She was born in Leningrad on December 5, 1958. In 1980, Irina graduated from the Department of Drama Directing of the Krupskaya Leningrad Institute of Culture in the class of Professor R. A. Sirota, after which she was invited to the Lunacharsky Sevastopol Drama Theater. There she played roles that received the recognition of the audience and the theatrical community: Aglaya in the “Idiot” by F. M. Dostoevsky, Nina in “The Elder Son” by A. Vampilov. In 1988, Irina Tsvetkova for the role of Manyushka in the play “Zoykina Apartment” (registered by Yu. Aksenov) became the winner of the STD Leningrad award for the best role of the season.
