Russian cinema is not as hopeless as many people think.
What's new?
- I'm in love.
Well, that's good news!
- A schoolgirl. (c)
I decided to watch this film on the recommendation of a very important person for me, who has not disappointed in anything. He has unusual tastes and views on life, seasoned with sarcasm. It is not surprising that this film fell to my friend’s liking, I even saw it in one of the main characters.
It's a beautiful movie. Excellent shot, excellent atmosphere, for the first time in a long time I watched a movie and could not come off. The plot seems monotonous, at first glance, but breathtaking. All the characters were very liked, although among them there is not one purely positive: in each, as in life, there are both bad and good. In this film, people are not idealized, not forced to go through a bunch of stupid trials, as in typical Russian melodramas. Everything here is extremely realistic and life is shown as it really is. I was expecting a more dramatic ending. But miracles happen in our cruel world too, don't they?
I was surprised that there were negative reviews of this film. Thought... You can't say it's for everyone. Not everyone understands it, tastes it. For example, my positive classmates pye-girls it will be incomprehensible, to put it mildly. I think this movie should be watched in a special mood. At night, in mild melancholy. Knowing that you have problems and the characters in this film have problems too. In appearance - large-scale intractable, but it turned out - everything is much easier.
In general, a multi-faceted film, it can be watched and revised, discovering something new, recognizing your friends and acquaintances in the characters.
"Inadequate people" - that's another good quality Russian film. After such films, you begin to convince yourself that Russia can, when it does not expect, but then you watch the grand premieres, on the PR of which, they give almost the same amount that they spent on the budget, and return to the starting point of opinion that Russian films are full of shit. Director and screenwriter Roman Karimov, notice not some Armenians, but a Russian guy from the city of UFA, made a simple, good and interesting movie, which, according to the rating and reviews, many people liked, and I in particular. I watched it, of course, purely by accident, and thank all these accidents that visit my sometimes boring life.
In the lead roles Ilya Lyubimov, the guy known to me from the TV series "Don't be born beautiful" and no one and I also unknown Ingrid Olerinskaya, which I really liked in this film, she would be a great couple actor Keanu Reeves, she also very rarely smiles and her facial expressions are such that looking, you want to cry or write poems about unsuccessful love. This is a joke, and the movie is really interesting. Thirty-year-old Vitaly runs away from his problems and life discomfort to Moscow, where he hopes to find harmony in life, a good robot and meet interesting and quite adequate people, whom he so lacks in life. But as they say, it’s destiny! Vitaly in his first week in Moscow, already thinking about how to get out of here.
That's not the answer.
- No, that's the answer. It's just not what you want to hear.
His neighbor, a schoolgirl, Christina, who fell in love with him and also seeks understanding from people. Christine is not giving him the peace and quiet he needed. On the robot, the boss wants to drag Vitaly to bed, it turns out that there is no peace in the house, on the robot too, Vitaly is a full-fledged sucker. But everything changes when he realizes that they have a lot in common with Christina, and that he also begins to like her very much. To sum up, a new, wonderful dramatic comedy, which is very nice to watch.
"Inadequate people" Roman Karimov - chic in every sense of the movie. Next, there will be only praises, so that fans of domestic cinema will have to either read the arguments given here “for”, or... all right, flip through this text.
According to the plot, “nerd” and “nerd” (c) Vitaly ( Ilya Lyubimov) comes to Moscow, where he tries to start life from scratch. The reason for moving is the death of his beloved girl, the desire to understand himself and his life, for which he resorts to the help of a Moscow psychologist (Eugene Tsyganov). And all would be well, but in the next apartment lives a young and “inadequate” schoolgirl Christina (Ingrid Olerinskaya), at work he is waiting for a lustful and no less inadequate boss (Iulia Takshina), and the rest of the people around him can not be called normal – all with their cockroaches in their head. Someone has more, someone has less, and during the film our hero finds out which of them he has a cockroach incompatibility. He finds out it easily, cheerfully, with humor. For the last thanks to the director and screenwriter Karimov.
I can quote a lot of dialogue right now, and even those taken out of context will be great! And both those who described a specific humorous (or not so) situation, and those where near-philosophical topics are discussed.
The film does not let go throughout the viewing, and do not want to be distracted. After such tapes, you want to go to the movies, look at the screen with your mouth open, be surprised and leave the cinema happy and satisfied, and even better – stay and watch again. Speaking of which. Be sure to review in a few months - and to fix the dialogue in memory, and to look at a great acting. I would not like to say that someone played better and someone worse, because everyone gave everything (and it feels) to the fullest, but I was hooked by Olerinskaya’s game. I think it's a great debut.
In general, each person is just as abnormal as the one with whom he communicates, in other words, everyone is looking.
Having come across such a large number of positive reviews about “Inadequate People”, not to say much, but still was surprised. I can understand why a certain type of person admires this film, but the average viewer, I thought, had to be skeptical: a strange, improbable movie that claims to be a cult movie. Yes, yes, it seems that the creators of the picture decided that they shot something brilliant, at least so confidently we are presented with this creation: ha, a small budget, short terms of writing the script, uncomplicated cinematography - and here is a masterpiece! And other directors, fools, suffer, rewrite the script several times, spend the film on numerous takes, look for a suitable angle - in general, waste time. It turns out that you just need to bet on simplicity, on maximum relief, and the film will immediately stand out from a number of stamped tapes and attract interest. As people say, be simple and people will reach for you.
I’ll start with what I didn’t like the most and what immediately catches my eye. Since in this film, as I understood, the personalities of the characters and their inner experiences come to the fore, and the actions come to the second, then I will begin with the characters.
Christina (Ingrid Olerinskaya) is the apotheosis of strangeness and stupidity. She complains that everyone is degenerate, despite the fact that she is not far from them: I will keep silent about the fact that the girl abuses smoking and alcohol – this is a common thing among ape-like representatives of young people, but the fact that she is elementary does not know how to behave in society, just annoying. It's like a thirteen-year-old hummock fighting hormones, not a seventeen-year-old mare that's about to become a student! Has she not been taught over the years that it is sometimes necessary to contain the rushing stream of mud? I don’t mean to say that you need to be a weak-willed rag, but you still need to consider that you live in society. Cristina, speaking about her conflicts, blames everyone and everything, and apparently does not even think that many problems could have been avoided if she managed to close her mouth in time. I did not like her way of constantly walking with half-lowered eyelids and stretching words, depriving them of any emotional coloring. I do not know whether this is the idea of the director, or the signature feature of the actress herself; in any case, this indifferent, “fuckish” facial expression with occasional flashes of vague feelings does not impress. Honestly, I really wanted to hit her on the head to return meaning to the extinct look.
Another “inadequate person” is Vitaly (Ilya Lyubimov), whose realism is weakly believed, his history and contradictory character are too banal. That's who knows how to restrain feelings, even sometimes! But this hero did not arouse sympathy and sympathy for me either: of course, he survived the tragedy, but instead of living fully or, if there is no desire and strength, not living at all, he hovered in some intermediate state. I never understood what this man wants: to overcome his anger and pain, or, conversely, to throw them out with impunity. Apparently, after all, the second, because he remains with Christina, the only person with whom he can show his nature as a capricious teenager.
From other heroes do not even want to talk, they are absurdly caricatured, even sickening. The actors have no game (probably, everyone took a master class at Olerinskaya). It seemed that everyone was insanely bored, and everyone was frankly hacking. Maybe I don't understand, though. Is this a new word in modern cinema? In this case, only very “advanced” viewers can appreciate it. I, who saw the great actors of the last century, do not understand what is amazing in the fact that the whole film see the same indifferent faces. This is strange, because the tape involves quite popular actors who can play.
Humor, I think, is understandable. The jokes are old and as bland as the acting. I heard half of them in elementary school.
And most importantly, what does this work teach? That you have to be yourself and you have a soul mate? Or the ability to communicate with people, to resolve conflicts? Doubtful. After watching you are in a slight bewilderment, you try to find some meaning in what you see, because it can not be so stupid and banal!
As a result, the film may seem interesting not very educated people or the so-called informals, who are close views on the lives of the characters of the picture. I saw nothing original here, everything resembles a cheap American film, a lot of inconsistencies in the plot.
3 out of 10
I saw it. And now you, those who dare to read all this, will have to familiarize yourself with my personal opinion, which is not imposed on anyone. Goddamn it, the movie hit me as hard as it's been a long time. Even thoughts are confused, I don’t know where to start. Because it's a great script, amazing actors? Maybe. Because it is. The actors embodied their characters on the screen so fully and in detail that the film seems absolutely whole, rich. And in the scenario, everyone will find something native to the pain in the heart, familiar to the grinding of teeth. And, God, I like the two main characters. Remembering yesterday's program "Closed Screening", where many came at the film in terms of the fact that life is not like this, that schoolgirls can not be so sarcastic and smart. People, what country do you live in? What world? Kids like that are the heroes of our time. They are tired of what surrounds them. They are tired of waiting for certain movements and actions from them. The mother of the main character was 100% sure that her daughter was a drug addict. And then these young people (consider, I am not talking about friends of Christina, but about people like herself) have an understanding that they absolutely do not need to strain, do anything. They'll be misunderstood anyway. Adults have their own view of them, and this view can not shake anything. Sometimes, of course, they begin to argue, argue with loved ones, who continue to misunderstand them simply because it is impossible to keep it in yourself all the time. Think of Hughes' Breakfast Club. The same kids with the same problems. Remember their letter at the end. They also tell adults that you have already decided for us who we really are. And now, in fact, nothing has changed. Children just grew older, they just gave up on adults, only sometimes allowing themselves to get involved in unnecessary arguments for their rights, ideas and dreams. What are your dreams? Finding the oligarch's lover, as Christine claimed? This is just a cliché that modern society expects from a girl. Yes, we do not dream of space, of a five-year plan in three years, of a bright future. What bright future? Don't be ridiculous. The only thing we see is the light from the train at the end of the tunnel. But all of us, no matter how old we are, no matter who we are, every person dreams of love and understanding. About the notorious warmth of the soul, which in our harsh time has become a myth that requires refutation. The film shows us something completely different. Screw public opinion. That love and warmth is there. You just need to find the right person. This is what happens to the two main characters in the film. They met at the exact moment of their lives, when they were not only needed by each other, but when they could allow someone Inadequate to enter their inner world, knowing that this someone will not trample on your I, will not laugh, but will only understand you, recognize your reflection in you. And in their truthful attitude to the world, Vitalik and Christina, in my opinion, look just the most adequate people. They act exactly as they see fit, without deceiving themselves and others. “Inadequate People” is a very good, smart and kind movie. It is worth watching at least in order to understand: Do not be afraid to be inadequate in the eyes of “normal” people. You just need to be yourself, because always near, sooner or later, will appear the same as you, Inadequate. I want to say a huge thank you to Roman Karimov for such an amazing, thought-provoking and feeling film. Thank you to all the actors, especially Ilya Lyubimov and Ingrid Olerinskaya, for decorating and bringing to life a wonderful script with their talented performance. 10 out of 10 Because I got food for thought and answers to questions. Thank you for answering the question of happiness. I've been waiting for him all my life. Original
