Let me start with another stone in the garden of our localizers, for some unknown reasons 'Ride Along 2' turned into ' Mission to Miami' and not in ' Joint trip 2' by analogy with the first part With what purpose it was done, or our distributors did not understand that they are working, in fact, on a direct sequel to another film, or thought that Miami in the title will attract more people, but the fact remains. Now let’s move on to the movie.
There’s really nothing to say here, to be honest. It’s basically the same movie as the first one, which works by the same rules. Yes, everything became a little more ambitious, ' Mission to Miami' gained momentum in terms of action, but still fundamentally nothing has changed.
What is sad is the conflict between the characters Cube and Hart, directly migrated from the first part. At the end of the previous film, the problem of the relationship between the characters has already closed, at least it was close to this, but no. Despite the fact that Ben has already become a full-fledged police officer, James treats him the same way. Their images, as well as the chemistry of the relationship between the characters, remained unchanged, there is no development of characters, and this is sad.
But a couple of interesting actors were added to the cast - the beautiful Olivia Mann as Maya acted as a companion for the heroes, helping them in a new investigation, and Ken Zhong, known to most in the series '.
In general 'Miami Mission' like the first film, it is absolutely optional. This is an easy movie, where you can spend a pleasant evening and cheer yourself up, but nothing more.
Immediately I want to say that the prequel “Joint trip” in 2014, to see somehow did not happen, because in this review, there will be no comparisons with the first part. The title, cast and poster already speak for themselves - a comedy-entertainment film. But judging by recent years, the American comedy is discord. Is the film good in its genre? That's in order.
The storyline is as simple as possible. Each new turn of events the viewer guesses from half a word. Therefore, when viewing - do not include the head. At the forefront of the story about detective James and his five-minute relative, a graduate of the police academy Ben, who desperately wants to solve cases and become a real cop. They get a joint case for which they go to Miami, where the main events begin. They interpret the characters of Ice Cube, whose performance I can not particularly appreciate, because from film to film he plays the same thing, as well as comedian Kevin Hart, who, in fact, also did not go far from his partner. He appears in the usual role and is responsible for a large share of humor in the film. Not to say it's all funny, but some moments are really funny.
In addition, the film is packed with action scenes in the style of a cool action movie, which fit well into the general atmosphere of the storyline and somehow dilutes simply uninteresting and predictable moments.
Actually, it is simply impossible to write about this film, since the film does not carry any special meaning, message, ideas, so I recommend watching for those who just want to relax in front of the screen without straining their heads, as well as fans of films of this genre. “Mission to Miami” is an entertaining semi-action, semi-comedy, from the category of “one-time” films, but at the same time, with a good picture and action scenes.

The first part of "Joint Trip" was quite a decent police comedy in the now degraded genre. The fees speak for themselves: "Ride Along" was released in January 2014 and in such a deaf season with a budget of $ 25 million raised $ 135 million. Not surprisingly, a sequel was immediately planned, which, however, did not evolve much.
Mission to Miami is the second part of Ride Along. The concept hasn't changed one iota. Cool cop James (Ice Cube) and his partner Ben (Kevin Hart) get into trouble. Ben's screwing up and James's mad. Ben's freaking out, and James walks around with a sour mine. And they end up defeating the bad guy. It’s like the equivalent of a cover band: it’s been on screens hundreds of times and at its best. It is worth noting that such a simple plot even managed to push a new episode of Star Wars at the North American box office from the top of the box office list!
The film begins immediately after the end of the first part. A week before Ben's wedding to Angela (Tika Sumpter, whose mission in the whole story is to call Hart's character and saw him), James begins a new investigation. To prove that he is worth something, energetic incompetent police officer Ben tied up with a cool older comrade. Yes, yes, it’s still the same plot, with a couple of fresh additions: a typical hacker nerd played by Kevin Jong (allegedly a guest star who doesn’t fit in at all and doesn’t feel part of the team) and the potential love interest of Cube’s hero performed by Olivia Mann.
Watching Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in a comedy for the first time was acceptable. But Mission to Miami is a stretch comedy. The jokes in the film are few and immature. Shooting by mistake is funny, perhaps for the first time, but when it happens over and over again, you feel the laziness of the writers. The rest of the jokes refer either to physical comedy (Hart's hero constantly gets into trouble) or to eccentric curves.
To be fair, there are at least two really funny moments in the film. It's a pretty predictable, but fun situational joke about ringtones. Another rather original twist concerns the moment when Hart’s character confused reality and a video game similar to Grand Theft Auto.
Acting. Ice Cube got used to being a tough cop. Ice Cube is too characterful to be content with Mission to Miami. He deserves better. But Hart, frankly, was annoying: the feeling that, waiting for the approval of his idiocy, he overplays every scene. It can even be seen that when Hart pours his manic energy into the audience, his heart seems to be on other projects. Maybe at some point he was tired of it all.
Conclusion: A typical unpretentious adventure about two cops. It’s like a cheap version of Bad Boys being crossed with the Rush Hour franchise.
P.S. A little test. In one of the scenes of the film, Ben calls him and James the team "brothers in law." Got it? They are brothers in law and they are brothers in law. If you can at least smile from such jokes, then Mission to Miami is worth watching.

The appearance of films like “Mission to Miami” in the domestic box office is explained by the desire to play along with the nostalgia of the public. This movie is the dream of any video show in the late 80s. A simple crime thriller with comedy elements generously scattered throughout the film is simple and understandable. “Mission to Miami” refreshed on the part of the plot, but left a sweet heart secondary, comparable in simplicity with soda for three cents from a Soviet street machine.
The plot of “Mission to Miami” does not shine with either originality or scriptwork. A small international squad stands in the way of organized crime in Miami. Do I have to say that the viewer manages to always be a little ahead of the film? Consciously created predictability and saturation with cliches from the 80-90s "Miami Missions" go to the film only for the benefit. Manipulating stereotypes, the authors achieve a banal, but firmly tailored dynamic narrative.
A pair of black cops (and future relatives) played by Ice Cube and Kevin Hart are great. The eternally unflappable, cynical Cube and Hart gushing with jokes and ideas. The tough rapper and the donkey from Shrek. Kevin Hart is the main engine of the film, his dynamo and absolute restlessness. Against his background, Ice Cube is accurate and phlegmatic. The appearance of an age-old Chinese hacker (Ken Zhong) in the film, forced to go over to the side of the police, is more a tribute to the development of the plot in the form of a computer polymath than adding a bright character to the team. Olivia Mann was cast in the film clearly for gender diversity and as the sympathy of the harsh Cube.
Obviously, Mission to Miami is balancing between mainstream and niche crime movies. “Mission to Miami” is a film for a very grateful audience who are absolutely not interested in all these arthouse throws. From the fall into the underground “Mission to Miami” save and the professionalism of the actors, and staging stunts, and kitsch beauties, and a generous hip-hop soundtrack. I doubt that Mission to Miami will have a sequel, the fashion for the 90s is gone, and with this departure, such action films begin to look like a time-stuck anachronism.

So, before us is the continuation of an uncomplicated comedy about police officers, which broke up the American box office two years ago. Despite the fact that the first film was not particularly funny, and was also a pile of cliches of all similar action movies about police officers, it was even very funny.
And after some time we get a sequel, which by all laws of the genre is an order of magnitude worse than the first film, which is also difficult to call a masterpiece. The plot is pretty simple. Bravo police officer James (Ice Cube) crashes a cool police operation with the help of his future brother-in-law Ben (Kevin Hart). So I'm sending our friends to Miami to find a hacker (Kem Jong) to take down a tough drug dealer. Next comes a series of stupid understands, awkward moments and a chase with shootings, as a result of which our grievous policemen manage to capture a dangerous criminal.
If we talk about the first film, it could be seen once or twice. The sequel didn't offer us anything interesting, the feeling of revisiting the worst moments of a deadly weapon and a Beverly Hills cop at the same time. The acting game does not extend beyond the plot. Ice Cube such a feeling was to burst from the feeling of his own coolness, Kevin Hart, who is not particularly the actor and a lot of stupid jokes. Who is worth noting is Kema Jong, who portrayed a very interesting character. so Benjamin Brett, who played a template, but not devoid of some gloss villain.
As a result, I want the series to end there, barely having time to start, but judging by the collections of the triquel to my regret can not be avoided.

Cool cop James (Ice Cube) is sure that his future son-in-law Ben (Kevin Hart) will not make a good detective. To prove this to a confident young police officer, James takes him on a difficult task - partners need to go to Miami and find a hacker who cooperates with drug dealers.
Released in 2013, “Mad Patrol”, frankly, did not become a new word not only in cinema in general, but even in the genre. Tim Storey put not too inventive in many ways secondary comedy, which has the amazing property of being forgotten immediately after watching. Apparently, this explains the box office success of the film, which with a budget of 25 million collected at the box office six times more – the audience simply did not remember that they had already seen it, and went to the movies again and again.
Jokes are jokes, but "Mad Patrol" with all the criticism in its address "took the jackpot", and iron, as you know, forged while hot. The sequel does not offer viewers anything new, but it was the first picture that pushed the seventh episode of Star Wars at the top of the box-office chart in the United States. Reviewers destroy the film, the public willingly part with the money - the situation is somewhat paradoxical, but quite satisfactory to those who worked on the project.
The perception of this franchise (there is a suspicion that it will not be limited to two films) largely depends on how you feel about Kevin Hart. Story is collaborating with the comedian for the fourth time, and each film is a benefit of one of Hollywood’s most talkative artists. This is not the case when the hero is built into the plot - "Mad Patrol" is built around Hart, and it is around him, not his character. Kevin is basically a new generation of Jim Carrey, the same everywhere. In the career of Kerry, however, there was “The Truman Show”, but Hart can not take a step aside and for many years with varying success cooked in the same boiler.
Mad Patrol is a typical Hart-style comedy. Practically devoid of vulgarity, which in our time is rare, not at all intellectual, but also does not make you blush from its impenetrable stupidity. It is obvious that Storey focuses on the 90s, when there was a slight family humor in honor and he was very often mixed with unsophisticated action films. This recipe is the basis of the second “Mad Patrol” – there are a lot of jokes about family relations, driving steep cars, shooting and even killing. But the action and purely symbolic script are still exclusively the entourage for Hart, who is trying to prove that, having passed the school of standup, he is able to drag the whole film on himself alone. Ice Cube, however, provides solid support - in contrast to his seriousness, Kevin's fooling looks even more revealing.
All this trampling in place has a predictable effect. It is unlikely that Hart with this film will gain many new fans and earn a coveted ticket to a real big movie, but in his niche he does not fall below the set bar. The second Mad Patrol, however, does not pretend to be original – it is simple as two pennies, predictable and banal, but in an amazing way this is its main plus.
The joint trip, or called in Russia “Mission to Miami”, did not receive high ratings in the rating of expectations, and therefore was again overshadowed by negative outbursts, which were received 3 years ago, namely when the first part of the film “Joint trip” was released.
This time, the film received an increased budget than the previous $40 million. Which means there are more doors open to directors for their possibilities. And they took advantage of this opportunity for all five points. This time we will look at what happened in my review:
Stop acting like that, you're not in Call of Duty
Mission to Miami begins just like the last one. A couple of cops are on a mission to capture a drug dealer. The operation goes well and James and Ben go to Miami. In a city where evil and drugs reign.
At the beginning of the film appears Tyrese Gibson. The appearance of this actor in the film is completely unclear. I won’t spoil it, but when you see the movie, you’ll understand what I wrote.
So many cool cars and no serious kid?
The cast of the film hasn't changed. The main roles are played by the same Ice Cube and Kevin Hart. Serious policeman and clumsy moron.
As I expected, Kevin was able to drag the film again with his jokes and stupidities that he does on stage.
Ice Cube also played his part perfectly, not inferior to Kevin. A serious, rude cop who still does not fully trust his sister's fiancé.
Chasing, James! Walking chase!
From such a film as "Joint trip 2" is primarily expected jokes and action. And the first and second in the movie is! Not to say that there are a lot of jokes in the film, but they are, and they are really funny. The action in the film is also enough. Lots of memorable moments. There are a lot more of them than in the last part, and that’s great.
Rejoice that we took you.
What do you expect when you go to the movies? Of course, a lot of fun and positive. Mission to Miami 2 is the movie that will give you a lot of fun and unforgettable. Fights, chases, jokes, detectives, a movie in the form of a video game - this is all present in the film and this is what will make you review the film many times.
Joint trip 2 is a great continuation to the first part, which gives pleasure a thousand times and will make you review the film more than once. It is a must see, even if you are not familiar with the first part.
"Miami Mission" by Tim Story is a continuation of a rather average of his own comedy action movie "Joint trip". Apparently, because of the successful rental, it was decided to continue without that, especially not attractive picture.
“Mission to Miami” is ideal for me as a regular movie, if you just want to see something simple, easy and not tense. Looking for something else here is pointless. The plot is simple and primitive, and does not carry any novelty, attractiveness and surprise. A high-quality picture probably will not surprise anyone, the only moment that really pleased, it was how the scene of the chase was played in the film. Putting that aside, the film doesn’t provide anything memorable. As for humor, it's there, but the funniest part of it has already been shown in the trailer. And in general, I would not say that the film really turned out to be humorous and funny, first of all it is still an action movie.
Mission to Miami could take out at the expense of its characters, but unfortunately, this does not work here. Actors simply return to their characters, but do not develop them. For those who saw the first part, in this regard, you will not see anything new here either. Ice Cube and Kevin Hart look great in a duet, but if in the first film they and their complicated, tense relationship were interesting to watch, then there is no longer.
In general, I would call Mission to Miami an ordinary, good average comedy action movie, which is ideal for one viewing and no more.

American director Tim Storey has learned to shoot a duplette in recent years. It all started with the well-known film adaptation of the Fantastic Four, a normal F4, and not the horror that the light saw in the recent past year, then two films about the difficult relationship between the two sexes with the title “Think Like a Man”, and then it was the turn of another successful soloist Tim, this time about no less complicated relationship between two cops, to stand in the ranks of dilogies. “Joint trip” and really, despite the straightforwardness and long-beaten theme, still left not the worst impression of themselves, thanks, first of all, a very colorful screen couple, who very effectively and drive out of all piled up troubles. The sequel promised to be at least as good.
The scene is transferred from the streets of Atlanta to the beaches of Miami, where, on the tip of one hacker on the run, there is a dangerous gangster syndicate engaged in all the black things that only dangerous gangster syndicates can do, and has already stretched its criminal threads far beyond the beaches of the resort city, for which, in fact, our heroes seized. Detective Payton, of course, was going alone to go on a dangerous mission, but the circumstances are not in his favor, and he has to take former partner Ben, who finally graduated from the academy, considers the mission in Miami as his own test of police strength, and plus everything is about to become a relative of a desperate detective, but this fact only aggravates the already shaky relationship of the killer couple.
A group of writers apparently decided not to do work on mistakes, so you have to watch the not the most exciting plot, which simply has nothing to boast about in terms of surprises and surprises. The banality and ingenuity of the screenwriters could be forgiven if all these plot twists and turns were woven from comic situations and funny dialogues, the benefit of the genre allows you to count on it, but even here you can satisfy yourself with expectations, because there are not so many funny situations with the characters, and things are even worse with the dialogues. The joke is damn little - the whole film is built on the crooked and pampered bad cop Ben and sullen grins like the cool cop James with their eternal rivalry and nagging to each other, sucked out of the finger, and the intersperses of love intrigues and stamped detective, apparently, remained somewhere at the stage of ideas, because to develop them properly the director does not work.
As a result, adventures in Miami with brothers-in-law turn out to be very mediocre and unpretentious in all directions. All the drive and effectiveness of the couple somewhere lost on the way from Atlanta, leaving only a few glimpses in the form of places a couple of good jokes and funny situations, which are also catastrophically few - the rest of the time is spent on more than meaningless chases, in which only music is happy against the background of hit rapper compositions, simple plot twists that do not need to be predicted - they are visible behind the mile, and empty chatter about nothing. I don’t want to look like a grumpy teacher, but the feeling is that the director and KO in this situation is a happy student who received “satisfactory” in the form of good fees and did not work for anything else. Thanks, Tim, for your efforts, but you can keep the trend with dilogies - a possible third part, despite the collections of the sequel, already smells of hopelessness and hopelessness.
In 2013, the world saw a tape called “A Journey Together”, where the cool policeman in the face of the notorious rapper Ice Cube took his sister’s boyfriend with him on patrol. At the box office, the film performed very, very well, so the continuation of this story was quite expected. The first part, despite its raw plot and worn-out moves, was able to save its position thanks to Kevin Hart. Like no one else, he was able to convey his cheerful mood and give a positive all day. His jokes were even funnier than the other characters. With this, the creators wanted to make the hero Hart a nerd, who, as a result of his stupid but brave actions, proves to everyone, especially the hero Cube, that he is worthy of his sister and even enter the ranks of law enforcement. What he does in the sequel.
So, after the events that occurred in the first part, Ben graduated from the Academy and began to work with James, the brother of his future sister. On the first mission, Ben helps James catch a dangerous criminal. They find a flash drive from him, but they can't crack it. Then they learn that the hacker who made the protection for the flash drive is currently in sunny Miami. The guys have to go there despite the fact that Ben has a wedding on his nose.
Unlike the first part, the sequel does not have the same charm and enchantment. But again, all this is mitigated by Kevin Hart. The plot became even more banal and after just 10 minutes of viewing, déjà vu appears, as if I had already seen it somewhere. And, unfortunately, something new movie, too, could not please. But the creators did not stand still, if in the first part the main character can still be considered Ben, then in the second James, because in Miami he liked Maya, a cop girl who works in the police department. Her character is almost exactly the same as that of James, and from their first meeting we can say that they are made for each other. I agree corny, but still funny to watch such a harsh man experiences warm feelings. For this you can put a plus, although their relationship is not fully disclosed.
In the end, from the movie “Mission to Miami” something new you should not expect. The tape is perfect for viewing in the circle of close friends, but it is not the fact that all of you will laugh in full voice.

What do we have? Another “black” comedy, full of “white” humor that allows you to relax. Is it worth remembering that this work of cinema is a continuation of the film “Joint trip”? I think you should. For not every time we deal with a dilogy, but with a completely different name.
Ice Cube again. Kevin Hart again. They're gorgeous. Cube is exactly what the man of the dream should be, and Hart is the embodiment of the “eternal” child, so direct, careless, but able to make decisions in difficult moments. And the bride was chosen to fit him: strong, understanding and patient. In general, the composition is what you need.
In this case, the end fully justifies the funds spent on it. I laughed a lot, with feeling, with sense, with arrangement. So, yes, run, order, buy tickets for this film at the box office, from dealers and get what you came for – paradise relaxation, because this is exactly what you are missing now.
