Daniel Dae Kim is a professional television series actor and one of the hundred sexiest men in the world. He is unlikely to rise above this bar. Daniel himself blames Hollywood, where there are very few roles in feature films for people of Asian appearance. Anyway, the actor is going to fight this problem, he is not one of those who are used to giving up.
Daniel Day Kim was born in Busan, South Korea, on August 4, 1968. When the boy was 2 years old, his family moved to the United States and settled in Easton, Pennsylvania. Once Kim learned to speak, he declared his desire to become an actor, and the family had nothing against it. After graduating from high school, he entered Haverford College on a dual specialization - acting and politics. To improve the level, Daniel also graduated from Bryn Mour College and acting courses in New York.
With such baggage and experience in various theaters, Dai Kim expected, if not immediately become a star, then at least in a couple of years, but he was offered only small roles of evil Asians: American Shaolin (1991), Jackal (1997), Hulk (2003). However, the actor was still lucky – he was chosen for the role of Jean Kwon in the television drama Lost (2004-2010). And although he did not come out of the usual role, in this series he managed to reveal the character and gain long-awaited popularity. In 2010, he received one of the main roles of Chin Ho Kelly in the series “Hawaii 5-0”, which he performs to this day.
In addition to actively fighting for more roles for Asians, Daniel Day Kim struggles with AIDS and violence. He is also involved in several drunk driving scandals, for which he publicly apologized. The actor currently lives in Hawaii with his wife and two children. /
