British actor Hans Matheson was born on August 7, 1975 in Stornway, located in Scotland on the Isle of Lewis. When Hans was still very small, the family moved to Canterbury, Kent, in the UK. It cannot be said that Hans has been raving about acting since childhood, but noticing his son’s remarkable abilities, his mother insisted that he enter the Avondale Hall School of Dramatic Art in Clapham. Preparation for the acting profession fascinated Hans, and he eventually wanted to get started as soon as possible. Hans went to audition for the TV series “Christmas”, but received another offer – participation in the play “Mojo” on the stage of the Royal Theatre and then – and to the role in the film of the same name. After that, the directors began to attack Matheson with proposals, and it was not even six months that he was not busy with any project, or even two or three at once. In the 90s, he was known for his participation in the TV series “Wycliffe” (1994) and “Bramwell” (1996), and then for his excellent work in the films “Focus Stella” (1996), “All the same crazy” (1998) and “Sham” (1999).
The beginning of the new millennium was marked for Hans Matheson with a lot of interesting work. His most prominent roles were in the films Doctor Zhivago (2002), Roman Empire: Nero (2003), Sherlock Holmes (2009) and Battle of the Titans (2010). /
