Nicholas Edward Cave was born in Australia (Warracanabil, a suburb of Melbourne) on September 22, 1957. After graduation, Nick continued his studies at the College of Arts in Caulfield. During his college years, he met Mick Harvey, with whom he later formed the Boys Next Door. The group disbanded in 1980. The Birthday Party is a new project. After the release of several records and a number of concerts, their next band ceased to exist in 1983. Cave's new band, The Bad Seeds, was more successful.

Cave's new band, The Bad Seeds, was more successful. It was created in West Berlin. The band's albums From Here to Eternity, The Firstborn Is Dead, Your Funeral, My Trial, Tender Prey have gained many fans and strengthened Nick and his band's position in the world of alternative rock. Shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall, Cave went to Brazil, where he met his future wife, Vivien Carneiro. In 1991, she gave birth to her son Luke. After breaking up with Carneiro in 1993, Nick and his son returned to London. During this time, he released one of his most striking music albums Let Love In.
In 199, a new stage in Nick’s musical work began. His music became more calm, ballad, and the overall sound acquired a chamber hue. Nick Cave's numerous music albums are widely distributed across the country. In addition to music, Nick is fond of literary creativity. He is the author of the famous books “The Death of Banri Monroe”, “The King of Ink”, “And the donkey will see the angel of God”. Nick Cave was also quite successful in films. One of his most successful films was the film “Sky over Berlin” directed by Wim Wenders.
In 1999, Cave married for the second time to the beautiful model Suzy Bick. In 2000, a happy couple had twin sons.
