to joke, even if he is a stone's throw from death. Sergey Romanovich got so used to the role of Lesha that I even thought for a moment ' What if he is like this in life?!'. I think he will go far.
Valeria Dmitriev (Nastya). A slightly brazen girl, Lesha. Whatever happens, he never leaves his boyfriend. Unfortunately, the heroine of Valeria turned out to be something ordinary, there was no highlight in it, which at least kind of distinguished her from the whole group.
Anvar Khalilulayev (Gosha). This is a typical spectacle that sits in a tablet, but his knowledge often helps the team. Anwar's hero is intelligent, well-read, but physically weak and insecure and, not so much a coward, he just prefers to sit somewhere, instead of taking any active actions. Anvar perfectly presented Gosha, he came out just perfect nerd.
Ilya Shcherbinin (Igor). Podcaster, the same thief who goes to the Exclusion Zone. Ilya has a good character who, as he approaches the Zone, goes more and more crazy.
Also on several episodes lit up Evgeny Stychkin, who played his role on five plus, but what role he played, I will not say, because I do not want to disclose his importance in the series.
Special effects and soundtrack. Surprisingly, computer special effects turned out to be very high-quality and realistic, for example, a bloody dog and a collapsing skyscraper, which flashed in the trailer and advertising. (+)
The soundtrack was also a great addition to the atmosphere of the series, and even when almost nothing happens, it makes you tickle your nerves. And a clear example of the correct use of the sound, are the opening credits. (+)
Bottom line: 'Chernobyl: The zone of alienation' - perhaps the standard of how to shoot series, it has a great idea and plot, and characters, and music, and special effects, and if you define by genres, then it fits mysticism, adventure, fiction, road movie, action movie, horror and a little comedy. However, there is one drawback in it: replicas that are either not suitable for the characters, or are painfully predictable. But still, Chernobyl is one of the best domestic TV series of 2014.

- Well, if you stole eight million from me, I'd get you out of the ground. (c)

Oh, this channel TNT, ready to shoot without stopping, you can say, “stamp”, various shows and TV series, just to lure a young audience to their screens. Every second person in our vast country heard and saw the advertisement of a new domestic mystical series on the theme of Chernobyl, but not everyone became its victim. There are too many unnecessarily "interesting" projects on this TV channel recently.
The name is intriguing: Chernobyl. Exclusion zone. Everyone knows about the events of 1986 at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, but not everyone knows the details and causes of the accident. Believe me, you won’t know that in this series. Its plot and the old "Volga" lead the heroes of teenagers (???) to the city of Pripyat, and only in the last series they are in the exclusion zone. Along the way, all sorts of “mystical” things happen to them, most of which in the last series will find a completely logical explanation.
The series looks surprisingly easy, at least the desire to “fast forward” is rare. The budget is modest, it affects almost any detail and, of course, the “special effects”, but we should not expect from domestic cinema at the level of Hollywood, probably never. That’s exactly what this series is about.
The main characters are novice actors, so their “game” is also “green, but with prospects for the future.” Everyone tried and thank you for that.
The story itself, of course, is not perfect. There are inaccuracies, inconsistencies, but still, despite all this, he wants to continue to watch and learn the ending. Yes, the creators still managed to teach the material so that with each series to warm up more and more interest of the viewer. I really wanted to know how all this “devil” will end and whether it will end at all.
The ending caused a sea of emotions, even more questions and even laughter. But still (!!!) waiting for the second season.
After watching the TV series “My Eyes” on TNT, I decided that not everything is so bad in domestic cinema (in terms of TV series) and started watching “Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion”. And... Not that the series is bad, but... Let me start in order:
Plot: Pretty good. A lot of unexpected twists and interesting moments, but the behavior of the characters is not very logical, and in general the logic ends in the last series. As for the plausibility of the situation in the city: I somehow did not pay attention to this until I read the reviews, so I will not judge.
Characters: That's the problem. I don’t want to scold young actors for their performance, and I won’t, because it’s not about them, it’s about the writers who wrote them that way. Solid clichés - a leader, a botanist, a gopnik and two girls whose character is barely noticeable at all. For me, secondary characters are better written. Here is the main villain (although he is not such a villain), he is Evgeny Stychkin not as clumsy as Pasha and company.
Shooting: It’s quite suitable for a series with such a (probably small) budget. The effects are normal. If the plot had been more elaborate, I would not have paid attention to that "dog".
As a result, it turned out to be quite suitable for viewing the series, not much burdened with logic, which can infuriate in places. Looking forward to the second season.

P.S. I hope season 2 doesn’t change the ending of the first season, because it’s the first time I’ve seen such a good ending.
To begin with, this is the first picture of all I saw, which caused an acute desire to write a review about it. And not because it is bad, on the contrary, the series caused a lot of contradictory emotions in me, such as: shock, shock at every minute, joy at certain moments, laughter, fear, feelings for the heroes! Perhaps, I will not name a single film or TV series in which I really worried about the main characters, this series was so insightful for me. Every minute - 'flash'. And when it seemed that I knew what was going to happen, something happened again that I didn’t expect.
A lot of people here scold the actors who were in the lead roles, but for me, all the actors were equally great with their role. Another thing is that the behavior of the main characters in the plot is not always clear, especially the behavior of Ani. This does not mean that the actress did not cope with the task, it means that her character is just a very strange girl, caring about everyone and everyone in business and without, thereby putting all her friends in danger. However, if you think about it, you understand that without Anya as she is, many interesting moments simply would not have happened and the guys would have left Pripyat immediately after they found the money. Half of the picture would simply be gone! The behavior of the other characters was absolutely normal, such young people can be found all over again without exaggeration or understatement, so that each character brought realism to the plot.
There were, of course, a little ridiculous moments in the picture, but as it was written here, you just need to close your eyes! And where did you see the picture without the movie blunders? In any movie or TV series, and even in television programs, no, no, and there is no absurdity. Therefore, in my opinion, this is not a reason to refuse to watch the series and, especially, scold him for it.
I would also like to note that for me this is the first film in this genre, with which the Russian film industry coped, albeit not 100%. They have already released a similar series on TNT - 'My eyes', but I would not say that they were successful, and it looked strained, and, already the series with the fourth, I wanted to watch it just to watch to the end, and not because it was interesting. I don’t think Russians can make good movies. Their limit is endless sitcoms, released at an insane rate and in huge quantities, which are already beginning to eat up. Comedies are stupid, horrors are not terrible, and fiction is meaningless, and in general our few competent and harmonious pictures, although this is purely my personal opinion! But I'm happy with this series. Well done!
Now the series is over, but I look forward to its continuation!

So came to an end promised us TNT 8 series of "Chernobyl". To tell the truth, the series left two impressions. At the same time, you will have to choose: leave these 8 episodes in memory and end there, or watch the series further.
The theme of ghost cities is as popular today as movies from the category of mocumentaries. Especially if it’s done well and tastefully. Poor "Paranormal phenomena" bored fans of the genre "hero-camera-all-no-stop-recording", and after "Silent Hill" is unlikely to show us a worthwhile level of true splendor of abandoned cities. The film “Forbidden Zone” made a weak attempt in this direction, but the lack of a fully worked out idea, American stereotypes about Russians, coupled with a small budget, spoiled the entire impression. But even to a feature film shot on the theme of the ghost city (or, even cooler, Pripyat) comes a slight bias mixed with the question: well, what else did you think up there?
But sitting down in the evening to watch the 1st episode of this work, I never thought that TNT would be able to surprise me with anything. Opposite! The dynamics with which the plot develops, if not impressive, then contributes to the overall positive perception. In general, the creators of the series want to say thank you for one thing, despite the disadvantages that you can find here if you dig. So, thank you is that the idea itself is original, and not slithered from some pop foreign series of the mid-90s, as they did with “Happy Together”, “Closed School” and many others, just so as not to strain the gyrus of the plot.
But back to our sheep. Although the action was slated for eight episodes, it can be seen from the very beginning that the creators cunning, because the action developed too slowly if indeed TNT decided to make an exclusively mini-series. So the characters would have been in Pripyat by the beginning of the second series, and not in the third, and so on. But nevertheless, at the end of those eight episodes, the series leaves almost no understatement, except for a couple of moments. This is definitely a plus.
About the characters. This is a typical group of people: the main character, he is a leader and leader (Pasha), a joker, always mowing under the cool, and sometimes abrupt (Lesha) a couple of girls to scream at the right moments, and give advice to stupid guys (Anya and Nastya) and a whiner and a slut (Gosha), so that the group does not look like Expendables: First Class. There's nothing surprising here. Such patterns are quite common, so it was impossible to wait for something supernatural. Although sometimes the jokes that Lesha says, I repeat, sometimes, turn out to be funny. But all the same, I would not make Lesha of such a kind of “tycho-boy” in the place of the creators. It was too much, and it is a pity that this issue was ignored. On the other hand, when at the beginning of the series, Pasha is driven by a firm confidence, they say Igor (a podcaster that stole the money) should be shot down, at the first mention that “He is a man!” You can’t do that! (this is Ani’s lines), Pasha suddenly becomes kind and caring. No bazaar! We'll leave him food and gas in the tank, so he can leave. He's human, you can't do that! And if it had been once, I wouldn't have focused on it. But when this is repeated from series to series, it becomes well, it is even strange: does Pasha have his opinion, or is trying to please Ana?
It was sorted out. Let’s move on to the better parts of the series. Thank goodness, there's enough. The first is the musical accompaniment. Here, the music written by Andrei Sokolov fits perfectly into the overall atmosphere without disturbing it. All synchronous noises, notes and frequencies - everything is done as the idea requires.
But perhaps the best part is the visuals. Apparently, the supervisors were given full carte blanche for this case, and the budget was allocated accordingly. Because the landscapes of Pripyat of 1986, and Pripyat of the present look beautiful and almost natural. Hollywood blockbusters are far away, but considering that this is a series, moreover, a Russian series, it becomes nice that finally we have come to this. And, frankly, I was surprised that the series received more beautiful special effects than many films that exceed the budget of this series by orders of magnitude. But here, apparently, the principle of economy has developed: unknown actors + small fees = money, to create an atmosphere and visualize a video sequence. Particularly pleased with such “computer tasties” as the destruction of the house and nuclear power plants.
To sum up and then I want to say: surprised. Honestly, it's true. I never expected anything like that from Russian movies, let alone TV shows. And “Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion” compares favorably against the background of the mass of gray and uninteresting works of both the TNT channel and Russian cinema in general. The only problem that the creators will have to solve now is whether to continue the series. I understand that the thirst for profit, popularization and high audience ratings will certainly do their job, but at the same time Chernobyl risks losing its zest, turning into a multi-season thrash. After all, the ending very clearly hints at the fact that 8 episodes are far from the end.
Think for yourself, decide for yourself whether to look or not to look.

Once upon a time I learned that TNT was going to release a series about Chernobyl. There was even some trailer that was a minute long, and scenes from the set. I wasn’t particularly interested in him, but I did wait and now that I’ve watched the whole season, I’m ready to give my opinion.
Plot:
After entering friends, the main character loses 8 million from the safe. The thief goes to Chernobyl and records podcasts in which he tells what he is going to do with this money. What nonsense? How is that possible? I thought at first. Believe me, everything in the series is completely unpredictable and each series is just a puzzle – it is collected little by little and in the end we have a bomb.
Actors:
Many people scold guys for bad acting. But my opinion is divided: There were times when I didn’t believe the characters, but overall it was okay. Besides, the guys are young, they won't learn that yet.
Pasha is a serious guy. Sometimes he's too right. In general, he fulfilled his role 100%. I believe, Pasha, I believe.
Lyosha is a "clear" kid. There's someone I can't praise. I saw him play a part in the TV series Kitchen. I did great here and there. Sometimes I just wanted to get into it.
Gosha - Smart fight. A cowardly boy who wants to be in the subject with the guys, but because of the frequent hamstrings of Lesha, he does not succeed. Gosha in the first and final series are two different characters. Just know that.
Nastya - the second more or less reasonable after Pasha. I don’t know what it is, but it’s a character. As an actress, she's superb. Always do not mind to make fun of Gosha, but nevertheless, the roof of her, like Leoshe, does not tear.
Anya is a girl without character. If this is the idea of the writers - then she coped with a hurrah, and if not, then unfortunately, the weakest of the guys. Pasha's love object. They look alike. .
Special effects:
You know, the biggest failure of this great series is the dog. It turned out completely unreal and when it appeared on the screen only caused laughter. Everything else — house demolition, displacement, etc. — is just fine. Very atmospheric. With each episode, the series got me more and more hooked. The atmosphere of Pripyat is perfectly conveyed. Music and genre change each series added even more epic to the series, special effects and beautiful actors achieved everything to 100 points. The ending was so cool I still haven't left. The emotions are overwhelming.
A series mystery about the irreparable. A series that, by chance, I started watching.
SOURCE
It is quite unusual, although the description may seem silly. Five friends go to Chernobyl for a robber who stole 8 million rubles from the main character. There are many trials on their way. In the beginning, it all looked pretty ridiculous, and in particular ' podcaster' video. Indeed, ' podcaster' seemed, to put it mildly, weak-minded. but... everything is as unexpected as it is impossible to imagine. Really impossible! Let’s face it, most movies, especially TV shows, are very predictable. You won't see that here. With every minute of watching the intrigue, more and more. And it's fascinating. I was not bored at any time.
Actor's Game
Oh, I doubted her very much. However, after watching the series to the end, I cannot blame any actor for the implausibility of matching the character. Everything, both externally and behaviorally, corresponds to the image of the heroes.
Considering that many of the artists are almost debutants, they can only be congratulated. And it’s great that young talents were able to reveal themselves in such a worthy picture. That's good.
Other
The series as a whole I would characterize as mystical and fanatic, of course. However, this is so moderate that there is nowhere to even exclaim 'Brad!'. It wasn't cheap special effects. On the contrary, there is a sense of quality cinema. Which is not a shame to show the world, and not only Russia.
The humor is sometimes vulgar and black. I hate these genres, but the creators somehow managed to do it in an incredible way. There is a place to laugh.
This series has a moral. For each, I think, his own. It will make you think and think. A lot of things.
And once again we were reminded that what was created by human hands can be more terrible and dangerous than it seems.
But most importantly, I think we should all remember the victims of that terrible tragedy. Remember those who did everything to reduce the scale of what happened. And the city of Pripyat, which is almost wiped off the face of the Earth. And a lonely Chernobyl. They're almost extinct. They're alienated. But they're alive.
And you know, I really felt the longing and loneliness of the Exclusion Zone and the Ghost City. Unique and very subtle psychologically.
Honestly, immediately, even in the advertising of this series completely killed & #39; the dog, completely unnatural, caused only laughter (and a little shame), so I decided to watch the first series only in order to once again see the worthlessness of modern Russian cinema. But it wasn't. With the first series of the series delayed, each next series was waiting impatiently.
The guys played well (except for Ani), especially pleased with the game hero Lesha, it was interesting to watch him. I do not understand the criticism of these actors, people, you have never seen bad actors. I do not argue, it was sometimes a little ashamed of what the characters say, but it is not the fault of the guys, and screenwriters with limited vocabulary. The music is very well selected, the special effects are normal (except for the dog), the plot is twisted famously, sometimes you really need to build a whole logical chain in your head to understand the next plot. There were some good jokes, all at the box office, not vulgar or stupid. In general, respect to everyone who worked on this film, we will wait for the second season. Only transitions from one situation to another need to be more carefully prescribed, or somehow it looked very stupid, when the guys every time because of the squeaks of a strange girl Ani: ' well, there are people ... well, you need to help ... well, boys ' went to absolutely creepy places to save someone there. This is the only problem, so
While still fresh emotions from watching the final series of the debut season, I sit down to write this enthusiastic review about the television production of Russian cinema. It’s a shocking event in itself, isn’t it?
For me, the Chernobyl nuclear disaster is just a storehouse of ideas for science fiction and filmmakers, which thoroughly decided to get to not so long ago. First, the series of games “S.T.A.L.K.E.R.” (which for some reason has not yet been filmed), followed by the average horror “Forbidden Zone”, then a very tough mini-series “Moths” (rather, an animated documentary). And now it is time for a thorough consideration of the theme of the disaster in the TNT series Chernobyl. The Exclusion Zone.
Honestly, I was expecting a scary horror like The Walking Dead with blood and murder in each episode, but in the end, the series went down a different path, being a much more intriguing project. For eight episodes, the plot resembled a walk through a maze - behind each next turn there was something that turned all previous events upside down. Initially, many puzzles, many unanswered questions. Desperation, hatred, the desire to survive, fear, friendship, love – everything was intertwined in one ball, which, rolling further and further, became more and more entangled.
Not surprisingly, the series suddenly gained such popularity – this is exactly what many Russians expected (from very young teenagers to already mature viewers). Fiction, mysticism, detective, horror, action movie, thriller - a mix called "The Exclusion Zone" is a high-quality and interesting story with a big mystery and a bunch of small mysteries that you need and want to solve. There are dangers to be saved from. There are tasks to be accomplished. And everything happens in our Russian reality with guys who are so easy to recognize themselves (present, past or future). The project is the most, that is, Russian. And high-quality Russian projects are not so much to have the right to ignore them.
Of course, it was not without plot flaws and some technical jambs, but you begin to think about them only the next day after watching. This action looks exciting and easy. Visually, the picture is good, both from the side of filming and pictures, and from the side of special effects - what is the crumbling building in one of the series (unless the zombie dog came out very computer, but here you need significant funds to make such a complex animatronic realistic, so goodbye).
The cast is successful, and this is another factor in the success of the series. Young and promising actors played their roles well, expressing the full color of Russian youth in five characters. It was not without some cliche, but in this case it is more to blame the laws of the genre than the creators. None of them leaves indifferent, everyone fell well to the court. Very useful came the format of the series to reveal the characters of the characters, each has its own story, fears, goals and desires.
When watching, the feeling of the influence of the universe of Silent Hill and Hollywood, in general, on what is happening does not leave, but there is definitely no escape from this - who sets the bar, everyone is equal. The general plot has been worked out perfectly - the disclosure of the main intrigues and mysteries in the last series takes the brain with its unpredictability, and the ending (as it turned out, only the first season) is completely shocking. There are no words left, only emotions.
I'm looking forward to season two. But at the same time, I hope that on the wave of success, TNT will not try to repeat the same mistake as with other successful projects of the channel - it will not stretch a good idea for an unrealistic number of seasons. In the meantime, let’s spend some time waiting.
P.S. The slogan was to read: “Nothing will be the same anymore.”
I as a big lover of the subject of ghost towns, and similar mysticism, I immediately interested in this series as soon as I saw the first commercial, honestly at first thought that the slut will come out something really worth seeing the first series, all doubts in its quality divorced and with each series he clinged even more. And I think that's the best thing about Pripyat right now. It is definitely better than the movie The Forbidden Zone.
I noticed that many scold him for acting actors, but as for me, the guys tried and coped perfectly, there were certainly weak moments, but for young actors this is trifles, and who scolds the series for this probably did not see a really bad performance of the actors.
The script is interesting and exciting from the first minutes, after watching immediately want to watch the next series. The ending was quite unusual and interesting.
Special effects are far without them in our time and they are made very well here, except that the dog she does not look real at all, but this is a trifle that you especially do not want to pay attention to. Separately, I want to say about the shots of Pripyat they are simply beautiful this is the best ghost city that I saw in the cinema, both outside and inside the atmosphere of the dead city is conveyed wonderfully.

Fans of 'S. T.A.L.K.E.R. and fans of mystical themes
The TNT channel is considered the most interesting channel (at least for me), because there is always something to see not only on weekdays, but also on weekends, when you are completely free from housework and work in principle. No matter what anyone says, TNT in terms of the number of interesting programs collected for different genres, films and TV series is in the first place among television channels and is in no way inferior to the same First Channel and the Rossiya-2 channel.
Not so long ago there was an idea to make small series like those movies that we love. The first two creations I saw were a two-part movie called 'Paragraph 78' and a series called 'Survive After..' which were in the spirit of Paul Anderson's Resident Evil. Honestly, the first I did not like because of the practical lack of horror scenes and mystical component, and the Cinema Search ratings were very few, but the second - I was pleasantly surprised and, in some ways, pleased because of the extraordinary approach and creativity, despite the fact that there was something to criticize and indignate.
And after a long time after the saga "Survive after..." on the subject of zombies, a series on the theme of mysticism and survival-horror - Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone, dedicated to the Chernobyl accident. I will write a review not only based on viewing all episodes of season 1 but also based on the game 'S'. T.A.L.K.E.R.', the atmosphere of which was saturated with the series.
As a fan of the Stalker trilogy, it was interesting to see how the atmosphere of Chernobyl will be recreated, what the plot will be, etc., since the genre of survival horror itself is a rather complex genre: one must emphasize mystery, mysticism, not forgetting about the main characters and their characters and features, the sequence of the plot and the logic of the chain of events. So, in my opinion, the authors succeeded.
Despite the fact that special effects were not so rich for a series of this caliber, in general they were pleasant and qualitatively looked on the screen, and knowing what special effects in the stalker trilogy, we can assume why some wrote negative reviews - firstly, because of poor special effects, and secondly, because of the delusional nature of the plot.
Let’s be honest – this series and did not pretend to the adaptation of the original game, especially as far as I know, the film adaptation never came out on the big screens, and then on large-scale special effects (at least close to the special effects in the game) would not have enough money or there would be a danger of even greater criticism than there is now – “like, inserted such special effects, zombies, etc. – and the plot scored”. And it turned out on the principle of “less tweaks and special effects – more meaning and more interesting plot” – and this, in my opinion, is the most successful and optimal option. After all, this is not a movie after all, but a series - and these are slightly different things both in terms of budget and scale of shooting (although I do not know how much the real budget was made - but I assume that it is not so huge).
I also disagree with the opinion about the delusional nature of the plot, since it is mainly a youth film and moreover with a free interpretation - because it is not based on real events, due to the fact that the events are fantastic in nature, which is in the game, and the real Pripyat and Chernobyl disaster has no direct relation. And that's what they have in common -- the so-called dystopia -- is what's in the books of the same name that are based on the game. And do not judge too harshly - the purpose of the series is not to tell about those very events on April 26, 1986 and fully reproduce them with maximum accuracy and authenticity, but to entertain and immerse the viewer with mysticism by flirting with reality.
As for the plot component, I was pleasantly pleased with the abundance of riddles, mysticism and intricacies of the plot as in the game itself, which only further increase interest in viewing and keep the intrigue until the very end. There is everything - and love, and experiences, and adventure, and action movie, and thriller - everyone will find something of their own and will be satisfied from watching. A huge plus in the direction of the authors of the series is that they released the serial version on television, and not as a separate feature film, because it would require serious costs for special effects, for marketing - in general, for the above reasons, I repeat.
I can not appreciate the acting of actors poorly, because young people played, and I do not remember any of them from playing in famous films either in leading roles or in secondary roles, and I do not like to strictly judge people who are just beginning their acting career. If in their place were more senior known colleagues, it would be a completely different question, and in this case was played well and each of the characters was transmitted convincingly.
It ended with season 2, and I really hope that next season will not disappoint and give us even more mysticism, mysteries in the spirit of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anyway, I was not disappointed.
After watching the first four episodes, I was ready to quit. Not that I was not hooked, I was uncomfortable. The genre of the thriller series did not justify at all, the plot is template, and why stretch their way to the Zone so many damn episodes? At the beginning of the series did not live up to the expectations assigned to him.
But after that I decided to look further and was not wrong. "Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion" began to gain momentum. The story began to develop, although the characters did not stop annoying me. The only less adequate character is Gosha, who is smacked throughout the series. The rest of the characters turned out to be somewhat blonde, no matter how rude it sounds. Grass, promiscuous sex and jokes about him, attempts to humiliate a person by indicating his allegedly non-traditional orientation.
In general, the series is not bad, but, in my humble opinion, you can watch it immediately from the fourth or fifth series, so as not to witness useless scenes. For the first Russian series, whose idea is not stolen from the West, even good.
The baton of experimental series on the TNT channel is being adopted by a new advertised and ultra-modern domestic series called Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone. The domestic film conveyor is now in a collapsed state and therefore it is so necessary to support it, and most importantly to direct it in the right direction, in which he so desperately does not want to join.
The main theme of the series is Chernobyl and the buried city under the mist of radiation Pripyat. Five friends, being robbed by one rather strange character - an IT specialist for eight million rubles, rent an old Volga from Goshi (one of the five "friends") with their whole unfriendly company and go on it after a thief who was distraught from such wealth, who planned a trip to Pripyat. Heroes, by the way, all lined up as the selection of the character of one whip is better than the character of another, and it is impossible to call them all bosom friends, except for two Pasha and Lesha, who from the very beginning are positioned as best friends. Gosha is the same IT specialist, only of a different kind, kind or subclass, having some debt to Alexei and standing in his position as a free prostitute, whom everyone can treat as they want and whenever they want. Nastya is a girl with a very specific and antagonistic character, will respond to an incomprehensible cry in the Pripyat radioactive forest, but she will not refuse to have Gosha, pursues her goals, which are also of a dubious nature. Anya is a girl Lesha, a feminist is able to fight back and will be able to stand up for herself. Pavel is a slightly lanky, but in general a very good and strong-willed leader who can kill the whole team in two counts. Alexey is the epicenter of disasters and adventures, will never stand aside even the case that does not concern him, without much effort can rob a sick person, curving a degenerative smile on his face, and everything, as if at the click of his fingers, he gets away with it. With the heroes everything is clear, a bunch of survivors of the mind scumbags, clutched by the clutches of complexes.
What is the root of the disease of Russian cinema? Too much time is devoted to the commercial side of the project, and creativity is only during a smoking break? Maybe it's about actors who play so ridiculous that it seems like the kids at the children's matinee would do better? Or maybe all the fault of immorality positioned by Russian black humor, reflecting the peculiarities of the national...? Probably all at once. The domestic Konomprom stinks with a big stench, at his last breath he tries to put his rotten hand into the pocket of a Russian TV viewer, covering his eyes with his second hand. Injections of animating mat and outright porn do not save cadaver rot. It's time to hammer nails into the fresh boards of an oak coffin and bury this ugliness deep underground. I believe that there will come a real, clean, beautiful and truthful art that will not allow itself to tasteless vulgarity, but will give a sip to the brain of a Russian TV viewer of sobering brine.

“It is better to have a gun and not need it than to need it and not have it.”
I noticed that this site is read by the actors of the series, and it may be important for them to know the reviews of the audience. So I decided to write a personal review of the series.
I was intrigued by the commercial. Yes, marketers are not in vain chewing their bread - did the right thing, were able to attract attention to the premiere. If it weren’t for such interesting trailers, I probably wouldn’t have included the series ever.
Honestly, I am very skeptical even now about this series (until the last episode of the season is shown). I recall the series, which was also shown on TNT, titled 'In My Eyes'. He did not win his heart and, moreover, generally turned away from the genre of mysticism in Russian TV series with complete nonsense. So after watching the first episode of Chernobyl, I told my friends, 'Yes, it's a cool movie so far. But I don't know what will happen next & #39. And I still say that, limiting myself to the last series.
I must say that the series really causes interest when viewing its intrigues and unexpected turns.
I want to talk specifically about the characters.
Pasha is a very polite and calm guy. I didn’t find my education on the street. Some kind of sedative for his company, but where it leads everyone is unclear, so it is difficult to call him a leader. You could add a team tone to him, more charisma, some trait that wouldn't make him just a sweet guy.
Lyosha is a charismatic. A drunken scoundrel, at the same time, oddly enough, knows how to be friends, although he sometimes gives out such tricks that she herself wants to all he wants on the first day. I think the movie's slogan, "Nobody's coming back the same," is primarily aimed at him. The actor himself plays great. I've heard of his roles. I think he has a good professional future.
Gosha is an ordinary smart botanist, which in modern cities is a pond. At first, I thought he would betray leadership skills, which would surprise everyone. But no - coward, silent, nerd - everything is simple and clear.
Nastya - a girl with character. This is exactly what Leoshe needs, who will tolerate twists and at the same time be able to restrain him when necessary. The actress plays great. In second place after Sergei Romanovich (Lyosha).
Anya - nothing to say. Whether the actress is bad, or no role. No character, no interest is noticed in it. I would take on this role another girl, Kristina Kazinskaya (Anya) is a very quiet and even slow girl.
As for the special effects, I would say that it was really interesting to watch them. You can see they were trying to make candy. We only missed the dog, which was disappointing. She doesn't seem real at all. . Now technology can make a child a child, and the dog managed to make some kind of toy graphics, unfortunately. I advise you to work on it if it still figures.
Summarize that the film still liked its originality in the selection of actors, plot and graphics. I hope it doesn’t go downhill as it does with many Russian TV shows. More twist, more unexpected turns, more intrigue, and do not forget kindness. As one writer put it: 'There must be a man in a book who acts humanly'. Don't lose him.
I liked it from the very beginning, although I do not watch TNT, especially TV series (but recently Russian TV series are making a breakthrough, both in acting and in dynamics, and even thank God in the application of special effects).
I read with my teenage children the series S.T.A.L.K.E.R., respect these games even though I do not play, and watching the episodes from this series made me return to the topic of the Chernobyl tragedy and review many documentaries on this topic.
I did not expect the main characters to be aware of the need to use protective equipment, as well as a detailed reconstruction of the KP points on the border of the Zone, etc. As well as their reasonable and balanced behavior in the conditions of the Zone, the ever-changing reality, the dangers that arise every minute and mysterious and simply frightening events. In principle, none of them walked along Pripyat with bare legs.
To be honest, put me in this situation, who knows what the first thought would be - to run to the Zone for a thief, or pick up special equipment and waste precious time?
The main characters are good, play great, Anya seems slightly weak, inhibited by some (or this image is such), and all the others are just shine.
Normal guys are not afraid of shit, save each other, and even put their lives in danger because of the one who stole them and actually dragged them. Respect. Looking forward to more.
And when my children grow up, I will definitely go to Pripyat, walk around the city, touch the terrible, tragic, but our history, breathe this air. Thanks for the show.
When I watched the first episode of this series, I realized that the series would not inspire me. What is the reason?
The plot: in one word, nonsense. Five young people are chasing a thief, who stole a considerable amount from the heroes, goes to Pripyat. For lovers of mysticism will always be interesting to look at Pripyat, even with computer graphics, but with such a plot it will be exactly a comedy with a “bad beginning and clearly with a bad end.”
The special effects are exciting based on the trailer. In the series, they will look like a highlight against the background of a banal misunderstanding.
Actors. Young actors with one minus - there are mats in the series And this means that if there are any in the film or series, do not expect anything good, otherwise it will be a black comedy or you just do not want to watch it, despite the plot.
Mysticism. Pripyat in this series will remind you something Silent Hill, but without the ashes. Time travel, alternate reality, monsters, etc. All this is in the series, done well, but they look ridiculous because of the plot.
Summing up, I can say that this series sums up only the plot, mats and the actors’ play, everything else is on top. Who loves youth mystical series with an incomprehensible plot, then this series will give you pleasure.

The illegitimate son of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. from Silent Hill, nurtured by Our Rasha and striving to be like Lost... What a lovely child.
Of course, it is wrong to review when less than half of the season is over, but since the people have already started, I will join you.
There was such a time in the early zeros when the black has already gone out of fashion, and the copypaste of Western series has not yet entered there. The period was short, but marked by a couple of bright works, which are now remembered 3.5 anonymous. NLS Agency, Secret Sign... Yes, they were filmed for kickbacks from the saw, yes, they suffered from general dampness, but they had humor, a normal script and even in places a decent acting. And here I remember, after watching Chernobyl.
First of all, the plot... Some scolded him for his raving and playfulness - let me disagree. It's just a law of the genre - youth films are always (or almost always) based on the fact that the characters are looking for adventures on their own and "go from Moscow to St. Petersburg through Beijing." Actually, we see this in the example of Pasha. As Ice Cube said in 21 Jump Street, “They’re kids... and they’re all dumb as a log!” Yeah, it's stupid, but without it, there wouldn't be a goat. Here we also include all not docking with the real Pripyat. The genre is defined as mysticism and allows for some flirting with reality. It is not yet known if this is Chernobyl. Silent Hill (his true face) had a very weak connection with the city of the same name.
Characters and actors.
I would venture to assume that the writer was looking at tv tropes, an encyclopedia of artistic techniques and types. Anyway, GG is a living embodiment of the Five-Man Band trail. Now to the points.
Pasha (Leader). Pretty gray character, for nothing that the main engine of the plot. The function is to splash charisma, set direction and maintain the appearance of order in the team. It is difficult to say anything about the actor, because there is simply nothing to reveal in the hero.
Lesha (Big Guy) A generator of negativity, loulses and problems, a team jerk and just a jerk. Despite numerous cases of stupid and beastly behavior, he has not yet reached the bottom and even tries to surface sometimes. The actor ... either you should not meet him in the dark corner (if he plays himself), or he is very talented - the gopar turned out organically and reliably.
Gosha (Smart guy). A classic nerd and a mama's son, which he honestly admits. Weak in an extreme situation, but sometimes it can. Again, if the actor does not behave as usual, namely plays - he plays well.
Nastya (Lenser). Essentially the second person on the team, the advisor and the voice of reason. Don’t let Leshe slide into full g... sometimes gives good initiatives, is critical of his appearance (hmm... maybe even too critical).
Anya (The chick). Dame-in-danger, maiden-with-dark past. In principle, there is nothing to say the same, neither about the actress nor about the heroine. Well, no wonder she's Pasha's love interest. The main characters increasingly fade into the background, while the main plot load falls secondary.
The technical part is quite decent. The music cuts through, the episode with phantoms came out extremely cryptical, the operator and editor can be seen that not from the branch was removed. Special thanks for the realism of the heroes - yes, they smoke, vulgarize, swear, ... behave like ordinary teenagers, raised not in a greenhouse, but in real life.
So far ...
Yes, the plot is predictable, slightly leaky, the characters are not the most interesting, but the reality is that most teenagers are exactly that, so they look and behave quite naturally.
As for the acting game - the Oscar does not pull, but it is not even bad, I believe.
I am also pleased with the absence of love lines and polygons tied to a second, purely accidental hand contact and other serial techniques, without which no project can do.
Entourage is good, music in the theme, sometimes even goosebumps run, although I am not impressionable and it is difficult to frighten me.
Even before the beginning of the series, expectations were biased, I was going to watch a couple of episodes, purely in order to once again make sure of the crookedness and incompetence of our actors and filmmakers, and then I was not sure that I would completely overcome at least one of them, besides, as many compatriots did not try to remove mysticism, nothing good came out of these attempts. And, by the way, let’s not forget that this is still a domestic series, not a documentary, and therefore the presence of deep meaning, authenticity and wildly cool, exciting plot should not be counted initially. I am glad that this is not another remake of a pop foreign series, none of which makes sense to compare it at all, because none of our series will hold up for a long time. In the actions of the heroes there is logic, quite adequate behavior corresponding to their gender, age, images and relationships between them.
At the moment, this series is definitely the best of all those that have been spinning in the last five years on tnt and in general on Russian TV, a ray of light in the darkness of insanity, wretched special effects, pink snot in an empty place, moronic dialogue and cheap clowning with a claim to high-quality, modern humor.
That is why he deserves his attention and his existence.

I watched four episodes. I want to talk about the series.
I love mysticism in any of its representations, especially films, unfortunately, Russian cinema is not rich in high-quality mystical films. But this series is noticeably better and more interesting than anything I have seen about Pripyat and Chernobyl in the last few years. There was no such thing as that.
Let someone say that the plot is simplified, the reactor is shown without the very sarcophagus on the construction of which have been working for several years, radiation meters do not crack with a nightingale, there are no high-security suits (by the way, there is almost no radiation in Pripyat), the city is empty there are no military, security, posts. That's right! But is that the main thing in this series? When watching this movie, I don’t need the hard reality of the real Chernobyl, it’s already full of YouTube podcasters. I, as a simple spectator, need a plot, a mystery of the Mystery with a capital letter! interesting heroes who did not mock the eyes. And most importantly, something new that has not yet been shown. And all this in the series is, and everything that was presented to us was done with quality and soul.
Yes, there are drawbacks in the film, the dialogue is simple, (for example, after the accident of one of the cars, the characters conduct such a dialogue. Why? - Well, there could have been people! Sometimes the plot tends to run ahead rushes the viewer, sometimes slightly sags. The main thing is an interesting script worthy of a book, young fresh actors, a beautiful picture. All this is in abundance.
TNT still jumped over his head and I really hope that the second season will be...

Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion. Thank you for not being another TV comedy on TNT!
Where should I start my story about this series? I’ll probably start with the ads that were on almost all the famous sites. It just so happened that I fell for it; I fell for it not because I was very impressed with the advertising of the promoted series, but because this series was unexpectedly not the usual comedy ala “Real boys” or “Interns”. Although I have nothing against the previously mentioned series, but such a show is just tired. After seeing the advertisement for Chernobyl: Zone of Exclusion, I thought: did the figures of the TNT channel decide to master new genres for themselves? It's unbelievable! Well, after watching a few episodes, I can say the following: a good attempt to abandon the ubiquitous comedies, but no more. And it seems that the idea is not a bad one: to shove teenagers into Chernobyl, and then let them run to the glory of the audience as if tense will turn out. And, it would seem, there is an “intrigue” but it does not cause interest, there is even an atmosphere. And when you look at this creation, you know, it could have happened.
But no.
First of all, the actors are to blame! Some people just hate their words and actions. It is infuriating, there is no other word. The images of the characters are cliched to the bottom: a botanist, a bully, a right guy and a couple of absolutely empty girls. All right, let the clichéd characters at least play them believably. But no! None of the actors know how to play. Nobody! Have you ever heard of acting classes? I don't talk about logic, if you start asking questions, you realize that the script was written by someone who doesn't care about logic at all. Here, for example, is a great question: “Where the hell did the numerous checkpoints in the exclusion zone go?” Forget it, no answer! So it is better when watching, do not ask yourself what is happening in the picture. Here you just need a certain viewer who knows how to turn off the brain where he is shown obvious holes in what is happening. And of course, in addition to everything, a very strong parody of “American”. All the characters do, one way or another, what the American Pie characters did. Take at least a party in the first series. The whole scene looked completely unnatural, completely artificial behavior of all the characters. Don't believe, don't believe, don't believe! In some places from the game of actors to the throat begins to roll nausea.
But!
However, the series has advantages, although not many of them. The first plus is dynamics. Actions change quickly enough, and if, as I said, you can close your eyes and turn off your brain when you see stupid things, then this series can be fun. I probably would have passed the show after the first episode if I didn’t like road adventure movies. A similar motif: “Teenagers get in the car and drive to the horizon, where they are in danger” personally attracts me. There is a certain atmosphere of adventure in this series: dangerous and promising. True, spoiled by "pseudo-actors." I would also like to mention the special effects. I was amazed to read the comments of some people shouting: “You saw this computer dog that’s the father!” Come to think of it, this is not HBO, but our TNT, what did you expect? In addition to the dog in one of the series there is a good visual destruction of the skyscraper and a couple of cheap accidents. Is that good or bad? I think it's better than nothing, especially for a domestic series.
Result.
If the characters behaved naturally and didn't try to portray the behavior of American teenagers, maybe people who shout that this bad series would be less. And those who paid attention to it, to see more. But we have. If you are ready to deal with the plot holes and slipping nonsense, then you can watch. Just don't ask questions.
The main advantage of this series is that it is not another TV comedy from TNT. And this is a good step away from boring repertoire. Suddenly in the future, domestic creators of series will delight us with original ideas and a bold approach. I really hope so. Dreaming isn't bad. Judging by this series, there are opportunities in technical terms, at least, a certain atmosphere to create learned. It remains to wish the creators of normal screenwriters and actors.
I was skeptical of this series from the very beginning, because the channel and the Chernobyl theme for me in several different planes. However, I can say that, in principle, the series is still watchable (though not a masterpiece).
Plot
After reading a number of books from the Stalker series, the plot of this series seems somewhat weak, but still not so bad as to turn off TV altogether. The characters of the series are ordinary teenagers. Yes, they drink, smoke, swear, but lately most teenagers really behave more or less the same way.
The plot twists are, in principle, thought out. Sometimes there is some illogicality in actions, but not to the point of idiocy.
Acting game
Very and very good for the series, not “wow”, but here would rather be surprised by the ideal play of young serial actors, and so in principle quite acceptable.
Special effects
You can see it from 2 sides. One is chases, murders, a crumbling house (impressive, spectacular all the same), the second is computer graphics (weak, very noticeable, especially when the “dog” is in the frame).
In general, a good average passing series. For the first 4 series, the score 6 out of 10. Honestly, better than I hoped.
Z. I. Was one of the few lucky people who did not see the advertising and learned about the premiere in just a couple of days, perhaps so it turned out better, not worse than expected.
All the minuses of the actors’ game, weak plot, inflated why the PR company is incomprehensible, blunders are mentioned without me - this is, although offensive, but extremely predictable.
But what I couldn’t pass by in silence is the sheer nonsense about radiation. Waited for the premiere, in fact, only for the sake of mentioning the ghost town, there was hope that the problem would be adequately illuminated and refreshed in the memory of the population (well, suddenly).
What's the result? The children came to the city without dosimeters, without proper equipment, they were not braked at any checkpoint (and there are three, as I remember), there is supposedly no one in the city, although there are always workers serving the reactor, and the ordinary population began to return long ago, they neglect any measures of adequate security: they walk on the grass, climb on the observation wheel, enter houses, climb on the roof. Children are not afraid of anything, in an ordinary city on a school excursion came.
Not to mention all the blunders, but! If they wanted to create an atmosphere of the exclusion zone, it did not work. You can't shoot post-disaster, don't take it!
