Soviet and Russian film and theater actor Mikhail Viktorovich Danilov was born in Leningrad on April 29, 1937. After graduating from the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in 1965, he finally decided on the choice of profession.
In 1966, Mikhail Danilov became an actor of the Bolshoi Drama Theatre. Working here, he played dozens of roles, creating "precise stylistic images." The audience of the theater could see in his performance the role of the manager in the play “Third Guard”, the lawyer in “Defender Ulyanov”, the father in the play “Cinema story with one intermission”, etc. Mikhail Danilov especially loved the theme of “little man”, who is endowed with a modest fate, but good character and nobility of actions.
Russian actor Mikhail Danilov achieved great popularity in cinema. At that time, the directors considered in this actor the uniqueness and special shine in the eyes, which is noticeable to every viewer. After that, he worked on television projects.
Autumn Story (1979), playing the role of the school principal, and My Dearly Beloved Detective (1986).
The great work of Mikhail Danilov was the role of Berlioz in the production of Bulgakov’s work “The Master and Margarita” (1994). The complexity of the literary image easily succumbed to the talented actor, who brilliantly conveyed the character of the hero. As noted by film critics, this is due to his ability to truthfully and accurately show emotions, for which he was called a close-up master. Mikhail Danilov showed the same abilities in the films “The wife of a kerosene worker” (1988), “The Island of a Rusty General” (1988), “Black rose is an emblem of sorrow, red rose is an emblem of love” (1989) and “Anecdotes” (1990).
