A beautiful surreal work. From the point of view of the external side alone, of course, this can not be, because there are too many questions - the assumption is too large for mere fiction. However, the film is metaphorical, and it’s not just another cool story about dystopia and escape. It's a story about the opposition of the individual to the crowd, about the lies, about the degradation of human values, and all of this was conveyed beautifully. Very strong scenes of how the whole city of former friends and colleagues goes to hunt the hero at night, how the moon turns into a search lantern, how the sun rises on the orders of the director. There is only one thing in the film that I would like to change - unfortunately, the viewer from the very beginning does not hide the essence of the reality in which the hero lives. In my opinion, it would be worth the first 20 minutes to introduce the viewer to a mystical misunderstanding of what is happening with the hero.
Of course, there are minor questions. For example, all the residents of the show, except Truman, are actors with a salary, but they do not have the opportunity to spend their money decently, because they always live in a scenery city. The hero has a childhood friend, i.e. a boy from kindergarten age was a plant duck and never talked, he also had no life outside the show. It is not clear how you can look at the life of a simple person every day, it is boring. And when he was a kid, especially. But these are all things that had to be sacrificed for the idea of the film.
