His parents named him James Christopher at birth. When he started modeling, he shortened his name to Chris, and Chris Carmack was born. He was born in Washington in 1980 and grew up in Maryland, where the family moved. In school, Chris was fond of sports: he played baseball, basketball, football, wrestling. He first appeared on stage at the children's model show "Seneca Creek Day Camp", where he sang the song "Rocko the Lazy Moth" in the choir. In high school, Chris became interested in theater, participated in many festivals, worked on school plays. After graduation, Christopher entered New York University’s Tisch School, intending to study fine arts. However, as is often the case, he was tempted by a “quick career”. Bruce Weber was looking for a model for Abercrombie & Fitch. When he saw Christopher, he realized that the young man absolutely corresponds to the type he intended. Christopher was offered a job and the university was abandoned. For two years, Christopher’s face appeared in fashion magazines and catalogs. He advertised products such as Lord and Taylor, Macy's, Target, Who.A.U, Elle France, Nautica, Guess?, Cosmogirl. But then Chris thought about a serious acting career, which he dreamed of since childhood.
What do young American men and women who dream of becoming movie stars do? Of course, they go to Los Angeles, confident that in Hollywood (and only there) their talents will be immediately appreciated. So did Chris Carmack. He was quickly offered a role in the TV series Lonely Hearts, however, warning that, most likely, the series will be limited to one season. Chris didn't agree to that. After some time in the studios, he remembered the company “Abercrombie & Fitch” and hired to advertise the elite brand “Ezra Fitch”. A year later, he was invited to cast for a role in a comedy.
Love on the Island . Christopher played that role and ... again went unclaimed. He decided to try himself as a theater actor and for several months played in experimental productions of the Laura Pels Theatre. Chris Carmack later appeared in Desperate Housewives and The Butterfly Effect 3: Revelation. Apparently, the rise of the actor’s career is still ahead.
