Like everything else, though. Banal, stereotyped - these words are most often found in negative reviews for this film. In the positive, the most commonly used word is love. But wait, people, where is love really?
In the story, the daring bully Ache (and in my opinion, an aggressive sociopath and just a loser, who in his 25 years has neither a job, nor his own home, what he lives, it is unclear) decides to seduce an innocent girl from the rich Babi family (who is a bitch). First she breaks, then, of course, she gives him, because she wants sex and adrenaline in her boring predictable life. Then, having plans for her life that this psychopath does not fit in at all, and not knowing how to get rid of him, she clings to the first pretext she finds and announces to him about breaking up. All of a sudden, he starts running after her like a battered puppy and whining. This is one of the most illogical moments. After all, he initially had no plans for her, but to get laid in order to excuse himself from prison and sleep. And at what point, and most importantly, what she hooked him so much, the film doesn't say. I kept waiting for her to suddenly save his life, or something like that, so that he would pop in and look at her as special. But that didn't happen. Therefore, Ache’s wild feelings about his separation from Babi, which seem to have eclipsed even the death of a friend, are incomprehensible to me. The version that he fell in love with her because they are from different worlds also does not roll. At the beginning of the film, he says to her at a party: ' You like that I called you a soldier. With people like you, it always works. With a pinched, but dreaming to break away & #39; That is, he seduced girls like her. And how did it differ from them?

How I was recommended to watch this movie! That's what's paradoxical, if I'd just seen him, without prior praise, I might have liked him more. My review is not negative at all. The actors are good, it’s nice to watch a non-American film, I drew attention to the director’s work, beautiful light and composition in almost every scene.
But after watching, I had 2 big questions, first, where to cry, and secondly, why some sources call the film almost “cult”?
You know, I had a feeling like the lovers of beautiful books, when 50 shades of gray sold a million copies. Perplexity. In my opinion, the dramatic part is very weak. It is nice to look at the manifestations of youth, carelessness, passion. But there is absolutely no intrigue, it is mercilessly stolen from us by the director. When the movie started, after 5 minutes of watching it, I thought, “What a banal beginning, what’s going to happen next that will make me change my mind?” Nothing. One drop of philosophy and reflection in the last sentence? Sorry, gentlemen, little, very little.
It seems that the speeches of praise are written by people who, apart from this film, have seen only some American pie, or something similar and everything. Then of course the film is beautiful.
Love? I don’t consider a girl who left a guy in such a difficult situation to be loving. And the guy who didn't have time to fight, didn't want to, apparently, loved her very much. My God, an ordinary teenage first love, today a person is the whole world, after university you hardly remember his face. And Polo and Katina? Ache (Mario Casas) is a night bully who owns a motorcycle, a slightly unbalanced type with psychopathic tendencies. The personal drama of this hero was never fully revealed, but it was not necessary. If the director got into the wilds of the relationship between the parents of the guy, trying to tell us the whole backstory of events, it would be a completely different movie. The main thing we need to know is that this person wants to run away from himself, from his life, in which he sees no meaning. The only thing that takes him is the search for new sensations and new entertainment. Such entertainment at first becomes Babi, who, getting into the world of Ache, looks like a real exotic there.
Babi (Maria Valverde) is a girl from a wealthy family, accustomed to prosperity and luxury. Not only is she on schedule in the present, but her entire future is known in advance. Bored by such monotony, deep down she dreams of a miracle that will brighten her gray everyday life. That is why she clutches for acquaintance with Ache, as for a life-saving straw, in the hope at least for a while to get out of the swamp of monotonous “right” life.
These two found what they were looking for. And everything would be fine if the maximalism of youth and the passions raging in young hearts did not lead to what is popularly called love. How many of us have not had that feeling in our lives? Perhaps not everyone’s first love story was so turbulent and emotional, but each of us experienced something similar. So, this film will be understandable to people of absolutely all age categories, because it touches in our souls those strings that never dry out. However, the creators of the film made a clear bet on young girls, who for the most part were supposed to make up its audience - Mario Casas' naked torso flashes here and there. Admittedly, this move turned out to be quite effective, but too striking, although not spoiling the overall impression.
In general, you will not find anything new here, but this is the beauty of this film. Fernando Gonzalez Molina and the whole crew managed to turn, in general, a simple plot into a beautiful picture, shot at a fairly high professional level. Everything turned out very emotionally, strongly, powerful and even enchanting! What is worth only one scene of motorcycle racing! And when the relationship of the main characters begins to develop, the atmosphere of tenderness and passion covers with the head. Whatever you say, hot Spaniards can make love movies.

I have conflicting feelings. Everyone around me for several years told me about this film, how touching, amazing, amazing. When I first saw this movie, my thoughts after watching it were, “Is that it?” And that makes so much noise? My opinion has changed today.
We have before us, in any case, a typical melodrama about young people thirsting for freedom and discovery. The guy meets a girl, tries to win, she falls in love and further according to the script. I tried to grab the film for those moments that make it clear and see the viewer what unearthly love the main characters, how happy they are that they are really three meters higher. But there were no such amazing moments to prove it. But I can’t help but mention an important detail that gave some light and kind... meaning. The main characters (Babi, Ache, Polo, Katina) have insanely open eyes. Everyone reads something different: Babi – sympathy, Ache – passion, Polo – friendship, Katina – happiness. They speak brilliantly with our eyes. They worry, they rejoice, they strive for something. I think the game really impressed me. As far as actors are concerned, I liked everyone except Mario Casas. I don't understand why there are so many words about him. What's so special about him? I can’t say he’s the biggest drawback of this movie, no. In some places he saved him, made him brighter, more fun. I really liked Maria Valverde. The whole thing is probably also in the Russian voice. Perfectly matched voices complement the image. And probably the most positive character in the film, Alvaro Cervantes. His character is the best in this movie. It radiates real warmth and just attracts. Plus, again, great voiceover.

I will not dwell on the plot, a lot is written about it in other reviews, and in general, such a movie is better to look at a clear head. Because everyone who has (or especially has) a strong and unhappy love will see a lot of themselves in the film, similar moments when you wanted to scream and send the whole world to hell. And each reflection of himself in this film will be purely individual.
Many negative reviews are based on the illogicality and meaninglessness of many actions (especially the choice of the main character in the end). But let’s think about first love. Was everything logical and consistent? Was it supposed to end well? And do we always, in life, when we swear our feelings (and let me remind you that the film emphasizes first love), remain true to each other and overcome all difficulties? It is so arranged that all people are selfish by nature, and it is foolish to deny it. We always look for what is best for us, and then we think of someone else. It's cruel, it's unfair, but point with your finger where there's justice in the world.
Therefore, “Three meters above the level of the sky” me more and hooked it with its vitality in terms of human relationships and psychology. But after a while, I realize that’s not the case. I think the hype around this story is overblown. As always, everything is in order.
Characters and cast
She (Maria Valverde) is a pye-girl, an excellent student, in general, a Komsomol, an athlete and just a beauty. Speaking of the beauty: after watching the picture “Cracks”, this girl charmed me with both external beauty and a very decent acting, so I had high hopes for Maria. She didn't exonerate them. But I don't think that's her fault. I don't think it's her role.
He (Mario Casas) is a kind of “bad boy”, arrogant, pumped-up weasel, in general, a complete set for the charm of stupid teenagers. It’s not up to me to decide, of course, but this production choice didn’t please me either. The only thing that came up with this role was a smug grin. But the fact that half of the time he spent without a top, I was frankly annoyed. It reminded me of the second part of the notorious Twilight, in which poor Taylor Lautner had to freeze in the picturesque forests for the sake of a contract. In my opinion, this is a similar case - the most banal and therefore disgusting way to attract the female half of the audience.
I don’t want to talk about the other characters because no one really pleased me. Dry and predictable.
Soundtrack
I didn’t remember anything, but the melodies were appropriate and quite tearful for such a film.
Scenario
That's where I have something to say! I guessed half of the movie with 99 percent accuracy. I didn't see any morals in the movie! Hugo was a bad guy and instead of being changed by the classics of the genre, thanks to the cute and kind Babi, they, roughly speaking, both become bad guys. A girl skips school, loses her innocence by a dirty pool, fights with her ex-girlfriend Hugo. Well, for God's sake, there's no point, unless the whole point is to promote self-destruction, and this phrase "... three meters above the sky" became hateful to me after I settled on the page of every second in the role of status. I haven’t read the books, but I found Hugo’s character inadequate. What kind of romance are we talking about, gentlemen, when this young man actually does not know how to control himself? If he were a real person and not a character, I would advise him on some anger management program, and for all I remember, the Spaniards are hot.
The only advantage in the film seemed to me the presence of some spark between the main characters. They played in vain, but looked at each other with a light. Only later did I find out that Mario Casas and Maria Valverde had turned their roles into an official affair. Well, that was nice.

Someone will ask, why am I wasting my time on this movie when it is so incompetent? My review turned out to be so voluminous, probably first of all, because of the indignation, since the picture is really low-grade and very primitive.
I heard on social media about this movie. I decided to look at everything, but I was afraid that I would waste two hours of my life in vain.
Well, I wasn't afraid.
After viewing, there was a feeling that they took template phrases, the plot and decorated all this with cute faces.
Anyway, the plot is common. Nothing unpleasant, repulsive. A lovely tale of a bad boy and a good girl. How many films have been and will be made. But perhaps such a disgusting realization the big screens will not see soon. Every situation is so playful, the transition from one state to another is ridiculous.
The characters are absolutely formulaic. None of the characters surprised me, did not show any unique character, did not make me worry. Unless poor Pollo caused pity. I forgot about the beautiful dog.
Actors were selected, apparently, to become characters. Is Maria Valverde an actress? It seems that she and Kristen Stewart are related, except that Maria at least some emotions face (if you can call it that) expresses. Besides, I might not understand the plot, but wasn't Babi supposed to be pretty? The figure is nothing, but the face ...
Mario Casas was not particularly impressed either. In the first minutes I was pleasantly surprised by his appearance, but by the tenth everything became clear.
I liked the music. And hints of a beautiful tale. But a beautiful story doesn't have to be messy.

I would never have seen this movie, but my ex-girlfriend was obsessed with it and convinced him to watch it. During the joint viewing I was bored, pretended to be interesting, bored again, almost fell asleep, but watched. I had to lie, which I generally liked.

“Three meters above the level of the sky” is a classic melodramatic film, a love story of a girl from a decent family and a guy from the street against the backdrop of picturesque landscapes. How often do good girls like the bad guys, at first they resist, but then they can not escape the power of the passion that has seized them. So develop the relationship of smart and beautiful Babi and bully Achi. Their love is pretty seasoned with scandals in the family, street motorcycle racing and sunsets.
As a lover of art house, it was not easy for me to admit to myself that the film turned out to be worthy. Yes, the plot is ordinary and it has a lot of excessively romantic scenes, but in general the movie turned out beautiful: with interesting faces (Maria Valverde), beautiful bodies (Mario Casas), sexually colored soundtracks, chic views of nature.
It is recommended for viewing those who want to just relax and watch an easy pleasant movie.
I can’t say categorically that the film is bad, but not for my age category and did not touch me at all. I could not feel the mysterious aura that brought him popularity. In my opinion, this is a vanilla heresy for schoolchildren. Or maybe I haven’t noticed how I started getting older?

You may think I'm a grouch, but I think it's a little strange to promote the open sexuality of teenagers. It is only towards the end, we learned that the main character is 17, and so half of the film I was sure that the author allows himself to sparkle with the young charms of a 15-year-old girl or so.
The main character is undoubtedly supposed to become the idol of teenagers. I think at least half of the young girls who saw the movie fell in love with it. But he is a person who does not know how to control his anger absolutely (there is such a stereotype, quite true, that a man who once hit a woman will do it again), a vivid example of youthful maximalism, which lingered until the age of 23. Pure deviant in the body of brutal macho. A bad boy with no hope of correction.
But there are a lot of “hugging on a good background”, just pictures and statuses from Vkontakte. In general, the target audience is adolescents of school age. Well at least the film ends more or less morally, otherwise it would not make sense at all.
Growing up is when you identify with your parents, not the main characters, and you realize that they are right in their severity.
As a whole, the film does not cause unambiguous emotions. I had the impression that the writer, the cameraman and the “computer artists” were not working together, but separately, occasionally exchanging opinions about the results. The director and producer stood “behind their backs somewhere” and in those moments when they wanted to change something, they said, “Hey Mario, I think in this place you need to change the music for something more gentle!”
Of course, this is my impression, which in fact was not, but the result of my opinion does not change.
If you’re not used to thinking about what you see in the movie; for you, “House 2” and the MTV editions are the best snack for dinner... don’t read any more, just watch this movie and most likely you’ll love it!
Plot

It would be better if the film lasted 40 minutes longer, but all the plot “tricks” would be carefully disguised, and the turning points are well described.
Actors
With the exception of a few roles (Baby, Rafaella and the girlfriend of the “chief” bikers), the impression of playfulness was created. This was especially true of Achi. The actor is very suitable, but in the most violent moments he did not play ("psychias do not calm down so quickly), and in calm moments the facial expressions were somewhat “tense” or tense.

That’s what kept me from leaving the show. Excellent shooting, carefully prepared scenes, unrealistically beautiful shots throughout almost the entire film.

I fully agree with the need for “technical misunderstandings”, such as the lack of wind on the hair and too light damage – this is not a “thrash”, not an action movie, but a melodrama. Viewing should not cause disgust with its credibility. Life is always different.
Music in the film
The romantic scenes are all 5+, but the scene of Forever Young made me cover my face with my hands. This composition is in spirit knocked out of the whole film, it would be great for a blue retro disco. Was it just because of the words “Forever Young”? The moral of the film is a little different. Those who want to see a film full of unreal real feelings, you can hardly count on this. The development of the plot coincided with the evolution of my attitude to this film.
At first, I didn’t even know if the movie I was being told I had included. What I saw in the beginning was very disharmonious with what I heard. As is often the case, the first impression was misleading. And this is for the best.
It’s just that at first everything in the movie seemed “too cool” in the worst sense of the phrase. A cool guy in a black jacket at breakneck speed dissects on a motorcycle, a vanilla girl in an ironed skirt is going to school.
Contrast? I guess. Fernando Gonzalez Molina just wanted to show the chasm between the worlds in which Babi and Acho lived. Well, maybe it was a little too much.
Yes, the plot is tormented by writers-directors many times. But I was moved. Of course, the film turned out to be too “film”, unreal, that is... perhaps it is in the notorious “classic genre”, but wedge in “Three meters...” another image, a little less tense mood – and that’s all, the film will not be the same.
I'm waiting for charges of "vanilla snot" that spread through the tree. But it's a beautiful movie. Maybe there's something ostentatiously emphasized. But beautiful. You feel it. You can feel how people change, too. The frame is classically one in films of similar subjects. Coolness, tenderness, love to the grave, the sea, caresses, tears, rain... well, something like that. But so what? The game is different, naturally. The Spanish film is immediately felt. The impulsiveness was very good.
By the way, with “love to the grave” I was wrong. Atypical even, and not even death is to blame, but indeed the incompatibility of the way of life ... and not only she alone.

Don’t expect anything supernatural from this story. Do not focus on the presence of numerous stamps inherent in the genre, which many safely do. You're not gonna savor it.
He who has his own tragic completed story, which he carries in himself, will drive it away in his head again and experience something again.
The banality (from some point of view) of the story does not make it less personal, and therefore less significant.
Perhaps, before you start writing your review, it is worth telling what “long way” I had to go to see this film. First of all, it was repulsive that all those who watched admired not the picture itself, the plot, but Mario. And always, someone from a friend told me for five minutes about what a cool movie it was, and thirty minutes about what a pretty Mario was. And then the question follows: “If you can only look at this actor, then does it make sense to watch this movie at all?”
Since 2010, I have been fascinated by this film. I remember even the day when I set out to watch it, but after reading the description, I thought it was terribly banal, and, as you can guess, I did not watch it. And everything would be fine, but yesterday it was just such a mood that I did not want to burden myself with watching all sorts of smart films, and the soul demanded romance, and now I remembered about "Three meters above the level of the sky." I saw it. To be honest and frank, I didn’t like that everyone told about this movie so “snotty and drooling”, but still admit that in the end I cried myself, but! I didn’t catch anything special in this film, and I think it’s time to move away from the backstory and talk about my impressions.
Plot. Throughout the film, the question is asked, “Hasn’t everyone who admires this movie seen Hurry to Love?” Just so much admiration, cries about what an unusual movie this is... Where's the oddity? Everything is banal and chewed for a long time. Yes, I do not argue, there are scenes that are actually beautiful, touching, but with the plot of this film you can draw so many parallels of other films that just to call this movie a special language does not turn.
The main characters. I don't get it. I didn't get it! What did they both want out of life? I'll start with Babi. From the very beginning, it is clear that such a star will not fall into the hands of everyone. Especially at a party, she very often pops up features of conceit and hypocrisy, and, probably, in her heart she has an ardent desire to finally come that brutal macho male who would put her in her place. And then, there is just such a surprise, and there is a cool rider, a rocker and just an ideal (if you rely on the words of all the girls who admire this film) Hé. Of course, I will not judge their characters, because they are very well suited to their lifestyles. Notice they come from two different worlds. And here, I just want to write the same phrase “about the collision of two different social worlds”, which I wrote in the review of “Hurry to love”. And for that matter, I think it's worth mentioning another couple like Pollo and Katina. I don’t know why, but I liked them better, probably because I don’t see anything special about Ache and Babi, but also because Pollo and Katina had a much easier time. I'm not saying that you should have put feelings like that on the foreground, no. It’s just that their relationship looks so much more real, and why would people want to see in a movie what they can easily see in their own lives? And by the way, I believe that the scene of Pollo's death opens the eyes of the attentive viewer to the misunderstanding between Ache and Babi. Babi blames Ache for the death of a friend, but wasn’t she the one who told Hugo on the eve of Polla’s performance that they had to separate for a while, so he didn’t go to a race with a friend. Also, when the enraged Ache begins to freak out and hit a friend's ill-fated motorcycle, Babi tries to calm him down, but he can't recover. Then the scene begins in the style of “you do not notice anyone around you.” The girl says that he does not perceive her as necessary, listens, pays attention to her. All this must be said when Hugo lost his best friend!
But still, the whole film pleases the saturation of tones and shades in each frame. It is the colorfulness that betrays such an unreal movie such reality.
And of course, music! It is music, seemingly just the background, that appears in this film as a separate character. Every scene has perfectly matched sounds. In this movie, music ceases to be just an echo, it seems to play with our heart like a puppet, pulling strings, allowing him to freeze, then frantically knock.
And so I came to the most important thing, to what, perhaps, distinguishes this film from others by the end. It was these last scenes that made me shed tears. After all, before, in paintings of this type, one of the main characters died, but still inside the viewer there was a feeling that their love is eternal, even despite such a sad outcome. But in "Three meters above sky level" everything is so difficult. She just left, he cried. And most likely, I myself cried at the end not from the fact that such a great love broke up, no, it happens very often in real life, maybe it was just difficult for me to believe that even such a fabulous and unreal love can end like this, not because of what, but maybe I was just moved by the fact that such a brutal guy like Ache remained abandoned and did not hesitate to show his pain and tears.
In general, to sum up, I will say that such films as this can already be assigned a separate category - "in the evening to gust", but even despite the brightness of the colors and the musical accompaniment, I still warm up more soul "Hurry to love". Even despite the fact that it is not new, not so bright, not so spectacular, it still remains more tender and touching than “Three meters above sky level”. And I think it is worth watching it, someone will, of course, have different urges: for a tick, a desire to whine or simply unbearable fan love for Mario, but still, even despite the stupidity of the main characters, the banality of the plot, a real sentimental soul will find what to learn from this film.
The film is about how good girls fall in love with bad guys. There are many such examples in life. The girls are drawn to adventure, they do not want to be obedient and diligent. At first, the main character Babi is a little sorry, very tough with her. But then you start to realize that she likes this attitude, she lacks adrenaline in life.
The beginning of the film is a bit crazy.
The kids quietly have fun at the disco, all of a sudden 10 boogays come and start wrecking everything... then start chasing the car... a nightmare. It didn't look very plausible. They felt too unpunished.

The first part made an impression, though an emotion like 'wow!' or ' it's a masterpiece!!' didn't. The plot is a little bit jammed. The nature and photography of the beach were impressive. It bribes the unselfishness with which actors throw themselves into each other's arms. Although some viewers disagree with the interpretation of the plot: this is not the story of a guy and a girl from different backgrounds (possibly the Ache family is richer - remember the episode in which Ache and a friend came to his uncle, took the phone and asked for 400 euros, which he said to take in his wallet. The pension for the disabled is now about 640 euros, rather people of different values and cultural level. The ending is sad, but correct.
After watching the second part, the positive sensations of the first are significantly reduced. The main characters have grown up, but the transition from ' I love you' to ' I don't remember how you look' happened somehow abruptly. And the fact that Ache did not try to return the girl is surprising. And Jean resembles a moody teenager, flaunting his freedom and independence. As for the negative comments against Babi: she did not try to hit the sore spot, but rather wanted him to come back to her. In this situation, rather, Ache’s actions look inadequate: his new girlfriend is the first time with a debut on stage, but he goes to Katina, there meets Babi and calmly goes with her – without insisting on returning. No one forced him to have sex. In general, he drew conclusions, but not those.
Well, I finally got to this creation of the film industry. The hype around this film in social networks is pretty good, a new story of first love, a new hero of women’s hearts, a new role model for the younger generation. I like to watch high-quality Hollywood romcoms and tearful melodramas, in the style of “Rules of Set” and “Sweet November”, and even review them and let a tear. This is me to the fact that I am not at all insensitive and surprise me with a good love story is not at all difficult. But this creation not only did not touch me, but outraged me to the core.
“Three meters above the level of the sky” is a story about the first love of a bad boy, wise with certain experience in love affairs and a young innocent virgin from a good family, raised as a true Lady.

Babi - all this in Valentino, attends a prestigious school for girls, well-mannered, modest and reasonable. However, at the same time, shamelessly traveling around the city on a motorcycle in one underwear, hysterical and not shining with intelligence. In relation to her, I had the whole film in my brain spinning the famous song “And the girl is ripe”, so she was essentially indifferent to who, where and how.
And now these two have a great feeling, they know each other, a lot of half-naked Ache and Babi in pastel underwear. And by all the laws of the genre, this great feeling from an ordinary Gopnik should create a Prince Charming, but... Nothing happens, the monster does not change, only learned to twist the monkey's face, in attempts to squeeze out a stingy male tear, a beautiful princess - acquires all the makings of a future whore, against the background of her immeasurably stupid sister, a cheerful girlfriend and his thief friend, who pulls money from his passion, a strict mother who cares about everything, except her Majesty and her calf dad, I do not understand how he could make money with such a character. In love quarrels arise from scratch, the authors did not even bother to come up with real reasons for these quarrels. And the apotheosis of all the tragic death of his friend, designed to divert the viewer to feelings, especially one who has not previously been imbued with this story. .
All curtains, applause, put out the lights!!! Young girls in tears and indescribable delight: here she is a beautiful first love, a gopnik and a tantrum, wipe away tears and shuffle their eyes around in attempts to find a similar gopnik and give him his unspent affection and tenderness. It is characteristic of young ladies to find idols and examples of a bright feeling, dreaming of something similar happening to them at night. And I was, but fortunately, in my youth, I had another example of first love. I also watched Dirty Dancing and sleeved tears, but I am immensely glad that I had just such an example: where a man (the magnificent Patrick Swayze) is a real knight, earns money and does not shy away from work, does not abandon friends in trouble, and noblely bears responsibility even for other people’s sins, does not loose hands and does not fall into fits of uncontrollable aggression, has certain talents and does not roar like a girl, and there is no doubt that he will be an excellent father and husband, and a woman with a large letter, does not abandon her friends in need, but is not afraid of modest and love, but does not think about herself in Africa, but she does not think about her humble and care.
Personally, I am for other examples in love, and I would not advise anyone to watch "Three meters above the level of the sky."

The film does not matter the age or gender of the viewer. Nothing but my own memories. If you’ve learned something from your life, I’ll love the movie as much as I like it. So it’s a little strange to hear a lot of “nothing like that.” If the movie liked only because of the figure of the main character or your desire to roar to some melodrama, then this is from your youth, and the film is not really about this and not what the director wanted. If the plot seems far-fetched, well, say that in life this does not happen, it is a fairy tale, and you are an intellectual. We're not going to play film critics, we're all down the street. Some will say that history is banal. Yeah, it's corny to be honest. Of course, it is embellished in places, but it is in any movie. You know, even before I watched it, I personally had a little preconception that movies are just another snot for teenagers. What was my surprise when it turned out that the movie liked many adults, a lot of seeing, smart people, and did not like mainly those who did not understand the motivation of the characters. However, everyone has their own view of things, there is nothing wrong with this.
And to explain, by the way, the behavior of the heroes is very simple. They are too young to love, too demanding to live like any teenager, too maximalist. They have not yet learned this feeling, they have received it, but they do not know what to do with it. They want everything or nothing, victory or defeat. Acho failed to forgive his mother’s betrayal of her father, although it is her right, and it is not for him, the child, to decide whom she loves. He resents her for ruining his world. The wildest maximalism. And with Babi, he gradually learns to protect another person, to be responsible for him. He is clumsy and inappropriate in his kidnapping of a school teacher's dog, but as he knew how to take care of Babi.
She's much more stupid than he is. She's too young and can't behave. She does not yet know that hysteria and psychosis is a woman’s worst sin, and she repeats at every opportunity “we will break up.” He who did not lose, dared. That’s why she doesn’t stand up for Acho on her birthday, because she wants everything to go perfectly, but everything goes awry. She does not yet understand that loved ones are not threatened, not revenged, and if they say something, it is not in the center of a room full of people, shouting at the top of her voice. Babi is still so small... Then she'll have no choice. The slap is the point of no return when you have to urgently look for a replacement for Acho, only to have someone nearby, to help you not look back at the same invented problems. The main characters had to meet later, growing up, then they would know how to behave. In general, this film is about how reborn, how the feeling changes over time and circumstances. Love is for those who believe in it.
This film was praised by my friends and many people I don’t know, quotes and music from it constantly appeared on social networks, and despite the fact that often my opinion about the film does not coincide with the opinion of the majority, I decided to look at the object of admiration of many people.
But I wasn't impressed by the movie. This is a typical melodrama with a banal plot, which most likely appeals to girls-fans of “Twilight” at the age of 12-15 years.
The film is very predictable and is built mainly on cliches: here we see a bully-motorcyclist, then a girl-award from a rich family, and it does not take a genius to guess that they will meet, first she will hate him, and then they will love each other.
The whole story is unreal and unlikely to happen, although it is presented as if it could happen to any girl dreaming of a Prince Charming. I was surprised, perhaps, only the end – they still could not be together.
Separately, I want to say about the game of actors, or rather about its absence. Mario Casas tried to convey to the viewer the image of a handsome bully (I personally did not think he was handsome) with a kind heart and philosophical thinking, but he failed. He only walked the whole film with a bare torso and a face that did not express any emotions. Maria Valverde also did not shine with acting talent (and does she have it?).
Dialogues about love are primitive and cause a smile rather than touching feelings.

There are many beautiful films about love, tragic and happy, reciprocal or not, with a magnificent play of actors, with an interesting and strong plot that you want to review many times, but this is not “Three meters above the level of the sky” – a picture designed for the mass audience, so you should not expect something unusual and filled with deep meaning from him.
I really liked the title and it was a remake. I really liked the music, it went all the way to the inside. I really liked the appearance of the characters, especially Babi - a real excellent girl, not a beauty, but also not a scary, memorable face. I didn’t like the movie at all.
And, frankly, I was terribly saddened, because I am the most natural “last romantic”, and even cursed by everyone “Twilight” did not cause me such outright negative emotions, despite the stupidest dialogue and very mediocre acting. But “3 meters” promised to be a bright and colorful film about love, impregnated with tenderness, passion, bitterness and hope – just imagine how disappointed I felt when none of the listed there was not found!
A bad boy nicknamed Ache (Mario Casas) falls in love with a good girl Babi (Maria Valverde), and of course nothing worthwhile will come of it. And his friend Polo falls in love with her friend Katina. In principle, everything, and I have already prepared my handkerchief.
But I never saw love there. Heroes are all like a selection - absolutely inadequate and illogical, the whole film does nothing but freak out, beats everyone and ruins everything in its path, Babi turns out to be an ordinary spoiled hysteria, and secondary characters also sometimes behave like crazy. No, it is not love, it is not even passion, it is an ordinary youthful hobby, capricious and empty. How else to explain this stupid behavior, quarrels on any occasion, how to explain that a drugged guy hits his beloved girl in the face, that a girl abandons her lover and best friend after such a terrible tragedy? It’s a shame, because the filmmakers wanted to show something completely different.
The film is very twitchy, very ragged, it is like an unsuccessful film adaptation, an attempt to accommodate in 120 minutes all the power of a multi-page novel. Wait a minute, this is a remake of a film based on the novel by the Italian writer Federico Moccia. There is nothing to be surprised about.
I especially disliked the fact that the film does not reveal the theme of the relationship between Ache and his mother, and this is the main component of the novel, the explanation of his behavior and lifestyle. But the director (Fernando Gonzalez Molina) preferred to reduce everything, crumple and serve as a seasoning instead of the main course.
But I still needed a handkerchief. True, neither Ache, nor Babi, nor their “passionate love” has anything to do with it. I was struck by the story of Katina and Polo, friends of our main characters, although at first they did not seem particularly interesting characters, and their relationship caused me a skeptical grin and nothing more. And in the end, it was they who rose 3 meters above the level of the sky and dragged me along, it was their love that can be safely called love, it was their feelings that were real, and not provoked by the teenage desire to get the impossible and fix the bad. They are beautiful, these two, they accepted each other, they valued each other, and only because of them I could watch this movie.
The second part is no better.
And all this was praised and called almost the best film about a beautiful unearthly feeling! The last time I succumbed to provocation, ignoring common sense.
So, why is “Three meters” better to watch only (underline) avid lovers of everything related to relationships?
Baby. She's the main character. At the very beginning of the film, everything develops very nicely that you involuntarily tune in to some vanilla, but all of yourself obedient girl Babi for half an hour of the film turns into a licentious, hysterical girl. Somehow it does not smell of innocence from a girl when she repeatedly allows herself to stand next to an almost unfamiliar guy in one underwear. Together in the outerwear of Babi from the film smoothly flows the very beautiful love that was planned to see. Innocence suddenly returns when Babi and Ache dance in their house. How unpredictable!
Heh. There was no question until Ache fell in love with Babi. I missed the moment when it happened. He mocks, taunts, sleeps with some brunette, and then - boom! - already loves Babi. But what is good is that the character of the hero is spelled out well.
Katina. Here he is, the only person I like. She was wonderful, and it was about her love that I had to make a movie.
I do not recommend anyone to watch, the film is empty.

I can’t agree with the many rave reviews about this film, because, in my opinion, it is typical passing. The biggest plus can be considered the absence of vulgar vulgarity and sweetness, but these positive aspects do not make it less banal.
Despite the fact that the film is based on the novel of the same name Federico Moccia, it clearly loses to the previously released "Sorry for Love", which the writer directs. "Three meters above sky level" - a cover of another Italian version, but, however, it was the Spanish one that received large-scale recognition. Not to notice the similarity of "Three meters" and the film Moccia is very difficult, because many scenes are simply projected, changed only the characters and scenery. Such cinematic “rewright” cannot evoke approval, unlike, for example, organically written quotations and allusions. But there must be a unique basis for this. And so it turned out something like a school essay, written off from various manuals, diluted with a small fraction of their own thoughts, which are also not as original.
The emphasis is made on the exaggerated emotional contrast that accompanies the plot twists: slow and sometimes prolonged love scenes are replaced by sharp force majeure. But here too it was not without template: the predictability of actions, movements and words, sometimes going against logic, and causing bewilderment and boredom.
The musical accompaniment also does not carry any uniqueness - a meaningless background, except that Forever Young at least somehow correlates with the film, and the original in the performance of Sonic Youth is much brighter than the used cover.
Many lines are outlined and not brought to any meaningful end, for example, the difficult relationship of the protagonist with his relatives, which become the basis of the prologue. The same goes for secondary characters. Why some of them were introduced at all is unclear. A lady in a cafe, for example, trying to charm the heroine's father.
You can take a simple story, and make it something magical, and you can also from the complex of the plot maze with flashbacks, the desire for aesthetics (impressive views of Spain, for example), and in principle, not the worst actors, create a wild banality.
Drawing with a copier does not mean being an artist.
"3 meters above the level of the sky" - at first glance it may seem that this is another melodrama: a rich pai girl Babi (Maria Valverdi) falls in love with a mad hooligan Ache (Mario Casas), something more than just sympathy immediately flare between them, but both do not admit this for a long time, her parents are against, mainly their mother, and they have to go through much.
But it turned out to be not a simple American love story, it is many times different from similar pictures. The Spaniards were able to bring their own notes of passion, madness, brutality to this film, because this is the kind of love you dream of at 17. When, more than 17, can we ride motorcycles, fight with girls over a guy, fall in love to the point of unconsciousness, go against parents?
The film is filled with many beautiful scenes, which is only worth the scene in the club! It was amazing... goosebumps ran on the skin, I really wanted this moment to never end, so everything was so beautiful and tender, their first normal kiss, his strong embrace, and this song - "Dorian - La tormenta de arena" fell in love with himself forever! No less memorable was their first time in an abandoned house, for all its frankness, it was not an ounce of vulgarity, everything was very romantic and sensual.
Also, you can not ignore the beautiful landscapes, the sea, the magnificent view of Barcelona. I immediately wanted to visit Spain.
Even more pleased with the shooting style - the Spaniards managed to convey this incredible atmosphere of racing at the very beginning, surprisingly the spectacle turned out to be very spectacular and dynamic. No less spectacularly successful and scenes of fights, such a presentation will envy any American militant.
Special thanks to the Spaniards for giving us such wonderful actors, represented by Mario Casas and Maria Valverdi. Their game was more than flawless! It was hard not to believe in the genuine emotions of Mario when he suffered, cried, sincerely rejoiced and laughed. And his gaze, as he looked at Babi ... felt his great love, tenderness and affection for her.
The whole film I lived with the main characters, with them, laughed, rejoiced, angry, cried, survived a hurricane of passions. This is why he gets the highest score.
I would like to start with the fact that the film is wonderfully shot. Each episode of the film is not separated from the previous one and is chained to the next. To break away from viewing is very difficult, saturation with actions and a dynamic picture for drama, fascinating.
And when it comes to the movie.
The film is about how we live now, about the fact that we do not know what we want from ourselves and others? Someone is digging into the past, someone is fascinated trying to unravel the future, and someone is trying to hold onto someone else’s life. A generation of misty feelings, a generation lost in the labyrinths of their own heart - that's who we are! - tells us this film.
Everyone has their own way out and everyone has it only through pain and mistakes.
We all love and are jealous, rejoice and cry, but all of us are united by the mistakes we make, and then trying to correct, we make more mistakes.
