Georgy Yakovlevich Martyniuk, a theater and film artist, was born on March 3, 1940 in Orenburg.
The childhood of little George passed in the Urals. The boy grew up calm, thoughtful, shy. At the same time, when his peers were chasing football, spending time carefree on the river, Gosha was attached to a black home repeater and could listen to dramatic radio plays for hours. It was during this time that he loved to be alone and let his dreams come true. He listened to the repeater and in his imagination flashed scenes with real heroes.
George also liked to attend rehearsals of performances of the Orenburg Theatre, in which his older brother took part. In high school, Gosh enrolled in the drama club at the city Teacher's House, and this was the beginning of his acting biography.
Very soon Georgy Martyniuk made his debut on the stage, when he played the main role in the play “When the acacia blooms”.
George very seriously and very long "sick theater." After graduating from school, without notifying his parents, he went to Moscow to enter GITIS. Having learned about the creative intentions of his son, the parents were categorically against the decision taken by him, citing the fact that one artist was enough in the family. George was stubborn and persistent in achieving the goal. And from the first time, despite the huge competition, he entered GITIS.
In the last year of the Institute, George took an active part in educational performances. The most successful of them - "White Nights Wires" - caused a furor throughout Moscow. This performance was staged under the patronage of the head of the Moscow Drama Theatre. The director noticed the talented student, his ability to move on stage, speak correctly and beautifully and after graduating from the institute invited Martyniuk to his troupe.
His first great experience in cinema Georgy Martyniuk received in
Silence Director V. Basov.
In 1971, in the acting life of Martyniuk there was an unexpected and rapid rise, namely, director Vyacheslav Brovkin invited the actor to play the role of Znamensky in the series “The investigation is led by experts” about life, everyday life of the police.
The last series of “Experts” was released in 1989, this seemed to stop the film career of the talented actor. The theater remained the salvation during these difficult years for the artist. And only in the late 90s Georgy Martyniuk again appeared in the cinema. The painting “Secrets of palace coups” brought him unexpected success.
People's Artist of Russia Georgy Martyniuk died on February 13, 2014.
