It was amazing that I started watching this series. Such series for every taste are removed. Most often, this is a detective and is mixed with either mysticism or the extraordinary abilities of Mr. or his entourage. I mean, the formula has probably been run hundreds of times. Surprisingly, most of the season was hard to watch. And here I watched as much as the last series of the 4th and have not yet abandoned.
Of the pros I see. Pretty interesting setting. Many myths and historical events are logically intertwined here. The structure of the series is quite smooth. Interesting investigations. Overall, these are nice characters.
Of course, there are also disadvantages and there are a lot of them, unfortunately.
The further the story goes, the more logical holes appear.
By the 4th season it seems that in this their Portland live mostly creatures, and people as it were at least 10%. But nobody knows anything. It gives the impression of a “fallaby” or as if the world did not exist before the events described.
Then investigations. At first, they may well look like “ordinary” murders to other employees. After death, everything is stranger and stranger and no one except the heads of the characters asks any questions. Like the lizard freezer. Something unusual is happening and nobody cares. Plus, absolutely all cases are related to creatures, there are no usual investigations for "unloading" at all.
Stresses the staged part in places. Heroes should develop with specific experiences. In some episodes, for example, Nick puts everyone down, proving that his kung fu is better than others. But in the 3rd and 4th seasons, ridiculous situations are obtained, where in a flat field they sneak up from the back, where passable "villains" dismiss him as a child.
The actions of professionals seem to look worse than the actions of yellow-mouthed beginners. Fight where you can and should shoot. Attacking a cop while on duty in America frees up their hands as much as possible to use a service weapon and they certainly do not hesitate to use it in life. Everything is so vanilla.
And a lot of such little things that do not fit into either the experience they have experienced, or in general the banal logic of law enforcement officers.
An obscure global key line. They are needed so much that they can not eat, they hunt for hundreds of years despite the costs and expenses. Then they go to the tenth plan and nobody cares about them.
Witches are a different kind of stupidity. Everyone knows that they are evil, insidious, two-faced and for their own benefit will betray anyone. That's why they're not loved everywhere. They prove the same to the heroes with their actions, and repeatedly, and in general in almost all cases. And yet they believe in their word and “suddenly” fall for betrayal. Any logic that the series, that human, and even more Grimm implies their destruction at any opportunity. But no, mistakes, mistakes and more mistakes.
But this is if you watch the series at once and try to analyze it. If you consider each series separately, do not bother much and take breaks, it is quite lookable. So the review is green. With its task, namely to entertain the viewer, in my opinion, the show copes. Even if it's creaky.
Last season: a magical blade, a portal to the parallel world of the looking glass "Stonehenge", the devil and the bride, the lion and the Russian language (as in "The Americans" - you want the North American series to come out as it should, add Russian to
The sixth season is an impressive part of its devoted to the denouements of the main plot themes of the series. Given the small, slightly less than half the number of episodes compared to other seasons, there is little room for our favorite individual completed stories. I remember a series in the style of Cupid's arrows with the main characters - a very humorous series, the funniest in the series. Another series noted that the investigation of the crime takes place without the participation of Grimm. In general, now the heroes literally in five seconds learn or make an accurate conclusion that the crime was committed by a beast-like creature - before this was not the case, that is, they act as zatsiv ... x-m "grimma" (even those of them who are neither Grimm nor a creature of any kind).
Perhaps, among the new, more precisely from what has already been, but updated, an interesting heroine-daughter. It’s like Sabrina or Wensday (although I don’t know, the first series was only started when it was legally available, the second is not available to me). Our Sabrina is an excellent controller, manipulator ... just like some small capricious children in relation to their birth children, and not only.
In fact, the tumultuous season is out. It seems like a lot of things are happening, but not catching. And even taking into account this “non-clinging”, too few series are given for the denouements of all plot schemes. It's all piled up, stuffed like a rush hour in a subway car. Tight, stuffy, uncomfortable, etc., etc. But it's intense ... someone likes that. Surely there are those who like rush hour in the subway.
If you draw a line, it should be noted that the series has learned well (albeit controversially) to shuffle a deck with characters. Someone here was an enemy from the beginning, and then became a close love and friend. A friend turned into a witch... but as they say, the ending can change something. The involuntary clone of the "Supernatural" with the "Brelegrimm" tales (spirits and legends from early Egyptian and biblical to the tales of recent centuries) is over.
Grimm is a very exciting series that uses the concept of the existence of fabulous creatures in our world. And I must say, this is what initially attracted me to the project, given that Grimm could also boast an adult rating.
Like almost any multi-series project, which all truths and untruths try to stretch for as many seasons as possible, Grimm clearly divides the series into those that were originally conceived, and those that were tortured by the writers, just to show something. But to the credit of the series, even by its end, Grimm was fun to watch. Of course, at some point begins quite frank Santa Barbara, generously seasoned with snotty storylines about love, but thanks to the concept and good cast all this tinsel looked good.
The characters, by the way, succeeded in glory. Bright, colorful images that you get used to very quickly and really worry about your favorites and even some minor heroes. Despite the general seriousness of what is happening, by the way, there is a lot of humor in the series, and some characters act mainly as archetypal jokes. However, this helps relieve tension and brings a certain ease to the narrative.
Verdict: Grimm is a worthy project, definitely worthy of acquaintance. An interesting concept is fantasy in the modern world, a good plot, which, however, at some point becomes too overdone, and beautiful characters, because of which you undoubtedly want to know how this whole story will end. I recommend it.
I started watching the series because mysticism, fairy tales, supernatural and... Tyler Hecklin. However, on the main poster David Gintoli I mistook for Hecklin. In the second series I had to Google the cast.
Pros:
+caste is amazing. 10/10 cast selection. They play well, the characters are convincing.
Loved the picture, too. At some point I wanted to sleep with the light. And this was the last time watching the first seasons of “Supers” years 8-9 years ago.
Monroe, who saved the situation so many times, that the question is who is the main character in general. Smart, devoted, enceclopedic. Without him, of course, Mr. Berhard has not come this far.
What I was missing:
- plot development. Yes, it's a detective and every new episode is a new case. Yes, there were some storylines with the Royals and memory loss, but weakly. The most important plot, the mystery of 7 keys, is generally revealed in the last two episodes of the last season.
- character development. Except for Grimm, who seemed to be getting stronger, the characters didn't evolve. Monroe is a devoted friend, Renard is on his own mind - from 1 to 6 seasons and remained.
- love line. I don’t know why everyone is excited about the outcome. Even after the events of season 4, everything could remain in place, in my opinion.
Despite the disadvantages, the creators of the series managed to convince me of the “correct” ending, which speaks to their skill, of course. However, for me it remained open and I have three versions of what happened.
Overall, the series is not bad. I didn’t regret the time, it was interesting to watch, especially since season 3.
The review is positive, but in any case the main thing is to stop in time.
This applies to many popular TV series. Their creators can be understood: success, attention, cash injections, fan love. So that the wave of popularity does not turn into calm, the team seeks to squeeze out more and more new plot moves, surprise, delight. But it is often surprising that the once fascinating spectacle slides into what the characters turn into and what aftertaste the show leaves behind.
The series in general is not bad, the first seasons I swallowed quickly and with pleasure. There was a special atmosphere of Gothic fabulousness, intrigue (disassembly with the royal family, its undecided members, their influence), secret organizations (where without them), and at the same time – some pleasant simplicity. The main character is an ordinary guy, in general his own in the board, his friend Monroe is an even more good-natured shirt-guy, at the same time an educated and not without aesthetics Ripper. You sympathize with them, empathize with them, they do not stuff with morals and morals, I would like to be friends with them.
Gradually begins the excessive “wrapping” of the plot with the subsidence of logic – for example, very mediocrely leaked a certain relative of Nick (I’m not talking about the one who dies in the first season). Really? You show her as a wonderful woman, who no one has managed to overcome for so many years, and then suddenly she completely loses her guard and falls into a trap herself, and even bringing the most valuable things directly into the hands of criminals? Guys, that's too much.
The confrontation with the royal family gradually turns into a dull series of fights. One of its members dies - the next one appears to replace him, and everything begins again.
Captain Renard generally hangs around the show like something in the hole. It seems that the creators have not decided whether they want him to be a good or bad guy. As a result, he is simply spineless and weak, although in the first seasons he had the potential to become a very interesting character.
About the love stories of Nick and his partners - something from the field of nonsense. The appearance of Eva looks like another attempt to surprise the viewer, but in fact rather boring and dull. Nick’s love story with a certain blonde (I try without spoilers) is absolutely unconvincing.
The finale of the series seems to be from some other show. These prophecies, this so-called “final boss” with whom the heroes have to fight in the end, so does not fit with what was at the beginning of the series, which causes only bewilderment. It’s as if in Game of Thrones in the final season, aliens suddenly landed in Westeros, bombed King’s Landing and the Night King, and took Daenerys and dragons with them. And the way the “final boss” was defeated is banal to the point of obscenity.
7 out of 10
I always think about whether I can evaluate this or that work more or less objectively (as much as it is at all possible from my subjective position), if I did not look at the picture to the end. Here I remember that I am not Anton Dolin, that I have no right to regard the film from the position of a film critic - because I am not a film critic, not a scientist, not a researcher, I am just a layman watching films for his pleasure. However, my inner convictions do not allow me to scold anything in front of “all honest people” (the review is interaction with the world) simply out of personal preferences, because what is the point? Unfounded claims can offend those who really liked the picture, and I do not want to offend anyone.
I want to understand why I started watching this series in the first place and why I left it after Episode 3. And if my search will be useful to someone (those mysterious personalities who read reviews on the film search), but I will only be happy.
So, the series “Grimm” interested me in its subject – terrible tales based on fairy tales of famous brothers, I honestly adore this. However, the fact that the action of fairy tales is transferred to modern reality, already puts the picture sticks in the wheel - such a move is always complicated, always stumbles about the clumsy interaction of the atmosphere of the fabulous and real - the real lands the fabulous, makes it not so terrible, not so mysterious. And that's just the law of things to do. But! Hence, there is a need for a very careful study of this very “interworld” – between fairy tale and real life, with which not everyone copes, well, because it is really difficult.
Let me give you an example of a comparison between Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts (for me, these films are an absolute masterpiece and an absolute kringe, but not about that now). The world of Harry Potter is absolutely magical, also because of the talent of all the people who took part in this project. The action in Harry Potter most often takes place in a magical world, interactions with the real world are point-to-point. The two worlds seem to be separated and converge, perhaps, only at the very end, when we are already quite fascinated by the magical world. In Grimm, all the action takes place in the real world, in which the magical world persistently knocks.
In fact, such “knocks” should interest us – the viewer should want to know this world even more, just like the main character, who suddenly fell werewolves-bears (yes, “hunters”). The picture of the city and the forest is even very nothing - there are beautiful shots in the first series, enchanted landscapes, mysterious books, and the suspension of the main character is a masterpiece (honestly, I really liked the pendant for quality and idea). But the reincarnations of these witches and wolves... This is 2011, but not 2001! Maybe if I were in 2011, I wouldn’t be puzzled by special effects, but I’m in 2022. Time goes by inexorably - good work (about genius is silent) knows how to survive time (hello, "Lord of the Rings").
Moreover, good work can survive even its own shortcomings in the form of poor graphics. But for this you need some forces, such as a good plot, good acting of actors, good music, etc., etc.
A separate note on music - the ost of the first series of "Sweet Dreams" performed by Manson is divine, and from the height of its masterpiece, it only shows the contrast between a super powerful composition and a super faint picture.
The plot is so similar to all the gifted boys, the boys who survived, who were the last to become super special. The plot is not new, but as possible after "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" 2001 (!) year of release and subsequent films of the series, which perfectly beat the plot of the usual years, which became super years, to introduce in "Grimm" a character who lost his parents in his youth, who died not in a car accident ... "You don't know much ..." = "Harry, you are a wizard!".
Drawing this parallel with “Harry Potter” I’m not saying that all fairy-tale movies should be equal to it, but! We have to reckon with him. The world in which the saga about a boy with a scar on his forehead appeared will be the same - these paintings set a high bar for the fabulous genre. And this despite the fact that “Harry Potter” did not resort to to torn legs in the frame, to the “adult” rating, and if there is such a rating, it is a super booster! Outright cruelty + a whole new magical world next to our everyday = a very good start for a good series (the same genre, for example, the series “True Blood”, which coped with this task quite well, in my opinion).
The result of my review is very simple – the series Grimm is not a serious enough work that can compete with works of this genre. And this is not a revelation - well, who knows this series? I just found out about him the day before yesterday... And that's right, and that's fair! Where does this rating come from, of course, is a mystery to me, which probably lies somewhere in the coming seasons. But I will not watch them, of course, if the series could not interest me for 3 episodes, then what is the point for me personally? Overpowering, getting sucked in is a simple matter; you know, if you watch a bad series every day for a week, there’s a good chance you’ll want to keep watching it, and why? People give in to habits easily. However, it is not for nothing that we are given the will - only in our power to choose the right habits for ourselves, and for each they are their own.
The creators of the series were able to surprise the most saturated viewer. The series is distinguished by the originality of the plot and paradoxical characters (which is worth one sentimental werewolf-ripper!). Very impressive is the ability of the main character to comprehend the true essence of justice, never to judge superficially. This quality is necessary for each of us. In each series, different moral and ethical issues of a person are raised and their solutions are proposed. Sometimes there are no obvious solutions, as shown in the episodes about El Cukuya and El Quagl. The series makes the viewer think, develop, while enjoying an exciting plot, replete with riddles, battles, interesting heroes and fascinating beauty of Portland (by the way, in the forests near Portland, other fantasy films were shot, for example, Twilight).
In my opinion, there are serious disadvantages in the series (although they will seem pluses to some):
- an abundance of shots with mutilated corpses (surprisingly, the authors are afraid to show an erotic scene, limiting themselves to kisses, but a large frame shows how the tongue of a decayed woman is cut out),
- unprofessional, poorly staged battle scenes (an annoying minus, because the fights there are constant and invite a producer of a normal consultant fighter and the series would not be priced),
Strange love perturbations with the lovers of the main character.
But that's just my opinion. In general, the series is wonderful and will appeal to a wide range of viewers, lovers of detective, horror, Gothic, fantasy and subtle humor.
Have a good time!
Dark and depressive Portland with time becomes cozy and native
Grimm was created by very talented directors. Therefore, it is not surprising that the series turned out to be beautiful, high-quality, interesting and enters all kinds of tops.
Take at least some of the creators. Norberto Barba (Fringe, Mentalist), Terrence O’Hara (The X-Files), Eric Laneville (Clinic, Lost, Escape), Aaron Lipstadt (Quantum Leap), David Solomon (Firefly, Once Upon a Time), and many others. I won't list all of them. Still, the series was released for 6 seasons - there are about 40 directors.
Well-chosen actors. Strict, business and pleasant David Juntoly in the role of Nick, for the time being and for the time being the sweetest Bitsy Tullock in the role of Juliet, the charming top of Monroe performed by Silas Ware Mitchell, the attractive captain Sasha Royce, oh what a difficult witch Claire Coffey, a faithful friend of the main character Hank (Russell Hornsby).
In general, the series is quite depressing, but in some places with humor. From season to season, Grimm is getting darker. From the fourth season everything becomes very confusing, if not harsh.
By that time, the creators had clearly overdone it. It is clear that the plot should develop, but it is not necessary to bring to a frank search. It worked only in “Game of Throne”, but it was originally intended – a series-shock.
A similar situation happened with “Haven Mysteries”, when the creators began to overdo it. This was in the “Vikings”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “Fringe” – and almost all multi-season series. Just one way or another already inspecting, because the characters have become almost friends.
Therefore, I recommend watching Grimm, because you also penetrate the heroes of this story. I will not say that any of them are very annoying. I do not rule out that someone will appreciate all the plot twists! After all, many are very unexpected!
As always, the first season was good and interesting. And then the series began to slide into a hole. Writers no longer understand what they are writing, directors no longer understand what they are shooting. He may have recovered by the end, but I didn't.
So ended the series Grimm, which ran from 2011-2017. Many solved mysterious murders, not understandable to people and an interesting, exciting plot of each season. This series is not like the others, on the contrary, it became better and better with each season, the twists of the plot took away the gift of speech. Detective Nick Burkhardt and partner Hank have become a part of my life. Life is unfair and good series are closed, because people do not like difficulties, they want to come after work and enjoy their favorite series, and not try to comprehend and understand it.
Betrayal, intrigue, love and character changes have all accompanied us for 6 seasons.
In this series, the idea is interesting. There are beings in man who are not visible to man, but are visible to the Grimm. A variety of species and names. All of them are unique and have their own history and needs: witches, redtails, Rippers, bloodhounds, etc.
Julieta, Nick, Hank, Sean, Monroe, Rosalie, Meisner, Wu, Adalind and many other characters, directors, producers, screenwriters - all of them have created a wonderful work of art.
I recommend this series to everyone, I am not disappointed. I didn’t feel like I was watching it because of lost time in previous seasons.
Yes, sooner or later everything ends and the series come to an end and new ones come to replace them, and you do not have time to watch everything new and new. But isn't that a shame?
But the creators realized that it is better to do remakes or shoot on old stories, because it is profitable: solving murders, becoming a hero, werewolf vampires or a plot from history. And when there is novelty, the probability that this creation will go further is very small. Executives care about popularity, not innovation, so they shut down shows.
The fact remains. There will be no continuation, the actors of the roles familiar to me will most likely go to other series, and for you there will be associations and memories.
And on the other hand, it is right, stop in time to leave a good impression about what you see, otherwise you will feel that the series will be sucked out of the finger.
I can’t say it’s going to be a review... but maybe it is. It'll be different.
Viewed all the seasons of Grimm, found a bunch of plot holes, flaws that could spoil the aftertaste of watching the series. But at the same time, regardless of anything, she is in love with this series, although the stupidity of some plot moves and the behavioral reactions of some characters were so inexplicable and short-range that it aroused outrage.
I am generally inexperienced in watching mystical series, once was loved Sabrina the little witch, Buffy, then watched Wolf, who was just a bacchanalia of absurdities. She gave up mysticism in favor of watching melodramas, detectives, sitcoms.
Grimm looked at it by chance, and it impressed... as it turned out later, stronger than expected. I then fell into awe, then laughed at the incidents, then groaned about the absurdities of the plot moves, hoped that the resolution of the situation would be - not everything, by the way, there was a logical conclusion, many storylines were somehow suddenly cut off, the answer to much was not given, sometimes it seemed that the composition of the writers changed, the actions of individual characters generally ceased to include logic. But still, the viewing was interesting. But Grimm is over... well, it ended, like a hundred TV shows before him.
After it, I decided to watch something like this, and I took a look at the 'Supernatural' that I had never seen before. I was shocked at how boring the show was. Like, the same investigations, mysticism, nice actors, but something was wrong. It was incomprehensible, on the level of perception, feeling. inexplicable then. Grimm swallowed in a month. 'Supernatural' Died on the 15th episode of the first season, two months later. It was very painful to watch, also a lot of inconsistencies in the plot, and also in an uninteresting composition for me. Trying to love heroes. I could not (although my older brother was very much).
Switched to Terrible Tales (Penny Dreadful), then I gave up even earlier, on the fourth series of heavy blah blah plot, the dramas there caught up great, the atmosphere is what you need, but frankly boring characters who build themselves characters with meaning, mystery, past - it was so dorky, so dragged that from the main character I was ready to climb the wall. Playing four episodes with the same face is probably great, but it was frankly uninteresting to watch. So I stopped biting this cactus... went to review again 'Grimm'. Then I realized what hooked me the most in the series. These are not periodic appearances of deliberately terrible monsters, not intrigues that were woven by all the negative characters of the series (quelic, I must say, in the end, intrigue, in places generally stupid). I was hooked on the relationship between the heroes. All these monster-passion-investigation, the machinations of the royal family receded into the background, the main became the relationship between the characters: friendship, love, hatred, cohesion, moments when uninformed characters (from the main backbone of the characters) learned season after season about the existence of an alien world. It was more interesting to me, it was interesting to observe the development of relations, to observe the awkward situations that arose due to the difference of worlds. Apparently, this format is close to me: a company of different people + creatures take on the disclosure of mysteries that life sets before them (= violent fantasy of the screenwriter), destroying some stereotypes, clashing different mentalities and worldviews. And it was just interesting to watch the vicissitudes of the conflicts occurring in the plot, dramas.
Yes, a lot of stress in the script of the film, a lot, but apparently I learned to throw away the husk to focus on the interesting, not annoying, although it was a lot, especially in recent seasons. But nevertheless, the story was successful, not always unambiguous in interpretation and perception, but in principle I do not know any infallible perfect series. The main thing is that I was pleased with the play of the main cast, got a charge of positive, enjoyed the views of forest locations.
After Grimm, I never found anything remotely similar in atmosphere, too.
I'm afraid I'll review it indefinitely.
Have you ever thought that many people are similar to certain animals, both in behavior and appearance? Like, does your girlfriend look like a bunny? And your ex-girlfriend is an evil rat, isn't she? Is your husband a lazy purring cat and your ex-boyfriend a real lustful dog? Is your mother-in-law a natural witch? Is your stepfather a calculating jackal? In the Grimm universe, a beast is hidden inside many people, not figuratively, but in a real sense. The main character - Detective Nick Burkhardt - comes from an ancient family of Grimms, so he at the sight of animal-human eyes poured black (like demons) and he sees their true animal essence before turning. From time immemorial Grimm hunted down and killed creatures (as they are called in the series), about Grimm wrote fairy tales and at night frightened them little beast children! Therefore, all creatures are afraid of Burkhardt, barely seeing his black eyes. Unlike his relatives from the Middle Ages, Nick does not kill animals, but simply investigates various murders that happen in Portland and are associated, of course, with the machinations of criminal creatures. In this he is helped by friends: the wolf man Monroe (the Ripper) and the fox man Rosalie (redtail), the owner of a store selling illegal drugs for creatures.
The behavior of creatures corresponds to their biological species. So, the Rippers (human wolves) are very hot-tempered and cruel, the crushers (human trolls) are vindictive and touchy, and the honey-bees (human bees) live in whole social groups, led by their queen. Some creatures have their own rites and rituals, the knowledge of which is passed down from generation to generation. Only the Grimms and the Seven Royal Families are aware of the existence of the creatures. The rest simply do not see their animal essence and live in blissful ignorance, only occasionally encountering something inexplicable.
Some beings have the ability to influence or even control people. So the goat uses pheromones to charm its victims. The lips of the muse secrete a psychotropic substance that causes euphoria and addiction, which as a result leads to obsession with the muse as a drug. Deathloui produces a special composition of saliva, thanks to which it can create a whole army of zombies, etc.
Some creatures eat humans (rippers, jackals, wendigos, coyotes, foul teeth), and some even eat other creatures (for example, Rippers eat pigs, and life swallows eat loafers). Some creatures from time immemorial hunt for other creatures, for example, hunters for light skins and strabists.
The most powerful creatures are witches and witches. They achieve unprecedented heights in career, business and politics, in connection with which they are extremely dangerous.
As you can see, Grimm created its own original universe, populated by bizarre animals. And in each new investigation of Nick you will be revealed a new creature, with his unique habits and motivation of behavior.
In addition to the on-duty investigations of crimes, the series has a general storyline: it talks about some keys scattered by the Crusaders in different parts of the world that lead to the hidden Treasure. These keys are hunted by billionaires of the Seven Royal Families, and our protagonist Nick. With this main plot associated with the only drawback of the series – too naive, I would even say childish, the end of the story. No, well, how could it be so cool to talk about all these animals, and then end it with a fairy tale for preschool age?
"Grimm" - the series is not tense, looks easy and will cheer you up. Fans of werewolves and detective investigations should definitely like.
'Grimm' this is a wonderful mystical series that has become one of my favorite shows. Excellent concept, atmosphere, pleasant characters, dynamic, practically sagging narrative (which is in principle a rarity for the format of the series) - in ' Grimm' almost everything is done well or almost well. Not without a couple of spoons of tar, but about everything in order.
In the center of the story is Detective Nick Berkhart, who one day learns that he is a descendant of an ancient family of Grimms - people who are able to see supernatural creatures hiding behind the faces of ordinary people. Grimms have hunted monsters for centuries, and accordingly the latter now have a very biased attitude towards the former, and just as people scare their children with a gray top and a babaika, so creatures frighten their offspring with Grimms. However, all this is yet to be learned by our protagonist, who will have to balance between his work in the police and his new duties.
In its structure ' Grimm' recalls 'Supernatural' - in each series, Nick Berkhart faces a new business and a new creature, some of which he will have to find a special approach. The background also unfolds the main storyline, pieces of which we recognize a little in almost every series. This style of narration is preserved almost all 6 seasons, and it provides the necessary level of dynamics of what is happening so that the viewer does not get bored.
Among the main advantages of the series should be noted characters. All of the show's regular heroes - both central and secondary - are actually very good. If you are a serialist with experience, you know that in many shows there is a completely disgusting hero, who absolutely everyone hates because of his character, stupidity or everything at once. So, in 'Grimm' there are no such characters. None of the main characters annoyed me, and even the negative characters are beautiful in their own way. At the same time, one more important detail should be noted - with the appearance of new characters in the plot (which is inevitable for every major project), the show does not slide into frank ' Santa Barbara' with the solution of personal problems of each hero. Yes, they try to reveal the characters, they add their own story arcs and backstory, but they do it very organically so that the dynamics of the series do not stall.
Of course, speaking of characters, it is impossible not to say about caste. And the cast in 'Grimm' very good. The actors look as organic as possible in their images, they act very well, in general, I personally have no complaints in this regard when watching.
I will speak more briefly on the other components. Perhaps the weakest point of the series is cheap graphics. I can’t say that it spoils the impression too much, by all means, but sometimes it catches the eye. Action - not that it was much, but there was a place for shooters, errands, and hand-to-hand fights. Such scenes were arranged and filmed quite well. There is good humor and a memorable title musical theme. And that’s about it.
Unfortunately, 'Grimm' like many other long-running series, has not escaped the problem of more and more sloppy plot, although it manifests itself here to a much lesser extent than many colleagues. I would say that the first four seasons are really good, they are interesting to watch, and the main storyline is more or less interesting to follow. From the fifth season in the series begins to create a perfect game, the writers go into all serious to somehow justify the events, and the last two seasons look less enthusiastic, and in general they are even able to spoil the overall impression of the series with their absurdity.
To sum up, 'Grimm' as I said, this is still a good project, which I highly recommend paying attention to. This is an interesting series with interesting characters. Yes, not everything is always smooth in it, especially in terms of the script, but for me personally, the pros definitely outweighed the cons. Fortunately, the series retired in time (although in a good way he needed to do it even earlier), leaving behind a pleasant aftertaste, an open ending, on the basis of which, if desired, you can cry out a spin-off, and for some time almost impeccable Russian speech from the lips of the characters.
This spring, my soul wanted a fairy tale. I found myself a fairy tale and... better read a book. Nope! The show doesn't suck. The first two seasons. Well, maybe three was quite interesting to watch. A good idea, which the writers simply merged to the end of the series, set up something exciting. In the beginning was an introduction to the world of Grimms, a fixation on the mystery of the seven keys, on the ubiquitous royal family with strange family values. But the further into the woods, the more unresolved questions and stalled storylines there were. The only one who was happy was a couple of Monroe and Rosalie, which in every way prevented to live quietly, breaking into their house at any time of the day, Nick. He probably thought they were his own Wikipedia, and without hesitation used it as ' you all owe me' From about the fourth season, the series began to look inertia to see how it all ends. Pure masochism. The series became template, the creatures became more and more. Cool organization 'Black Claw' apparently self-destructed as soon as it was quickly finished in Portland. Turns out she's not that cool. Well, then why did you have to start this kettle? The secret of the seven keys was suddenly revealed, what was buried was dug up, without giving a damn about the consequences, and without ever thinking that it was not for nothing that the Crusaders hid it away from people. They dug it up, brought it home, and then they started thinking, where to hide it now, because it is a very dangerous thing! Madness! What the hell was that? Over time, there was a strong feeling that the characters picked up some kind of virus and suddenly began to blunt. Seriously so stupid, ending in the final with the apogee of the illogicality of actions, the slow reaction of the brain and the insanity of the situation as a whole. The feeling that the writers were tired of everything, and they decided to quickly finish torturing Nick and Co. The sixth season was unnecessary and complete disappointment. I do not regret watching 'Grimm', just a shame that because of the lack of good imagination of the authors, so mediocre finished, in principle, a good series.
For several years I tried to start watching Grimm, merge into the plot and drown in the stories with the characters, but the 2nd series did not move ... and now I wonder what was wrong. After all, now, watching this wonderful series, which day I can not watch anything further in turn, because to get rid of such family and familiar characters, as it turned out, is terribly difficult.
Nick Burkhardt, aka Grimm, who brewed the whole manka for 6 seasons. To be honest, it was the actor David Gintoli who pushed me away a couple of times. In the first season, Grimm turned out not to be the harsh and fearless fighter against the “evil spirits” that I had expected, but a shy and seemingly underplayed boy who did not know what to do with everything that the “title” requires. Grimm. But after the series and seasons, he turned into a damn attractive male hero, who could not help hooking a number or two of my type of viewers.
Sean Renard - God! What a man! It is worth every minute of the series!
Meisner is an ambiguous figure, both in the love line and in the plot. But what difference does it make when it is so beautiful!
Adalind Schade is a "charming" witch, hexenbeast, who stole even my heart! In my indiscreet opinion, her character as a creature was the most successful. Her rotten face, black teeth and gray hair gave a special charm to the whole series! And the most beautiful facial expressions, it would seem, so inappropriate for a witch, I remember for a long time! And the most heartbreaking moments of the series belonged to Adalind. Skin bumps.
Rosaly is a strong character. A decent, loyal and loving woman. I loved her mind and her charisma.
Hank and Wu Their storyline is very similar. Hank is like Dale to Chip. A great friend and a good detective. And I will miss the jokes of the cheerful Wu...
In general, all of the above, perhaps, and will be useful for future generations who will find themselves searching for new TV series!

“The personality of a man is a mask he believes in.”
Before I start, I want to write how I came across this masterpiece, which is called 'Grimm' and at the same time say that sometimes a seemingly random event can affect you as a person. So my first meeting was purely accidental, when I was switching channels and I was faced with a pilot episode, I thought it was a movie, and it turned out to be a series. This moment will remain in my memory for a long time. My expectations were as follows: I thought another snotty series about werewolves and vampires like Twilight, but how wrong I was, even ashamed to remember it. The series tells us about the oldest kind of people who can see what others can not. The first time it seems stupid, but it is absolutely not. This is a very fresh idea in the world of supernatural series. From the intro to the detailed assessment.
The impact of this series on me. It really was, I can safely say that 'Grimm' changed my idea of man, I say this without a bit of pathos. We will talk about this in more detail at the very end, and now we will proceed smoothly to the analysis.
In the beginning, I want to mention what this work may interest you. First of all, it’s a fresh idea, many consider this series a clone of the Winchester brothers, but if you’re smart and know how to distinguish simple things, you won’t think so. Secondly, the gorgeous selection and play of actors, the actors themselves were not particularly famous before, but after that, I think they will be disassembled with hands and feet. Thirdly, it’s not stomping in one place, what does that mean? Everyone who is not the first day in the film industry knows that some series try to drag the storyline down in different ways, but here every season, each series shows us a completely new, the most important connected and logical, it is true, I am not trying to embellish. Fourthly, this is a professional linking of several genres in one series, there is also fiction, and horrors, and a novel, and a thriller, and a detective, and an action movie, which does not let anyone get bored. Fifth, "Grimm" makes you think about life issues, on the one hand and philosophical, which does not cause degradation of the individual. Sixth, the most interesting and addictive story. Seventh, this is the unpredictability of the storyline in the literal sense of the word, I will tell you one of each character that you will see during the viewing remember, because further, they will take an active part in the series, or you can get confused, from here we move on to the plot itself, but at the beginning we need to touch another point, I do not take it seriously, but for fans of Transformers or Fast and Furious, it is of great importance, it is a graphic component, in a clear language of graphics or the quality of textures. I won’t lie, there are no explosions and special effects that try to intrigue us with the above films, but the picture itself is quite high-quality, the faces of creatures (monsters) are completely thought out from A to Z, every hair on their face and body as a whole is expressed, fire or fire is also very high-quality and the picture itself is generally pleasant or even excellent. Now the story.
Here we are told about a certain Nick Burthard, whose ancestors hunted evil spirits all their lives, but poor Nick was separated from this crazy world as a child, because of which he did not know who he was or who that blonde lawyer or that watchmaker was. But one day he comes across a case of stealing people, from which he is included in this abnormal life. I think it should be interesting, because the further, the more interesting and dangerous. I think it’s a great ending, to move on to the conclusion, I will not delay.
Thus, you can extract the following: Grimm is a series that has no doubles, with a very fresh idea, with a very interesting plot and with a chic acting. I'm not exaggerating. I would also like to mention a very interesting innovation, at the beginning of the series you are read an excerpt from fairy tales, and based on this, we can know what the series will be about, agree, what an interesting innovation this is, children themselves can receive primary socialization. As for my outlook after this film. Let's put everything aside and think. Here we are shown that almost every person has his animal incarnation, which directly affects the person himself, namely his behavior, physical strength, love for a certain thing, this is actually a very interesting topic, which can be talked about for a long time. Based on this hypothesis, it is possible to explain those cruelties that a person is capable of, such as rape, child theft, cannibalism and much more. If you go to the website of Wicca of this series, then there in the description of the creature we are shown what kind of beast may have lived in various famous personalities, like Hitler, for example. Why Van Gogh might have cut off his ear is a world-famous fact. Is there really a beast in every human being? Based on the above, it follows that the series is not as superficial as it may seem, it really has a message. And finally, I want to emphasize that the series can be safely watched with the family, no nightmares or mental problems in children will not be observed. This is definitely my favorite series.
When I began to review the series 'Grimm' for the fourth time in a row, I had to wonder what the hell was going on. Well, can't an adult uncle stick to a set of fairy tales for so long.
Suppose the first time went well for the story. It's normal. There's a lot of storylines. The series ended before many of them brought to the end, and many only outlined without developing. I would have had a few more seasons.
In general, such a story saturation (2-3 lines per series) is the reason that the action during all seasons practically does not hang. Where other authors have a crisis genre manifests itself in the abundance of holidays, when all the screen time the characters spend on preparation, and then to celebrate it, in ' Grimm' just included the adjacent line, and ' goodbye, boredom'.
The second time you can look to plunge into the atmosphere. With an atmosphere in 'Grimm' again all great. A high-quality soundtrack, detailed and clearly spelled characters (not ' stupid cardboard' whose experiences do not take seriously), abundant diverse props and interiors that create a well-habited space. Together, this creates a full-fledged reality, where you want to go again.
But why watch more?
Then I began to remember - and what was ousted by this series from the daily rest before TV? The selection turned out to be odd. 'Friends' and old Soviet films did not stand the competition.
Because 'Grimm' it's just a good movie. All six seasons are full of scenes that are well written and well played, and which in the end pulls to review many more times.
First of all, we should note the exclusive casting. We all know that acting is like a lottery. A ticket to the world of fame and big money wins a few out of thousands. Many great actors remain in the shadows. But that doesn’t mean they’re worse than the winners. It is this army of unknown, unpromoted, but still talented actors picked up by the creators of the series. Even in the smallest episodes, very interesting performers play. Not all, but at least 95%. They were obviously cheap. But they did a great job. As a result, even short passing scenes significantly add to the pleasure of viewing.
At the same time, oddly enough, half of the main roles were selected actors good, but not the best. Although it did not spoil anything, because they are charismatic and perfectly fit their roles. You regret their shortcomings a little, but you do not want to change anyone. Moreover, the other part of the main cast (Sylas Ware Mitchell ' Wolf Monroe', Claire Coffey ' Witch Adalind' and Danny Bruno ' Beaver Bud') are talented actors, lighting up and where they are, even reading aloud train schedules will look good.
What's the bottom line? Many hours of quality film. It’s no wonder he’s looking forward to it.

PS. The main advantages of this series are available only when viewed in the original. Intonations, wordplay, accents, nuances and so on in the available translation are completely absent. Probably, you can translate everything to the maximum, but it requires a completely different effort and other money. It is unlikely that anyone will ever do this. So, alas. Those who do not know English, with interest will watch this series once for a very worthy plot. There will be nothing to watch the second time.
I would like to put in a quote from a fairy tale, but I will not
Overall, I can say that the series is worth it. Love fairy tales or love detectives, or even all together - this is for you! If that is enough, have a good look.
If you want more details, please. So, what I liked - at first it was interesting just the idea that fabulous creatures - not fairy tales - true. And how all this is presented. Not only are werewolves living among people, but all those mentioned in fairy tales have a human face and soothe in true form under different circumstances. Some are more like people, some live according to the inclinations of their species. In general, the first season looked fascinating, a detective with an admixture of fairy tales is a great combination. I would also like to note some of my own, cozy, lamp atmosphere of the series (which, as for me, from the fourth season almost completely lost, but it was still watchable). I really liked epigraphs from fairy tales for each series, then not only from fairy tales they were, but still this tradition I liked.
Unfortunately for me, the second season just started when I watched the first one and I watched a few episodes of the 2nd, and then, in anticipation of new ones, the integrity for me was lost. A year later, I tried to watch the second season again, but it didn’t last. In general, I remembered about the Grimm series five years later, it turned out that it was released completely and there are no more than 6 seasons. The third time was a diamond and I looked at it. There were moments that I was unhappy with, there were controversial moments, but apparently still not critical. I will miss the atmosphere of the show a little, but it will definitely not be interesting to watch it. The pluses can also include most of the pleasant actors in the lead roles, few annoyed. And those who selected actors for the role of creatures - they really were something like the creatures they played, something in their facial features resembled.
We have to give credit - the series was rounded on time and beautifully. They did not, like many, pull the cat by the tail and chew endless gum.
About things I didn't like. Possible spoilers (though I tried to avoid them).
There are negative aspects that are purely subjective (relative to the characters and actors), and there are more objective, as it seems to me (relative to the plot).
Of the main actors, I categorically did not like the actress playing the role of Adalind. Because of this, I wasn’t quite able to accept the storyline of recent seasons. And the actress is not bad, but her face did not have to my taste, she is not exactly beautiful and charisma, which makes not beautiful attractive - I also did not find. I know it tastes and colors, but that's my opinion. Therefore, I could not get into this character in general, who says that it is not a simple fate and seems interesting, but, alas, smeared because of antipathy to the appearance of the actress. She just annoyed the subconscious, no matter how I tried to reconcile with her, I think if there was another actress, this character would be much more interesting for me. With all the same, the actress playing Juliet is also not to say that in my taste on the face, but just the same in her some zest I felt and mostly sympathized with her throughout the series. True season five, this pokerface was wacky to be honest. As annoying as Adalind was her overly gifted daughter. I guess I couldn't understand her because of her giftedness - sarcasm. But in the last series there was a complete epic, when she shouted “don’t give me to him” and then happily with “them” she went and calmly stared at the atrocities inflicted by this betrothed man.
Despite the sympathy for the main character, his behavior in the last series in the most tense moment was very surprising. Of course, I understand what preceded this event, but all his heroism and dedication at once disappeared. Well, he himself could not think, but here he was like a Magic Cricket Trouble seemed to suggest everything, and then he almost stepped on full, sorry.
The main plot drawback of the series can be called unevenness.
A key puzzle, for example. About them periodically recalled when it was necessary to catch up with the excitement, but then very quickly crumpled slipped three and look for the other two did not even begin. Only in one of the last series, realizing apparently how crazy it looked, put in the mouth of the hero a replica typeo ' Opened the chest with 5 keys, and how it turned out not even ask'.
Just as absurd is the end of the story with the Black Claw - they pumped up, then Trouble ran and accidentally threw: ' The Black Claw is no more, we destroyed it' - the resistance who was there, how many of them were all covered with darkness, so convenient.
Having run through the reviews, I noticed some discontent that Grimmov was not two brothers, or about a black assistant and other things, I understand that everything is subjective, but I just have the opposite impressions. Here I can probably say that I am happy with everyone. A tribute to political correctness is the complete friendship of nations, Hank is dark-skinned, Wu, Asian - here's the topic - and doesn't look silly like the black Valkyrie in Torah 3 or the Torch (who is blue-eyed blonde in the comics) in the Fantastic Four reboot. What the Brothers Grimm did not do, in my opinion, is so interesting and not so predictable, in the end, after all, there were relatives, then an aunt, then a mother, then a sister (by the way, this character, which I am very pleased with). And besides, it was very interesting to me that Grimm immediately became so close to Monroe that in general, creatures helped him.
Bottom line: despite some downsides, I can firmly say that this is one of the few full-length series, the end of which I am not disappointed and can not say that it was leaked to hell, like a lot of TV shows that were beautiful at the beginning and miserable at the end.

Thank you for listening
P.S. And the creators are obvious digital lovers. Considering all sorts of manipulations with the coincidence of series numbers with numbers in the series, it is not surprising that they all ended up on the series with the beautiful serial number 123. In the first five seasons there were always 22 episodes, and in the last - 13, otherwise I can not explain it.
The first time the series did not come to me, despite the praise of friends! But three years later (just the seasons came out), came across him on TV and immediately for season 4, that’s where it hooked!
Either the level of the series was raised, or the stars so converged, in any case, dragged to the level of viewing all seasons without a break, almost for days (by the way, there is such a feature on the Kinopoisk, the calculation of viewing all series non-stop.
About the show! A good picture with stunning landscapes of Portland, magical forests, where you can really meet magical creatures, a colorful and very atmospheric spices and spices store, where magical potions are brewed. A good selection of characters, where each complements each other, a decent acting, the impression was that they themselves get high from filming, worthy jokes and comic moments that dilute the inevitability of the apocalypse and quite interesting stories and storylines.
The only thing that bothered me all along was not the highest level of special effects. Of course, it is clear that this is not Marvel and Star Wars with their astronomical budget, but the people are now spoiled for realism, and the kolkhozny reincarnations, well, very painful. But the costumes and masks of various creatures were very much on the level.
It is a pity that we decided to close the series, there was still a lot of interesting things to do, but although the conclusion was quite logical and we tried to finish all the stories.
Many fans are hoping for a spin-off and redemption rights, well, I will be among them, and preferably with the same friendly caste, well, or at least with some of them.

In a small town, there was an ordinary policeman. Actually, he wasn't that ordinary. He saw some strange things. Until one day a man appeared before him who did not tell the whole truth. Namely, Nick is a Grimm. He's a hunter. Hunters of creatures that look like ordinary people. Men in Black, wouldn't you agree? And Detective Berhard realized that the normal days of his life were over.
What can I say about the series? Unusual. Everyone loves something unusual. The process ' sobbing', a set of creatures, Nick's trailer with his book - the key to the success of the series. Unfortunately, after season 4 it was not so interesting, so I agree with the opinion of the majority that the series to some extent delayed. But the downside here is not that. And the story of Juliet Silverton. That's tight and far-fetched. Not the number of seasons.
It should be noted that the actress Bitsy Tullock (playing Juliet and not only) with his role coped perfectly. And what to lie about - she is beautiful, for many it is important. All the actors were chosen perfectly. Bree Turner played her heroine - redtail. The creature is supposedly a little cowardly, but Rosalie Calvert showed a completely different side. Loyal, loyal, ready to always come to the rescue.
The very design of the series, all these lyrics, music is a big plus. Intrigues the viewer. As a result, we get a pretty good series, without any passing series. There is certainly some protractedness, but for some it is the opposite in plus. For if the series is interesting, I always wish there were more episodes.

6 seasons, more than 100 episodes and many different unusual creatures.
For this you can close your eyes to the drag and watch the series.
Of course not the X-Files, but still interesting and fascinating.
Sitting poor little miller’s daughter and does not know what to think to save herself from death. She did not know how to hide gold yarn from straw. And she was so scared that she finally began to cry.
"Rumplestiltskin"
The creators of the series wanted to come up with something interesting and not boring to the viewer, but it did not work. So they began to compose every blizzard.
I was able to watch Grimm on the second try. The second one I did was just because everyone was praising. And the same positive feedback is very much. I believe that they are absolutely unjustified, or they were left by the audience not very pretentious.
If you describe the series in a few words , I would say this: a pseudo detective series, of which there are many, with cardboard special effects and an undeveloped idea. I hate these many detective similar series, in my opinion, they can be compared with Russian analogues – they are so boring and similar.
The idea itself has some originality. The bottom line is that there are in the world of Grimmas, descendants of famous storytellers who have certain abilities and can see supernatural beings. That's where the originality ends. Although no, there will be another atypical, but disastrous moment, which I will write about later.
The series has a very unattractive beginning, usually give 3-5 episodes to disperse. The entire first season of 22 episodes looks like one huge introduction to the main narrative. This is not a good thing, as many people may not be impressed and stop watching.
“Grimm” has a small feature – quotes from fairy tales and other books that supposedly should be related to the upcoming events of the series. That was just the first season. Then they became completely meaningless.
The huge minus of the series is disgusting special effects, looking similar to those in Buffy, and it was shot 15 years earlier. If you do not have a budget, do not try to jump above your head, make them simpler, but tasteful. Since the topic of special effects came up, the monsters in the series are absolutely unforgettable. I don’t remember any less vivid creature that would cause any feelings.
I watched the whole show. I've been waiting for the show to tell us what Grimms are, apart from seeing creatures. After all, if Nick (the main character) was not a policeman, he would be absolutely useless and would have been killed in the first series. Here you can draw a parallel with the same Buffy: there the main character also had enhanced reflexes and greater physical strength than a simple person. But Buffy was trained to be a slayer, which is why she was useful, so to speak. Nick’s status doesn’t help much. He could also solve murders with a detective badge, since most cases have logical motives.
Heroes of the series do not develop. They either stomp in place, remaining unchanged from the first to the last season, or they are changed “artificially”.
I wrote above about an atypical plot twist. So – Nick and Adalind – this is an atypical serial move, as for four seasons Nick had a love – Juliet. The witch Adalind was originally an antagonist. And she's one of those people who's been changed "artificially." All 4 seasons, she puts Nika and Co in every possible way, tries to kill Nick's aunt, sends him to a coma Juliet, then makes another terrible act, as a result of which we get the next radically changed character - this very Juliet. Juliet is an ordinary person, because of the spell of Adalind becomes a witch, and not just some, but a mega-evil with a gone roof and as a result becomes Eve - a magical killer without emotions. So, the stupidity of changing the pair Nick-Juliet to Nick-Adalind is that although it looks unexpected, it does not sparkle between the characters. We are not shown exactly how the relationship develops, where feelings arise from hatred and the desire to kill each other.
As for me, the heart and soul of the show, like Watson in Holmes, is Nick’s friend and being in one person, Monroe. This character really grew over all 6 seasons, and his change was logical.
Until season 5, the logical character was the captain of the site Sean Renard, who is also a sorcerer. But only until the fifth, because in him all his personality was fucked, removed any motivation from his actions.
The only plus, in my opinion, is a good performance of the entire cast. Actors really show emotions.
David Jintoli (Nick) did a great job with the role. He was able to play how lost his character was, losing his powers; how upset he was about the events of Season 4 and how he played it not with words but with his face, facial expressions, eye expression. Great, I think. In general, I have no comments on the acting game.
In conclusion, I will say that the series would have been more successful if the creators did not stretch each season for 22 episodes, and did as with season 6 – fit the plot in 13 episodes.

This is another good show that ended. It's a pity, because 'Grimm' is a special, unusual project. Not typically American (perhaps because of the location chosen for filming), and the theme chosen is very European: scary tales of the brothers who gave the series the title. In other words, the forest, witches, creatures and hunters are a good set.
After the final season, I revisited the first one: it was fun to watch all the characters change by the end of the project. Everything has changed, some have changed several times. I generally like to go back to the beginning when everything was fine and relatively calm - it's not so sad to part ways with characters, even if sometimes they were a little silly. Last (sixth) season came out the best, very emotional. I haven’t been as worried about the show as I was in season six. And for the seventh series, a separate ' thank you' it's almost Bomarche.
From season to season, the plot became darker and darker, but there were always Woo and Monroe to smile again. By the way, each character has enough self-irony to prevent conspiracies and political intrigues from making this fictional world tedious and too complex. This technique is still used by the supernatural and unsinkable brothers of the Winchesters, who seem to be with us forever. But you have to be able to finish on time. Six or seven seasons is the perfect timeline for a good show: each character gets developed, all the storylines come down to the logical end (especially the keys, because I was upset), and we manage to see a few defeated villains. The only thing I didn’t like was how the writers merged the situation with Renar. Maybe just to bring him back to the Hero Family and not kill him. Well, that's good, because I'd miss him, because I like him. And cockroaches in the head can be activated in everyone, even the best character.
In general, a great series for lovers of mysticism and detectives of medium complexity. And the melodies on the credits (both introductory and post-production) are very atmospheric.

P.S. The hairstyle of Nika is the coolest in the first season. He's still well maintained.
One night, I saw the show on TV. I must say, then I really liked it, and since that series attracted me a lot, I decided to start watching everything with 'Pilot'. After that day, I watched three seasons in the next few months. And I was impressed. I fell in love with this series so much that each episode brought me more happiness than I sometimes didn’t even get all day. I even managed to put my best friend on it, who also became quite a fan of the series. As I discovered the world 'Grimm' I found something new, because I was happy, afraid, worried, sad and finally realized how dear this series is to me.
'Grimm' divided into six seasons, each of which is beautiful. The first is a bright introduction to the world of the main character. The second begins to open the main plot and focuses on the peculiarity of each series. The third begins to wrap one of the main climaxes of the whole series. The fourth shows us the main chain of the general plot, which ran from the third or even second season. Fifth tells us another important story, based on the main theme created in the first season. The sixth completes the entire story, which began in the first series.
Portland police detective Nick Burkhard enjoys life and is going to propose to his girlfriend Juliet, but unexpectedly reveals that he inherited the power of his ancestors. He sees what others don't. The world is divided into several categories of people, that is, ordinary people, creatures, non-beings, people who know about the existence of creatures and makeup. Creatures are ordinary people who, with emotional impulses or of their own volition, subside, that is, their other half briefly wins over their human being, and they become a Ripper, Witch, Redtail or others. Non-beings can be described as being whose wild side has prevailed so much that nothing human remains, that is, as being without a human side. Grimms are ordinary people in appearance, but in fact they have their own peculiarity of seeing creatures when they subside. So Nick discovers his new world, in which he had time to devote a little his aunt Mary, meets the Monroe Ripper, who helps him survive in the reality of Grimm and with whom he experiences further dangers.
The characters are so trivial that I can talk about them endlessly. Nick is serious and resourceful. Monroe can be called a great friend, and just a very kind and soulful Ripper. Hank is funny, but still seems like a serious man. Juliet has her own oddities, but after the fourth season everything will settle down. Captain Sean Renard continues to impress until the end, representing a man, albeit imperious, but quite kind and intelligent, who speaks many languages, including Russian. Adalind changes greatly from the beginning of the series to the end, because it is insidious and cunning, then kind and soulful. At first, my favorite character was Monroe, being one of the most vital parts of the series, but then I realized how much they all matter to me.
In the end 'Grimm' took a separate place in me and I will never forget it. Everything is beautiful from the characters to the story. Every season is amazing. I can tell you that this series has influenced me. Dear 'Grimm', I will never forget you because you are in me.

Grimm is a series that changed the way I think about TV shows. I think it’s quite a big headline and the beginning, now let’s move on to analysis.
Let's start with how I actually encountered, I won't be afraid of that word, this masterpiece. Thus, we can extract the following: Grimm is a series that has no doubles, with a very fresh idea, with a very interesting plot and with a chic acting. I'm not exaggerating. Following the title, some may think that this series is about those brothers Grimm and their famous fairy tales, but it is not quite so, but there are a lot of references to their works, even at the beginning of the series you read an excerpt from fairy tales, and based on this, we can know what the series will be about, agree, what this innovation is interesting, the children themselves can get primary socialization. And finally, I want to emphasize that the series can be safely watched with the family, no nightmares or mental problems in children will not be observed.
I recommend a mandatory review, you will not regret it!!
10 out of 10
The series was watched from the release of the very first series, but what is there, I was waiting for it when it was just filmed and announced with the help of a teaser. And although sometimes writers and producers a little carried in the course of the plot, if you evaluate the series as a whole, it can be safely advised to fans of fiction.
Monroe’s character was most loved, and then Rosalie.
Of all the episodes, I especially want to mention Season 6 Episode 7 - amazing!
And of course, the final... I won’t go into details, but I want to praise everyone who worked on it! You can see that it was thought over, not as it often happens - some kind of cut ending, when the series is closed unexpectedly. It is nice that it was not stretched ugly, as it came out with 'Supernatural'. In general, the final was impressive, for him a solid 10!
But, since 6 seasons from time to time there were illogical plot twists, I put
9 out of 10
But the series is worth watching, cast and crew - well done! It was sad to watch the last episode, but the way it was shot is very exciting!
Since the first season, Grimm has been delighted with an unusual idea, an original universe, and a not-too-obtrusive ideology. It seems that everything is simple – there are people, there are animals, but some animals are still more people. I will not raise the question of why the series says so little about ordinary people, the series is not about that, and this problem is the least available.
Much more questions to the main branch of the narrative.
For example, let’s look at the makeup itself. In the first season, he is a naive cop with high ideals and morals. In the sixth season, this is the same naive fool who is not able to accept that the world around him is full of intrigue, and the game must be conducted with a long-term view.
In fact, even the writers refused to understand the latter.
The same “Claw” is a world organization that has penetrated into all spheres of activity, has grown so strong that it can safely start a revolution. But for some reason, in Portland, so important for them, there are only a couple of people and a faceless extra. Massage merges in the first series. How? It just had to be removed from the story. The backbone of “Claw”, before that always intelligent and thinking dozens of steps forward, loses the rough straightforwardness of the makeup in literally five episodes. Trying to kill or arrest Nick is ridiculous. And their only goal was to bring the plot to the death of the local cone “Claw”.
And you think the global organization that needs Portland so badly did something to take back control of the city? Nope! They just disappeared in an instant, as soon as the police captain refused to help them.
But come on, the holes of the last season can be listed for a long time, and then remember the absurdity of the previous series. Let's talk about heroes.
Grimm - after each season, he gets some knowledge, abilities, experience in the end. But in case of danger, he does not use any of this. And why, if you can once again whine and take screen time.
Juliet is probably one of the three characters I want to keep in the series. She's got purpose, she's got principles, and she's more alive than anyone else in the series.
Eve is the same Juliet, but with a new character and goals. What? What happened to her? We won't know that. Forget it, this character just has to be in the series for a loveless triangle.
Hank is a dead makeup appendage. A character without purpose, without history, without logic. He's in the show just to run around with his partner and do nothing. A couple of series with his active participation did not solve the problem.
Wu is another extra doll. Character with humor, with a significant role. But to realize its potential for the creators of the series was not easy. No history, no motives, just another faceless employee who faced another world a couple of times and did not learn to interact with it.
The police captain is a separate topic for conversation. Then he tries to kill the makeup, then use, then be friends, then again his enemy, then again his companion. And all because he wanted to. No consistency in action, no final goal, no aspirations. It is not clear how such a short-sighted character could be in control.
Adalind - it may seem that this poor thing was a victim of circumstances. But, let’s remember that she five seasons in a row did everything to harm the makeup and co, and in the last as a battered mongrel ran to him waving a child. The logic of the act? It was profitable for her to use makeup, and Nick was satisfied with it, he also vitally needs to take care of someone. I am personally only disgusted by this.
The trouble came out of nowhere and went nowhere. Apart from the fact that this is a makeup with an unpleasant childhood, not a word is said about the character. Her role is a piano in the bushes.
Monroe and Rosalie are typical of Nick's tech support. But it feels like the characters have a history, a past, that they didn’t come out of thin air like everyone else. You believe them, you live with them. And they are even given quite a lot of time. Perhaps this is the only branch fully revealed in the series. On the other hand, their story is quite simple and there could not have been any difficulties in it initially.
Otherwise, the characters appear out of nowhere, disappear into nowhere, all world-wide events dissolve into oblivion after tiny local failures, the actions of previous seasons are forgotten and thrown into the trash, most of the characters do not develop, and their logic does not lend itself to any sane explanation, and the personal problems of each simply recline as unnecessary in the plot without any solution.
The plots of the series are simple and boring, although packaged in an unusual wrapper. None of the heroes have a final goal. Some achievements and development can be seen only in a couple of people from a dozen army of heroes.
The quality of graphics for an ordinary series is also not at high, although it does not cause outright disgust.
In general, the series is only happy with the idea and some pleasant moments. If you look at the picture as a whole, it is a set of clichés and outright absurdity.
I can't say I regret the time I spent with Grimm. Despite all the shortcomings, the series is catchy. Holes and inconsistencies cause only fleeting disgust. The scene changes, and disgust is replaced by the expectation of something special, unexpected. But the series ended, and nothing special happened. The plot and logical holes are nowhere, we haven’t learned anything about most of the characters in 6 years, and everything else is as it was and remains.
This series was recommended to me by a friend 5 years ago. The series liked, indeed, by the third season became worse, but it was still quite interesting and kept a certain bar as supernatural until recently, not rolling down at all, but remaining a good and pleasant series. I have experienced a lot over these 5 years, and this series became one of the first and most memorable. I didn’t expect it to end so soon, but it has to end. And today, 1.04.17, I watched the last episode of this good show. It is very sad to part with him, because he became a kind of iconic for me, although there was nothing quite new and outstanding there. I remember 5 years ago, when I saw that there were horrors in the tags, I decided at one o’clock in the morning whether I should start watching it now or postpone it to the next evening, at an earlier time, but still I started at once. I remember seeing the first monster in the series, I thought that not very well their faces of creatures made, thought, and whether it can scare anyone, where in the tags horrors? What was really frightening was the quotes from the beginning of the series, phrases from old books, symbolizing and indirectly telling what the series will be about. When I remember how much has changed in me, how much I have changed over the years, it becomes sad, because although I have not watched the series since the first season, but only from the third, but I remember it, and still sometimes come to mind all sorts of different thoughts about it, memories of what I saw. Thanks to the creators of this series and the actors for these 5 years, I hope there will be something so significant for me, because I watched a lot of TV shows, even very, highlighted my list of the best, where the makeup does not fall, but nothing else like it in the atmosphere I did not look.
The series 'Grimm' I started watching since the release of the first episode of the first season, and all because I always loved series where the fairytale world is intertwined with the real. There are many such series, but this one hooked me immediately, if only because the fairy-tale meaning and fictional characters hide far from fairy-tale crimes.
The meaning of the series is quite simple - an ordinary police officer from the homicide department learns that he has Grimm's gift, namely, to see supernatural creatures, which helps him to further solve crimes.
Look for a human within you, even if you are a creature.
The strength of the series is that the fairy tales of well-known authors are presented from a new side, the main motif of the old fairy tale is preserved, which is transferred to modern reality. In addition, a huge variety of creatures and the constant appearance of new heroes do not let you get bored. The same action takes place in a beautiful town that looks a little gingerbread with its Victorian architecture, beautiful mesmerizing landscapes. In such a town will want to be any lover of fairy tales. Very beautiful music, especially in the credits, for the first time I do not want to rewind the credits to listen to this beautiful composition. The special effects could have been a little better, but you can easily close your eyes to this, since it is much more interesting to watch the actors play here.
The actors of the series also attract attention, especially the two most beloved. David Gintoli playing Nick Burkhardt (Grimm) is incredibly charming, pleasant appearance, without claims to a model podium, with blue eyes, it is incredibly pleasant to look at, especially the female half of the audience. Actor Silas Ware Mitchell, who plays Monroe the Ripper, because of whom I started watching the series, coped with his role very well. Charm and charisma of the character, as well as his friendship with the main character - make the series even more interesting.
In my opinion, the series in a fabulous form teaches goodness and true friendship, which is quite relevant in modern reality. It’s very sad that the last season has just started, although I think it would be possible to develop a few more storylines and do a bunch of investigations.
