The future author of music was born in 1948 in New York on April 15. He studied at the Higher School of Music and Art in New York, after which he entered the Juilliard School. He made a successful career as an arranger, collaborating with many famous musicians and performers, began to work actively in cinema in the early 1980s, and established himself as a music writer, arranger and music producer of such films as “Hudson Hawk”, “He Who Takes Care of Me”, “Three Musketeers” (author of the song “All For Love”), “Don Juan de Marco” (which brought the composer a second Oscar nomination for the song “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman?”), “Open Simple” and many other works.
In 1997, Kamen was diagnosed with a serious disease - multiple sclerosis. On November 18, 2003, he died of a heart attack and died in London.
