" - Well, come on, say yes. Everyone says no, and be original!
The battle scenes lost their realism, but became much more spectacular. Heroes have not only to shoot and fight – Riggs, for example, in the Berserker heat will suddenly invent a new way of instant demolition of buildings.
There is no longer such a cutting eye division of the film into a dramatic introduction and the action itself. But a certain dissonance in the film is felt, although it is more difficult to catch. The fact is that by making the film both funny and serious to the point of tragedy, the creators of Lethal Weapon 2 left these layers unmixed. There is no real tragicomedy here. A typical police comedy - in itself, a typical pompous action movie - in itself. Comic and serious scenes are clearly alternated. It seems to be one movie, and the intersection points are zero.
But this does not spoil the film, which looks, as they say, in one breath. I’m glad the director didn’t stop there.
All the ideas of the first film in the second are perfected. Great action movie and witty comedy with charismatic heroes.
