In the small town of Encanto in the mountains of Colombia lives an unusual family of Madrigal. Each of them has an amazing gift – magic. Someone knows how to predict the weather, someone bakes cakes that can heal from any disease. And that's not all. Louise, for example, is a strongwoman who can move a stone house, and Isabel can turn everything around her into beautiful roses. The abilities of the Madrigal family are the key to the success of all residents of the town.
And therefore the head of the family grandmother Abuela closely follows the symbol of the magical gift of her family - an unquenchable candle.
There is another amazing girl in the house - young Mirabel. What is surprising is the lack of any gift. Mirabelle is ordinary. He can't get over it.
Life flows in its cheerful stream, but one terrible day the magic begins to collapse, and the reason for this is unknown to any of the family members.
Except for the mysterious Uncle Bruno, who disappeared years ago. Mirabel decides to understand this mysterious story and save his family.
I liked everything about this story. The plot is simple, but it is also designed for young children. So there can be no complaints about that. And the rest is a beautiful cartoon musical. Songs, by the way, are not as much as you might think. They are all about time and place.
Heroes cause a smile, and the cartoon itself guarantees a good mood, if not for the whole day, at least for the time of viewing.
Which is a lot.
In general, the classic history of the studio, which is extremely similar to the drawing of “Moana”, but without the same catchy script and memorable songs. But everything in order.
Plot
In the center we see the standard for such works girl Mirabel, who is different from all her relatives and can not find herself and how to help everyone around. All relations between relatives are as strained as possible, and all live in the despotism of their own grandmother. Everyone does only what she needs and what she needs. However, no one shows any signs (at first glance) that something is wrong.
And thanks to the chance discovery of a vision in which, at first glance, it seems that Mirabel is responsible for the disappearance of superpowers of family members, everyone begins to reveal their true feelings for each other.
There is nothing supernatural in history, but there are some questions to the vision: why was reconciliation shown with one person and not with another? However, you can throw a lot of questions to the story, but it is watchable, although it does not cause almost any emotions, as it was in the same “Moana”.
In the plot there is a good beginning, a drawn-out middle, heat and surge at the end and a logical conclusion (in general).
Characters
The characters are shallow, superficial. There is simply not enough timekeeping for a small family cartoon to reveal each member of the family, because they limited themselves to only a couple of sisters and uncles.
You don’t really want to worry about someone here, but in some places the story seems very addictive and stands approximately in place, that you want to either remove the disturbing character or dilute someone from the others.
Songs
Usually, this is an extremely important aspect of any Disney cartoon. The memorable soundtrack was always the hallmark of the film studio: “The Lion King”, “Tarzan”, “In Search of Nemo” from the older ones and “Moana”, “Frozen” or “Coco Mystery” from the new. Not this time, unfortunately.
This cartoon does not want to review a second time, and (more sadly) do not want to include in the car album with songs from the cartoon to sing them for the next week. There are some memorable shots from the production of musical performances, but not the music itself or the words.
It seems to be mediocre here too.
Duplicate
The worst thing about this movie is dubbing. I try to watch almost all movies in the original except Disney movies. They are always reverent (treated) to the actors of dubbing, which has repeatedly noted the studio behind the bump.
Surprisingly, the voice of Regina Todorenko is not recognized while she speaks in the voice of Mirabel, but during the songs her creaking voice bursts out, which does not fit the main character. The first 2-3 songs generally seemed to insert a voice from another cartoon or someone recorded a pirate. Then you seem to get used to it, but still the songs in her performance failed this time.
Grandma's voice also makes me press my chair several times. As long as she talks, it's okay, but as soon as she starts singing, it's best to stop it. Especially at the end, when some of the words just don’t make it into the synchronized text, the voice becomes very nasty. In general, I like the voice of Marina Bakina, but here the summary of the sound was as nasty as possible.
Result
The two central components of the cartoon failed (the soundtrack and the voiceover), and the plot and characters are mediocre and cause about nothing. After watching the film, there is not much emotion, which is sad for the musical new work of Disney.
In general, good leisure for going to the movies with family and children, however, such a film would prefer to see at home in Kinopoisk in January-February, would not miss anything.

To begin with, it's brave. Bold, because there is no exciting plot, unexpected twists and turns, everything that the viewer responds well to. It is about the most urgent and everyday, what affects everyone - about the worldview, their desires and place in this world.

If so, the ambitions of the authors can only be envied. The level of passion, of course, is not sustained. How do you do that in a children’s movie? The main conflict with the prophecy is poorly disclosed - little time is given to the emotional experiences of its participants. Priority is given to the children of the family, who are uncomfortable to live in the shape of magic (as if the hat in Harry Potter chose you the wrong faculty).
Watching this is also incredibly interesting! And the songs... fire!

Encanto is an incredibly colorful cartoon. Now, the season has come when it is dull, cold and gloomy, and such pictures are like the sun, from which it gives off warmth.
First of all, of course, the cartoon draws your attention to the fact that it is important to accept “others” and it does not matter in the family or anywhere, or otherwise, if a person is different, this is not yet a pathology, but a feature. But, society tends almost always to pacify it, to make it “like everyone else”, under the standard, thereby destroying the person and even life, the higher the prejudices in the country, the greater the pressure.
The second is not to elevate something by thinking it has power. Power is you, you are magic and wonder. A miracle is not a fairy tale, but rather something that people themselves have created and create, if you remove the “super power”, then there are quite a lot of miracles in life, just not so often talk about it. No reason.

What about the implementation?
Realization, colorful. A lot of music. I would rather call it a musical because there are so many singing moments. Who would have thought Regina Todorenko was singing? And the soundtrack is great, especially when you watch "Dolby Atmos"...just goosebumps.

In the end, the cartoon is cool, I just want to go several times to see more. The children liked it, but they needed an aftertaste conversation – a discussion of who misunderstood what, what conclusions could be drawn.
The latest Disney cartoon. I saw it. And here's what I want to say.
Disney Corporation continues its new-fangled course on ethnicity and feminism. Again exotic location (deep Latin America), again the main character, in addition to a little... er... body-positive. And again, the entire cartoon will be ruled almost exclusively by female characters, from juniors to the matriarch.
So that was the information for adults, and now it's important for kids. The cartoon is beautiful, no doubt. Songs... Not bad. They're also pretty, in part. But the story of finding oneself, overcoming and salvation is not new. The magic here is either from Dorian Gray, or from Gnostic legends, and as a result, a more cheerful and bright (and dry!) version of the famous city of Macond from the immortal local novel.
What else? In my opinion, the story is still somewhat drawn out.
Further, the magical Madrigal family is quite funny, but they still lacked some zest. It was beautiful, but completely disposable.
In general, it is quite possible to watch once. And the finale is quite right and soulful.
The film is not outstanding, but with good morals. The question is, will it be interesting for an adult?
It all depends on your attitude towards cinema. If you’re happy with everything that comes out, then you’ll definitely like it. But if you are a grouch like me or have a critical mindset like me (here is a smiley with a raised eyebrow and a grin), then you are unlikely to highlight something interesting for yourself.
In any case, there are no friends in the taste and color. Would you like the cartoon? - That's great. You won't like it? In the summer, a promising product from PIXAR - "I blush." Looking forward to it.
Why didn't this cartoon please me? Well, it doesn't have a deep, exciting, or sad story. No highlight. It's standard Disney work. Disney's highlights are handled by PIXAR. They are trying to surprise everyone, and the “eared” shoot about princesses. There will be no princess here. There will be, literally, a simple main character among the relatives of cheaters. It's not bad. A simple character is interesting, but already, based on this, you can understand what the morality will be. No intrigue. True, they are trying to create it, but, to be honest, it turned out poorly. I just yawned.
But I still found something I liked. There's a good song by a girl on steroids. I think you will agree with me.
Admittedly, this is my first review. Therefore, please consider my assessment purely subjective.
'Encanto' is not just a cartoon musical, it is a story about the fact that the main thing in the family is to hear each other and understand. This picture perfectly showed how we look from the outside when stunned go to a goal that, as it sometimes turns out, is not quite good and will not make us happy.
The cartoon is suitable for viewing not only for children, but also for adults: it will help to open your eyes to the desires and hobbies of your relatives; will make it clear that you need to talk to each other and open the doors to your soul (as well as politely ask in ' home of the soul' your loved ones).
The emotions are only positive! Of course, I gave way to tears, but if such a story did not touch my soul, the picture would not be so good (that is only my opinion). But fortunately, 'Encanto' is a miracle!
