American singer and composer Alice Cooper (whose real name is Damon Vincent Fournier) was born on February 4, 1948 in Detroit (Michigan, USA). He assembled his first band, Earwings, in high school, later renamed Spiders, then Nazz. After moving to Los Angeles, the band became Alice Cooper. Subsequently, this name became the stage name of the leader of the group. In Frank Zappa's studio, the band recorded their first two albums, "Pretties For You" (1967) and "Easy Action" (1970), but were unsuccessful. At the end of 1970, the band was noticed by the famous producer Bob Ezrin, and their first joint album "Love It To Death", released in 1971, became "gold". In their work, the group moved from melodic songs to hard rock, organically combining spirit and dynamics. In the early 1970s, a series of platinum albums was released: "Killer", "School's Out", "Billion Dollar Babies". The audience was also attracted to Alice Cooper by the unusualness of his speeches, and he himself stated that his task was to shock the brainless bourgeois and aesthetic snobs. In 1974, Cooper broke up with his band and, having released with the new composition the disc "Muscle Of Love", began a solo career. Among the successful works of this period are Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), From The Inside (1978), and Special Forces (1981). In the 1980s, Alice Cooper began to record less often, although they came out good, but starred in several films. Recent albums include Trash (1987), Hey Stoopid (1991), The Last Temptation (1994), and Fistful of Alice (2000).
