Imagine that you got on a plane to fly somewhere: comfortable cabin, cute, smiling crew – in general, everything assumes a pleasant trip. And the plane does not take off, everything goes on the airfield, and after 1 hour 42 minutes - all are dropped off - like: "Everybody, flew in." So this film: it seems that everything is stylish and interesting begins, but development is not. The director (aka screenwriter), with his child contacts insecurely, as if he promoted a beautiful girl for sex, brought home, and then panicked and does not know what to do with her and why he started it all.
Some people will say it’s just a style like this: chamber, calm, involves a lot of dialogue. Dialogue - maybe: there are some pretty interesting, some jokes. But that's not enough. It seems that the director gave each actor in large strokes of the type: “you are a negative, quarrel with your mother”, “you are like Urgant”, “you are a psychologist – figure out how to play yourself, a book on you, we advertise it in the film – read”, “you are an aggressive dissatisfied boss”, “you are just dissatisfied”, and so on, and the actors, without penetrating and not feeling the development of characters – played types without entering the image. Not all of them, of course, but most of them. Actually, nothing clear, the author could not offer them. It feels like watching a set of scenes of varying degrees of originality, attracted by necessity.
To give realism, the author adds to the characterization of almost every character a bold trait of negativity - such as, if aggressive and malicious, then vital. And the fact that some scenes look frankly moronic (in the film this word is often used) – the author does not care. For example, the scene when the cashier of the store picks on the banknotes – what is it? Like, to show where the main character aggression came from - weak and stupid.
In general, with logic and vitality in the film is weak: in theory, the main character should suffer for his girlfriend, sitting in prison. I will not tell you why, so as not to spoil.
Despite some individually interesting and original scenes, you get tired of the film as a whole. In the end, it's hard to wait until this snot chewing is over. Nothing and no one is hooking. I don't believe it! You come to the conclusion that the author, to hide the lack of life and professional experience and the inability to create an adequate reality story, therefore, calls it “Inadequate people”.

The notorious ' our cinema' can be divided into mikhalkovo-bondarchuk epics with a claim, glamorous-cocaine opuses in the style ' duhless' and everything ' the rest'.. Everything that is without a billion-dollar budget, without tardy cash faces, without immense posters. ' Inadequate people' - a film from the latter category, and it is beautiful!
. Lost and slightly alcoholic Vitaly, struggling to be normal. Sharp on the tongue and problematic, like all teenagers, Christina. 'Nothing-in-life-not-understanding' and in general, a wooden waist, Christina's mother. And also a dissatisfied boss with excessive libido and excessive testosterone, a tedious-denied psychologist and others. All their manifestations only seem inadequate, but in fact, they are just living people. Live, real-life! After all, from the point of view of modern psychiatry, there are no “normal” people in the world. . .
No polished plastic dialogue, primitive-grade humor or squeezing feelings from the viewer. The characters in the film communicate and interact like we all do. Sometimes it's not right, sometimes it's not Turgenev. In general, as live, not as cinematic. That's why I want to watch them, empathize with them. And as a nice bonus - intellectual, but everyday humor!
Special thanks to Ilya Lyubimov and Ingrid Olerinskaya. One cannot help falling in love with such Vitaly. It is impossible to resist the love of such Christina.
My resume: one of the best films of recent years! For everyone who loves blockbusters. .
Only the lazy did not swear at the Russian cinema. What determines the number of quality films per capita at least a year is not clear. It seems that the country is huge, there should be not a few talents, both actors and directors. And, as the budget shows ' Inadequate People' - for adequate money, you can still make a decent film. There would be a wish.
And everything turned around: well-chosen actors, played their characters so that they became almost native, well-written dialogues with really funny jokes, not sucked out of a finger, but those that are born in ordinary life suddenly and make you laugh to tears. The star and stronghold of the film was young Ingrid Olerinskaya. Karimov has an eye-diamond: the combination of a cute face and the irrepressible character of the main character is bribed and conquered. Ilya Lyubimov is also very good in the image of a restrained middle-aged man with a big heart and loose nerves. Well, and bright secondary characters: Christina’s mother, obviously herself with strange things, pig relatives, which many have, stupid classmates, an unsatisfied best friend, a boyfriend with such vocabulary and humor jokes that you sometimes want to write him down. And here it is already difficult to know who is normal, and who is still a little crazy. And anyway, who said that being 'inadequate person' is bad? It’s a lot of fun, especially when you meet your second pair.
I got on a thematic selection of cable Russian cinema channel dedicated to Holloween. From the point of view of formal signs, it is difficult to imagine a better choice. And even from the point of view of the informal, they also got into the topic.
"Inadequate people" belongs to a small number of domestic films that do not mind reviewing. I like the movie. Although I like to say it, it is probably not right. It has a moment of recognizing yourself, your own reactions, fears, fears. Although everything is thinly camouflaged by the “inadequacy” of what is happening. And recognition breeds empathy. That's why this movie seems close. So I'm not changing the channel.
This movie is about our forcedly inadequate society of unhappy people who have lost or never found their happiness. And conditional inadequacy, which looks more like self-defense, has become our first nature. We really are boors with a fine mental organization.
I have not lived in the post-Soviet space for 2 years, and when watching this film, the strange behavior of absolutely all the characters of the film immediately struck me. They seem to be all the same: pessimists, constantly defend themselves, even if they are not attacked, sprinkle malicious sarcastic comments, insist on something, even if the other does not want it, try to defend their point of view militarily, at all costs.
I was wondering, are these Muscovites? Or what exactly did the director want to show? And which of these people is inadequate? All? They were all the same in style.
So I wanted to turn off the movie in the first minutes, but then I decided to watch it for fun.
By the end, I was used to this behavior, and it became less annoying. But I wouldn’t want to live in such a society. Muscovites, is this normal for you? I've never been to Moscow.
It is interesting to see how girls fight for men. I in Europe constantly explain why our girls dress so beautifully, and men do not follow themselves, and are much more passive than women.
Laughed at the unhappy blonde who has a husband, mother-in-law and a child she doesn't love. Hate and anger are the only things she does instead of trying to change things proactively. Hopefully the next generation will be wiser.
And so the film is pleasantly shot, the main actors play well, watched until the end.
Unfortunately, I am not sure of anything in this world except that we will all die sooner or later.
Well, let’s start with the fact that the film hooked me with the title, I just consider myself to be such people: inadequate! I'm sure you all think that about your person.
A film about how people go out of their way to become better, in general psychologists and books about self-improvement in our course and great honor! Only here and I for example, these books do not believe and as a result it turned out the main character too, and they could not help him!
The girl fell in love with her neighbor. The complicated teenager allegedly, as her mother said throughout the film, ended up being a very intelligent and purposeful person! Single mothers have such a trait, all their mistakes of the past pour on their innocent children, dig into their lives, look for tricks, try to protect them from their own mistakes of the past... it’s a pity that she did not notice what a wonderful daughter she really has!
The plot may and the standard "Sorry for love" reminded something, only here the snot is not all somehow vital, very vital!
I like the cast! I can say that I am extremely rarely interested in Russian cinema and, apart from Yevgeny Tsyganov, I have never seen anyone before, and I did not think that the actor of the series Ilya Lyubimov would be able to surprise me (I learned about what he was doing in TV series after watching him decide to look at his roles). If you understand the special professionalism they did not show, and the film is not aimed at it. Only here when watching a pleasant feeling of calm and rest of the brain, you just get into this plot yourself and he drags you in, but what is there, everyone will find in this film something of their own that happened to him once.
Bottom line: don’t expect much, but if you’re looking for a fun and easy movie for the evening, you’re on the right track! Enjoy... and as the main character said “take every moment, take every chance...”

The director is only 26 years old and this film, I believe, is his full-length debut. Who won at the festivals at once 500 awards and made a star of cinema “girl from the street” Ingrid Olerinskaya.
There is definitely something in this movie. Sometimes it’s very funny, sometimes it’s strange, plus all the characters talk like they’re completely stoned. Many believe that this is the style of the picture and its highlight. Well, maybe. It's not good or bad, just weird and a little unusual. So — drooling enthusiasm about “Inadequate people” I don’t understand what to think about here — also ... over the fact that all of us — to some extent inadequate in the eyes of others? Me too, Newton's binomy. But the people are beautiful, play well, the plot is funny. As they say, what else do you want? Take a look and rejoice.
It's your mistake that you're always sure of everything, and I'm only sure we'll all die someday. It is strange to begin the story with the words of Christina, who lives very impulsively and selfishly.
The film is grotesque in nature. Or the viewer is so dull that he cannot distinguish a real story from a fictional one. The picture leaves behind something positive, others negative, and this is already an excellent indicator in art.
To open the soul of the heroes with a minimum of action, you also need to be able to. Immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the film, close your eyes, relax, think about what is around you, listen to your heart, then think about your loved one.
The film has global problems, there are problems of ordinary people, the second storyline. Just click on the play button and enjoy it.
Inadequate People is one of the most truly good and quality Russian films. I noticed him a long time ago, I see a good assessment, and now I finally looked at him. I will say this: it was from the first 10 minutes that I immersed myself in the film and realized that I would absolutely love it.
Inadequate people is a film about people, their problems, a film about how in such an “inadequate” society to learn to restrain their bad character traits, such as anger, anger, indifference. There is something special about this film, there are also semantic phrases and expressions. This picture makes it clear that it is necessary to find a kindred soul, which is sure to be found, to find “your” native, close in character person. Such a person can be anyone, and the first impression of a person is mostly deceptive. After all, each person has his own problems in life and the reasons why he behaves this way. I really liked the way the main actors played. Just with high clarity and expressiveness. The music in the film was appropriate, and the jokes were natural, which became funny thanks to the actors. It's perfect! Bravo! And the ending made me smile.
So if we kiss, it won't be right?
- Well, for ordinary people, yes. If you and I weren't you or me, decent people, they wouldn't do that, but in our circumstances. .
- but you and I are inadequate people.
I advise everyone to watch this movie, you should like it.
It is better to be inadequate than someone you are not.
While describing the main people involved in this film, the widespread participation of Roman Karimov caught the eye. This often causes the feeling that the person is “in every barrel of the plug”, but not in this case. In our situation, it seems that Roman Karimov was sensitive to ensure that the idea of the film was not violated, to convey and convey to the viewer all that he wanted in a pristine, virgin form, as much as possible in our world.
The movie is a movie. For what purpose are films made? Yes, different goals people pursue, depending on the “intestines”. So, the “inside” of the creators of this film is apparently so wounded and hurt that it no longer rots, it broke through, as a long aching boil on the body, as a result of filming this film and poured out, bringing relief to all. It is a relief to the creator that he has finally been able to say in this film all the things he has been silent about for so long. The best part is that there is nothing in this film that disgusts me as a viewer.
I agree that throughout the film, the viewer is in some tension, because everyone approximately knows and imagines how this story may end. But even here we have a pleasant surprise. The miracle that gives us all faith and hope that true love will overcome all obstacles, even the inadequacy of its “carriers”.
I spent many years trying to figure out where and where I was wrong, what I did wrong or didn’t do in my life. I tried for many years to be right, then I decided to stop being right. As a result, it turned out that you do not have to be right or wrong. You just have to be yourself. I heard these words many times, and when I heard them, I thought I understood them. It's like you're hearing a phrase made entirely of homonyms. You think that you fully understand what we are talking about, but as a result it turns out that the meaning is completely different.
The most important condition for "healing" and coming to "happiness" is to love very sincerely and purely and allow yourself to admit it, at least to yourself. Let yourself be yourself, whoever you are. Realize that you are not perfect like everyone else, but you just need to stop pandering to others and try to be someone you are not. It is necessary to clear oneself of these clichés that drinking alleviates suffering or its complete exclusion is the key to happiness. Happiness is just allowing yourself to be yourself and always remembering it, and then there will be a person who wants to be with you and who you want to be with, and neither of you will care about anything else but this desire to be together.

The film is essentially about all of us. Inadequacy is a subjective concept, often we meet people who seem strange to us, not like everyone else, and for someone such a strange person can be each of us.
Each of the characters of “Inadequate People” stands out, has something that makes him seem strange to another. Unbalanced Vitalik, Christina, her ever-teaching mother, sexually concerned boss Marina, amoeba psychologist Pavel Viktorovich, who hates her family Svetlana, rude Arthur ...
Heroes are recognizable and perhaps even wandering around somewhere nearby. Maybe you can recognize yourself.
The story shown in the film is attractive for its brilliant, witty dialogues, character development, manner of execution. All the actors perfectly coped with their roles, there is nothing to complain about, and I do not want to do this. Ilya Lyubmov, Yevgeny Tsyganov, Yulia Takshina managed to create such “convex”, “juicy” heroes that they will be remembered for a long time. Ingrid Olerinskaya in general surprisingly got used to the image of a teenager with a “fish” facial expression, but a mobile psyche, able to be rude, but able to love.
For me, Inadequate People is a time-tested film. For the first time I watched it quite a long time ago, I think, in the “Closed Show”, then the second time – more carefully. I watched it for the third time and I was still interested. I don’t know why, but I just wanted to see it!
A film that lifts the mood, a film about us, about our problems, about the difficulties of relating ourselves to the people around us, and about the fact that for every inadequate person there is another, even more inadequate, with whom there is something to talk.

The film “Inadequate People” is a good representative of decent (in the cinematic sense) domestic cinema.
The story of a middle-aged man with cockroaches in his head, problems in life and a difficult past. Acquaintance with a “difficult” teenager from a semi-rich family adds color and results in the plot.
The movie's good! Even without thinking about some deep meaning, you want to see it and, indeed, it looks to the end.
The main character named Vitaly is a witty but closed-minded translator who moved to Moscow. He gets a job, moves into an apartment and tries to forget or understand what is happening to him. His day starts at 7:03 and ends with a book in hand.
The main character is Christina. She is 17, a difficult relationship with her mother, personal problems and a complete lack of understanding of her place in life.
Such films, as close as possible to life, without shots, investigations, superheroes and mysterious islands - the best that can be observed in our cinema. The characters are natural, without foreign plaque and situation look as true as possible. Fans of interesting domestic stories in the cinema - must watch!

A clear example of the fact that Russian cinema lives and has promising ways of development is “Inadequate People”. Honest, intelligent and in a good way naive movie turned out Roman Karimov, who considers the painful love question through the prism of psychology and this extremely animates, it would seem, another “soap” fairy tale.
First, we need to note a great scenario. Sometimes there is a feeling that there is not a single unnecessary word, character or plot twist in the film. For such texts in Hollywood give Oscar statuettes. Several “juicy” quotes plunge into the hearts and minds of the audience like a knife in the butter.
Secondly, the “people” are imbued with an unprecedentedly healthy mood, I want to shake hands with the consulting psychologist of the picture. Strong main characters are really role models and cause respect and admiration.
Of course, it matches its characters and cast. The creative range of artists perfectly conveys emotional changes in the characters. It is nice to look at sober and interesting people from the outside, in terms of adequacy they have something to learn.
“Inadequate people” will significantly boost your mood and give you a fountain of exhilarating optimism, if you can really relax and agree to get some good lessons. A very strong Russian film.
Of course, one can feel the influence of European and American romantic comedies on the film creation of Roman Karimov. I feel it. But it is like feeling an American orange in Russian cottage cheese - does not spoil, but quite the opposite - gives freshness, juiciness, while the main saturation still comes from cottage cheese, not from an orange. Sorry about the groceries, it's just a huge bumblebee flew into the kitchen today and I had to sit in the room for half a day. By the way, thanks to the bumblebee, I watched “Inadequate People”.
So, you can see all these European details in the film, such as the fact that the characters of the film celebrate Halloween. Yes, in KVN joked that in Russia everyone knows how to celebrate Halloween, and someone would say how to celebrate the day of harmony and reconciliation. Or that the hero Vitaly works in some fashionable women's magazine, where even garbage must be put in different bins. Plus, a psychologist with a couch at hand, as well as a heroine who, according to the example of the brave liberated youth of American comedies, also does not mind bringing something in the style of sado-maso into her life. All this catches your eye. Not as dust, but as fresh water in the morning. This is a paradox.
What saves the situation is the main character performed by Ilya Lyubimov. Come on, bitch. Funny, with a sense of humor, even witty. A witty person somehow disposes of himself. That's the screen Vitalik somehow arranged me. The second is the humor in the movie. Dialogue: What happened to your hand? - I had an accident. - Is she bothering you? - Hand? No, Christina, I was very happy. Yeah, yeah, I like that kind of humor sometimes. Funny, that's the main thing.
Director Roman Karimov, of course, well done. At such a young age, he created his first film so well. Good for you. The scenario, though simple, is easy and positive. And in general, the movie came out easy. I even wanted it not to end any longer, it hurts the characters in it some pretty. Even Christina with her terrible transitional age is still pretty. This movie was worth watching.
The perpetual debates about right and wrong, reasonable and quirky, appropriate and inappropriate usually lead to each of the arguers remaining with his opinion, completely denying the opposite point of view. An amazing exception is when two completely different people find a common language in their manifestations and disputes. It is then that the attraction arises to hear and understand the other person. At these moments, you can understand how close people are to each other in spirit, even if they share many things, including a large age difference.
"Inadequate People" is a story about loneliness, change and reassessment of their place in the sun. In the frame, the main character is calm, boring, and it seems that he is absolutely inadequate in the manifestation of his feelings and emotions. In fact, it is a mask, a diligent and deliberate desire to impersonate someone else, change your place of residence, change your social circle, lifestyle and it is better if everyone leaves him alone. Only, there is one BUT, his young neighbor, a 17-year-old attractive girl with a clearly sharpened sense of youthful maximalism, and strives to attract the attention of a mysterious and gloomy newcomer.
Against the background of all that the viewer will feel in recent years Russian filmmakers, the film looks very fresh and, oddly enough, quite adequate.
To say that "Inadequate people" innovative cinema is impossible, but to call original quite reasonable. Perhaps there was a lack of dynamics and development, the film is overloaded with dialogue, most of which are spelled out with considerable irony, and this is rather a plus. A controversial film about difficult relationships between people, problems of personality formation, crisis in relationships and self-flagellation.
Often, when watching a movie about love, the question arises: why he (she) loved him (her). Often history seems to unfold behind us, revealing only hints and elements. As for the film 'Inadequate People' Almost for the first time in my life, it became clear to me what exactly motivates the characters when they fall in love on the screen: what actions, words, views, actions, hints attract the attention of the opposite sex. At what point does love begin, not sympathy? And where is the difference between love and physical attraction (it is nice that in the film there is not even a hint of vulgarity, pedophilia on his part, and the main character does not look like a typical nymphet).
I did not expect such an Art from Russian cinema, I think, like many; a new high-quality shooting (just Chic), to the details of a thoughtful script (heroes, characters, words, details, mugs, cups and books on the shelves), smoothness, brightness and accuracy.
Game. The game made me wonder, because neither I. Lyubimov nor Y. Takshin in such roles (with such characters) personally I did not expect to see. But we did more than that. Ingrid Olerinskaya is just wonderful - worth all the praise that she managed to collect during her short career.
And once again I would like to note the work of the operator and director - this is the work that I personally have been waiting for so long from Russian cinema!

I’ve heard a lot about him and finally got my hands on him. I myself am a big fan of Russian cinema and therefore I give a chance to new films, despite the sad experience of watching The Best Films, Love Carrots, etc.
Get to the point.
What I liked:
The storyline does not shine originality and sophistication, but.. The story is complete, complete. History for the hundredth time tells how important it is in this life to find yourself, and most importantly to understand, forgive and... accept. And whatever you are, there is a person in this world who is... There are no complaints - modestly, but with taste.
What I didn't like:
The humor in the film is very weak - almost nothing of its own - all the dialogues are replete with anecdotes and "bayans" collected from all over the Runet.
The main characters of the film are similar to the stereotypes that escaped from the diary of an eighth-grader: a super man and a schoolgirl who hides an endlessly rich inner world behind her cynicism and sarcasm. Characters are very idealized and therefore become unnatural and cause rejection. Scarce characters are not saved by mediocre acting. Of all the characters, the exception is that Arthur is the one who is rude, then jokes, who sometimes interferes, then helps. The only character that resembles a real person with feelings and emotions.
Diagnosis:
All fans of the Twilight saga must watch - this film uses all the same techniques (the same hypertrophied characters) only with other images - easier to perceive and thus less digestible. Instead of the best vampire in the world, he is the best man in the world. Instead of the most ordinary schoolgirl ... er, another very ordinary schoolgirl.

For some reason, I always listen to Gordon’s opinion, whether I agree with him or not. In addition, it is always very interesting to know the opinion of others about the picture, about which you have formed your own opinion. Therefore, to watch "Closed Show" for me is always a kind of intellectual food for thought, from which I also enjoy. No, really! Where else would so many different intelligent people from different fields gather, who would so zealously and deeply "eat" into the essence of the film?
And now, having listened to other interesting opinions that would never have occurred to me (just everyone has their own), I am in some confusion. The baggage of your impressions will be burdened by strangers. But still, no matter how confused I am by other conclusions, I am still, thank God, able to make my own.
And my word is simple: the film is excellent. It has what people call the highlight. No matter how simple the story is, the main thing is that submission. And here she is just at the height: dialogues, absolutely stunning in their humor, meaning, intonation; acters all play life, do not even play, relaxed, and they seem to be secretly filmed during the break of shooting; shot it is very good and does not look like a debutante. Youth and quiet rebellion of the director Roman Karimov play into the hands here. Some situations are boldly and playfully served. In general, I am very glad that there are such good young directors as Karimov in Russia. They are the future of cinema. It is very important that they develop their talent.
You got a wife? Lover? A girl?
- I don't think I've seen it.
- Are you masturbating?
- I do sports.
- Since when is this sport?
As for the actors, great. As I said. Ilya Lyubimov, familiar to me by (sorry, Lord) the series "Don't be born beautiful", here is equally controversial, although here he is rather a positive character. He played interestingly and unevenly. Ingred Olerinskaya inspired sympathy, yes. Her character turned out to be ironic, sweet and sincere. But the main thing is still humor, through the prism of which she perceived the world. Favourite Eugene Tsyganov, although not the reason for viewing, very much liked here (and how else?). It turned out to be an excellent psychologist. Yulia Takshina in comedic terms is really very talented - recalls the same series "Don't be born beautiful", where she was a secretary. And here, as a boss and a sadomasochist, harassing her subordinate, she looked both comical and sad at the same time.
Is there a doctor here?
- Where's Edik?
- Not Edik, but a doctor!
- And Edik is a physician.
The story itself, as stated about inadequate people, seemed to me very adequate. Love taken by the center of the story could not me, a simple romantic girl, not like his vitality and independence in the cinema. Heroes who boldly go forward, ready to go against public opinion, armed only with their bright feeling, cannot but hook. Are they inadequate in that? This world is inadequate. The kind of world that's gonna get in their way. Therefore, there are so many domestic conflict situations in the film that draw attention to our modern society. It's true that we get nervous, we get rough, we act like pigs somewhere. It's all shown. But how easy it's served! Just as easily was raised the serious problem of the disease in the film “Closed spaces” and just as light and atmospheric I remember the film “Walk”. And this film is one of them – a number of very good Russian films. Those films that you want to review and for which you are not ashamed.
Is Christina bothering you? She's rude, squabbling. Family dinner. I did a scuffle. I’ve been with teachers with everyone... It’s not far from the same thing.
Overall, "Inadequate People" gave me a wonderful evening. This is a subtle, ironic and light film about the important. And there's a lot of that. But most importantly, each determines this important for himself. This movie is like a piece of life. Nothing in life matters, right?
10 out of 10
I really liked this movie. It is light, original and in a good way inadequate. With real, but boring characters, with good humor. And the actors are really good. I love Gypsy even on the Walk, but here he even surprised (with all the secondary role) - well, like a psychotherapist, manners, tone of voice, everything is perfect. And with glasses and this unshavenness, it incredibly reminds me of my friend of this profession:
But something went wrong. It went something corny and melodramatic. Though I wanted to. How subtly and consistently the emergence of a connection between the main characters loomed, and how banal everything came out in the end. Despite the fact that this whole waffle thing is very cute and adequate to the film. Something was missing. Even though you start wanting this finale, it doesn’t satisfy you. It's just too adequate for a claim for inadequacy.
This is especially true where the movie ends: the car. The main character behind the wheel is drunk. With a girl. I was expecting some kind of tragedy. Or a hint of tragedy. But there had to be something else to make sure the film didn't deflate in the end.
But at the same time, he is really good. Instills faith in domestic cinema – it turns out that we can shoot not only high art (like Zvyagintsev’s films – I love it myself, but, you will agree, not for a wide audience) or kind, but predictable and similar to each other New Year’s movies (Christmas, Tariffs and other...), but also something quite massive and at the same time quite original.
An inexpensive atmospheric melodrama on the topic of communication between a high school student and a convinced loner is valuable with a correctly chosen intonation - restrained, slightly ironic in relation to both the characters and their behavior. The creators managed to maintain an even narrative tone, make a sketch of time, quite friendly and softened. As in "Chapito Show," there is no violence in the film. Comedy overtones are not quite smooth - in any case, the simple image of the lustful boss performed by a very fat Takshina is very different from other characters. I’m not sure that without the character’s melodramatic death line, it would be impossible to do. The two central actors, together with the performers of the roles of young people, played smoothly, well – I don’t know if the budget features caused the casting, but it’s nice that the film without Khabensky and (for example) Marina Alexandrova. In many ways, the success of such films is based on the success / failure to create the chemistry and magnetism of two lovers. In Inadequate People, I did not catch any special chemistry between the characters, and the film is very successful.
And of course, the success of the film is due to the interest of eighty percent of the work of Roman Kerimov, who acted as the author of a juicy, brilliant dialogues, a mature script, as well as as a director. Given the age of Kerimov, it is necessary to note: a large, sensitive to the word and intonation, nervous and with a sense of humor, the author appears. For all the charm and “pleasure” of “Inadequate People”, the film is a simple trinket that can occupy the evening, but the potential of the author is huge. Even on the basis of this film alone, I would without hesitation teach him to shoot “Geographer” according to Ivanov with the right to complete the casting update (but save the author’s script, of course).

How to treat yourself and people, or practical psychology for every day
The film “Inadequate People” is surprising at least by the fact that it is the very rare type of modern Russian cinema, about which almost every viewer who watched it responds with great warmth. It is symptomatic that this is not a large-scale historical or fantastic blockbuster, and not going in all senses a comedy with the stars of the first television magnitude in the lead roles - on the contrary, the movie is shot for three pennies by a novice director, and the names of actors from those that are not on hearing. At the same time, the film does not hit another extreme beloved by domestic cinema - the emphasized festival art-house.
Director Roman Karimov (who also acted here as a screenwriter, editor and composer) was able to make a film about ordinary people and for ordinary people. Here are middle-aged Vitalik - he came to Moscow from Serpukhov and got a job in the editorial office of a fashion magazine. In the evenings, he reads a book by the popular psychologist Kozlov and cynically tries to be good. Here is his neighbor – high school student Christina, who cannot stand her relatives and does not really understand what she wants from life. Surrounded by a panopticum of inadequate people of all shapes and colors. Perhaps, that is quite adequate in the cinema and there is no – just like in life. Well, the main characters, realizing at least their inadequacy, become an order of magnitude more sane. Perhaps they are attracted to each other.
Some define the film genre as comedy, others as drama. In any case, the debut picture of Roman Karimov is unlikely to pull on a serious and profound masterpiece – it seems to them, however, and does not try. The film is ready to offer the viewer enough reasons to get sincere pleasure from watching: a smart script, witty dialogue and untight play of the actors.

I came across this film completely by accident, but I never regretted the time spent. The film was unusually not stupid, fascinating and sometimes even deep.
To begin with, the film is dialogue. The main thing here is to listen and hear the characters of the film. As the story progresses, we see many different characters. I am sure that many viewers, if they did not recognize themselves, then internally identified themselves with some heroes. Vitaly, with lost faith in himself, who is trying to start from scratch and survive in the crazy rhythm of Moscow. Cristina is a young girl with “suscitations” of youthful maximalism, who, like many at her age, believes that she knows everything about life. Predator Marina, psychologist Kozlov, dissatisfied with the life of Light, single mother Julia, complex teenagers Arthur and Nina... Some of us are like ourselves, some of whom we know personally or just met.
With some phrases you can disagree, over some just grin, maybe you hear something new, or maybe hear in the film some of your thoughts. In any case, this movie is “food for the mind”. There is also humor, with a touch of sarcasm, which is very appropriate.
It is human nature to make mistakes. We learn from them no matter what we say, and life is the best teacher. You always have to try to move forward. Not to be afraid, somewhere to take risks, somewhere to be able to forgive yourself, somewhere to be able to encourage. It is better to do and regret than to regret inaction.
It is also worth noting that the picture to a young and inexperienced director got very famous young actors. And the fact that they are in this movie also adds to the charm of the film. Many, for example, Ilya Lyubimov is remembered exclusively for his role in “Don’t be born beautiful” or “Diaries of Dr. Zaitseva”. Believe me, here he is different from his serial characters. And, of course, it is worth noting Ingrid Olerinskaya. I think this girl we will see on screens and TV screens and in a wide format. I wish.
I remember hearing that some people think Olerinskaya’s character is too unreal. No young girl can be so smart, calculating and fair in her years. But it seems to me that in the modern world, a person develops internally and spiritually faster than is commonly believed. I've met people like that myself. I cannot completely agree with this comment.
I suggest you watch this debut picture of Roman Karimov. I think it will not leave you indifferent and indifferent. You will find something in it.
Without further ado, immediately and directly: the best Russian film I’ve seen recently. It's not enough for you to rush to watch it? Then a little more detail.
In the center of the plot at first glance, a quiet and calm office worker Vitaly, who, however, does not have such a cloudless past as it may seem, and Christina is his schoolmate, cynical to unimaginable limits, constantly quarreling with her mother and other relatives. At first glance, for their friends, they are the same “inadequate people”, but it turns out that everyone else has enough skeletons in the closet and cockroaches in the head.
Ilya Lyubimov and Ingrid Olerinskaya are just good. No pathos and overplay - everything is very cool. By the way, Ingrid’s first role in the movie, despite the fact that she did not finish anything theatrical, but studied herself calmly at the geofactory. That's what talent means. Supporting actors also made very memorable characters: Vitalik’s boss, his psychologist friend, Christina’s friend.
And it is impossible not to mention the dialogue – a film of this genre, where they are allocated 90% of the time, it is not easy to keep the interest of the viewer throughout the viewing, but Roman Karimov, who acted as a screenwriter and as a director, coped with his tasks for all 100. If the film was not 2 hours, but 4 hours, it would still be interesting to look at the characters and listen to them.
Such wonderful films as “Inadequate People” are now difficult to find in the general dump of everything that is filmed in Russia, which makes them even more valuable. Don’t waste your time watching this picture. It's worth it.
For a long time I could not understand what was wrong with this film, what was so embarrassing to me. The dialogue is delightful. This movie is worth watching because of the dialogue. But something still bothered me, and I understood. This is not a dialogue, this is a monologue of the author with himself. He argues, he parries, he comes up with quotes, he sharpens. It's not a schoolgirl, it's not a thirty-year-old man, it's not a kid at a club, it's not a fat friend, it's not a psychologist, it's not a boss, it's all one person talking, sharing with us, splashing out emotions. Why do you ask?
Actors remind me of puppets, they come to life only when they talk, otherwise, they move on a given trajectory without showing any feelings. Unemotional conversations make this film too distant from reality, at least from the reality familiar and close to me. Perhaps that was the idea of the author.
Someone bribes the cute face of the main character, someone is fascinated by the voice of the main character. I'm not attracted to anything about actors. Someone claims that this is one of the best film debuts, talking about the game Ingrid. I can’t agree with this either, at least remember Dreamers and Eva Green, that’s what a great film debut is. And everyone can play a teenager of puberty, if he is not a forty-year-old trucker, of course.
In general, the film is for me, well, who am I lying to? I didn't like it, I liked the dialogue, and the whole picture didn't bother me. Perhaps the author should have chosen another type of art, literature for example. As a book, this work would look much more organic, more holistic. Writing and publishing a book is much less expensive than making a movie.
Inadequate people.I confess. I don't like watching Russian movies. Anyway, I'm an atheist. I watched this movie on the recommendation of a friend. He is quite good against the background of general ugliness and lack of thought. Of course, there are flaws, but I do not want to talk about them at all. I want to praise this film, because you look and get out of this swamp, and we will have our own Scorsese and Nolans. I was incredibly surprised when I learned that Roman Karimov has this directorial debut, so surprised that I am afraid to watch his further works.
I will immediately state that in this review there will be no assessments of the actors, reviews about them or angry shouts ' DO NOT BELIEVE'.I generally dislike to assess what I will make clearly worse and do not know how to do better.
What about the movie itself?
The movie looks easy, interesting. Good humor is present, but in some places it is still Russian cinema, but let’s not talk about sad. The main character is witty, beautiful, with her opinion. But there is another opinion, namely the trouble that Roman Karimov apparently took this image from a real person because I have already seen it somewhere. I can even write a diagnosis - Dr. House, statuses on the likeness ' The Joker Philosophy' Vkontakte. In principle, it is tolerable and even fun if in real life everything around me was not so sad. The main character from him smells like Superman, but in general not bad, he sympathizes and understand, empathize even probably. I do not want to describe the other characters, they play the role of scenery. Oh, yeah, the doctor liked it. He's alive.
The plot line is worked out and shown well, except that the finale is confused, I would like it to end differently, but they say there was not enough money.
Result There was a phantom hope that in my lifetime there would be a good Russian cinema. If you have free time, I recommend watching this movie.
Friends! Whether you want to spend a quiet evening with your loved one or just alone, this movie is for you. Subtle humor, almost homely coziness and the absence of bed scenes will not give ambiguous hints to the partner(s) when watching the film, and will not poison the soul in the case of single viewing.
So, the movie. It turned out interesting, ambiguous, vivid and somehow subtle quality.
The actors played their roles just fine. Special ' hello' you can tell the operator: the guy’s hands grow from a very right place. I've never seen psychology communicate through a camera like this.
About the director: very decent work. I found out that the director was only 26 after watching. I'd say it's a mature 50.
A good script in domestic films is very difficult to meet. Even harder than a good movie. Can we say this about Roman Karimov’s painting Inadequate People? Let's figure it out. Let's start with the script.
A comedy of positions, as it is customary to call a film of this kind. Did it work or not? Personally, when I saw the movie, I would say that yes, it definitely turned out. Could the story have been more fun? The answer is yes, it certainly could. Since we are talking about inadequate people, these most inadequate people in the film is not so much. Most situations are quite real, and some, claiming to be inadequate, are completely ordinary.
The dialogues are written just fine. And it is not even in jokes, skillfully pasted into conversations, but in the dynamics and atmosphere.

The quality of the service fully corresponds to the general state of the market.
When I come across such films, I immediately ask myself the question: is the world so evil, or is the whole reason for such a primitive and dirty film made just in the vision of the world by the director? I have long noticed that Russian cinema can be divided into three groups: the first - rather banal comedies, the second - films about noble cops and raped women in the countryside, and the third group - dull pseudo-realistic pseudo-art house paintings, seasoned with humor marinating for decades. Comedies suddenly become pop, films about the countryside hardly anyone of thinking creatures watches, but the third immediately rise to the status of “special cinema”, for the so-called “appreciating” and “understanding”. So it happened in our country: everything that in other countries would be in the trash, we rest on our laurels.
If you try on the title for the film, the question is not “where are the “inadequate” here, but rather “where are the people here?” Where, really? Is it possible to call a man an arrogant growing Hamlo, who imagines himself the only thinking creature among his fellows? And the mentally unstable type, barely moving his legs? Is it possible to call a person hysterical, annoying mother of the main character? Psychoanalyst? The main character's girlfriend? “Lame”, which type of the main character would fit more than thirty-year-old Vitaly?
All these people cause nothing but squeamishness. Some are insanely annoying. Because they're useless. No use. No lights. No point. What is it to me that the “schoolgirl” fell in love with a thirty-year-old man with a guilt complex sleeping on the move, and he fell in love with her? And it's not love. People have forgotten what true love is. Remember the Soviet films, where the heroes in the most difficult life situations carry the fire of the soul, love, tenderness, affection, throughout their lives, who are not sorry to share kindness and care, and no matter how many troubles fell on their shoulders! We are indignant – why is there no Russian cinema? It's very simple. There is no place to take the main characters who would arouse warm feelings in us if we do not want to see the beautiful, and applaud stupidity, moral corruption and emptiness.
The main character of the comedy (and yet, it is a comedy) is a quiet intellectual Vitalik (Ilya Lyubimov). He travels from Serpukhov to Moscow to start a new life. In the capital, by the way, it is recommended to send pedantic Kuznetsov (Eugene Tsyganov) - a psychoanalyst with his new vision of this world and his own published book, quietly lying on the table. Already from the first minutes of viewing it is perfectly clear that in front of us is a slowed man with his cockroaches in his head. He even falls into a certain disfavor of the new surrounding world. The young neighbor does not perceive Vitalik as a man. The boss at the new job is trying on the fingers and buttons of the jacket to explain to Vitalik that she is crazy about him. At least he doesn't! A colleague of the Light generally considers him an underdeveloped person in life who does not understand simple things and in a childish way, with some semi-confident fearfulness answers simple questions. Vitalik sloppy furnished his new apartments. He gets up at 7:00 every day without much emotion, fries eggs, drinks coffee. Gets into the car, drives it uncertainly, gets to work. In general, to put it in youth slang, everyone thinks him (and some directly tell him) that he is ... a nerd. Or an inadequate person. But after all, most individuals of the human race can without hesitation crush, humiliate a person. And only a minority of them will be able to look into his soul and understand what is really going on with Vitalik. In fact, is he inadequate? Are all the people around him the most inadequate? Ah?
Kristina (Ingrid Olerinskaya) - Vitaly's neighbor. She's only 17. And the girl, according to her mother, has "a protracted transitional age." Christina likes to ultimatum scandal with relatives, listens to hard music, tries to go out with her friend - to clubs, parties, parties, etc. In fact, this is a pretty ordinary girl. But only in appearance...
Mother Kristina (Marina Zaitseva) wishes her daughter the main happiness - not to get carried away with friends "future" drugs and not to break out of the way - to learn English and to enter the university faster (so as not to sit on your neck). Actually, my mom's normal here. But...
But... director Roman Karimov would not have been able, in my opinion, to understand and explain the problem of “fathers and children” to the viewer in an extremely versatile way, if it were not for his age. And 27 is the age when you're no longer green, but you haven't had time to catch up. Moreover, Karimov, as a person and as a specialist, despite his young years, already had solid experience. He worked in London (produced short films for the Air Force) and in Russia (made several short films). We're not going to discuss his dizzying career. And let those facts be superfluous. But still...
Karimov managed to face different age thresholds to bring a common denominator under them.
Vitaly, in his thirties, is not just a cute nerd. This is a man with a broken past. Under certain circumstances, his beloved girlfriend died. Under the influence of fate, he became what he became. He just needs to perceive this world positively, without nerves, with a smile. Exactly as the psychoanalyst Kuznetsov advised him. But is it easy for Vitaly to observe these postulates? He observes them while sitting in a warm bath. He observes them even when he restrains physical defense during the sexual onslaught of the anxious and not in the measure of the comic boss, the “pheromonious woman” Marina Vasilievna. But he's not going to be able to act out as he gets to know Christina closer and closer. He meets a kindred spirit in this girl. He's slowly thawing. Until recently, they were strangers.
“... because parents are not chosen, but friends are chosen” – this is how Vitaly bravely responds to the words of his mother that he is better than her, can influence the behavior of Christina, as he is the eldest friend of the girl. Of course, my mother wanted to hear different words from an already mature man. And he said what he thought he had to say. The older generation may be outraged that he behaved like a boy. Whatever. He's against some extra friends in Christina's company. Vitaly quite fatherly (in relation, of course, to Christine) behaves in conversation with major Arthur. Vitaly controls a party at Christina's house. Why? Because he was asked by the girl’s mother. He doesn't even fit into a drunken company. After all, according to Christina, he has "the only one here has a sense of responsibility."
Yes! Parents try to make their children in their own image. Whether they want to or don’t want to go to the same place. And this effect, in my opinion, is as touchy as it is ridiculous in its morality. Yes! Adolescents seek advice from their peers (also tested on themselves!). Age is the same, interests and thoughts are sometimes similar. But only these peers, despite their comprehension, will have little life experience. Their advice will have only a far-fetched theory, not real life practice (although, still to come). This is a vicious circle.
But strangely enough, Vitaly manages to open it. A completely different person. For Christina, he's not a boyfriend. He's not related to her. She wanted him to be everything to her. He is a stranger (but only on the outside). So it seems that sometimes, the closest, stranger can be for you the most necessary at the right time.
And here we go back to the writer and director of the film. Or rather, his age category. The image of Vitaly was created by Karimov himself. Vitaly is a cog between generations. He is the brain, the heart of the whole plot.
Who's the one with the big eyes?
And somehow in the end, our hero becomes more focused and intelligent, everything seems to be transformed around him. Even Christina seems no longer a rebel but an attentive young woman when she knocks on the window of the car to the drunk, from a sad understanding of all her past mistakes, Vitaly. She froze and brought him his favorite condensed tubes. She followed him to Serpukhov from Moscow. Or rather, she brought it... well, who would you think? Arthur! And he did it without any jokes and quips. No jealousy. Well done. I understand the small thing and what to do.
This is the kind of metamorphosis that happened to the heroes of the film. This is such a diverse and intelligent youth. Such a talented Karimov. Here's a super-played acting ensemble.
After watching the film, there was a dual feeling - on the one hand, it was interesting to watch, and this is a huge plus, modern Russian films in most cases cause me boredom.
On the other hand, you do not always believe what is happening on the screen, which is clearly a minus. Despite the fact that all the characters seem inadequate, which implies the possibility of any unnaturalness, nevertheless they would like to be understood minimally.
With humor often went off the scale, there is an unnatural feeling.
The neighbor surprises with a combination of phlegmatic and aggressive.
Both will pass pretty much soon, thanks to a handsome neighbor and therapist.
The guy who tried to pick her up is strange to the point of utter disbelief in the possibility of such a type of existence. It is absolutely illogical in words and deeds.
When the main character left the office of the boss, I had the feeling that he was after sex. And then it turned out that he had this look after he managed to "fight back." Well, that's the little things.
In general, I did not particularly like the actors, I can not mention anyone, all faces are new to me and do not show special talent.
In conclusion, we can probably conclude that this is not a bad example of modern Russian cinema, which can be quite recommended to pass the evening.
