Andrew Niccol was born in the New Zealand region of Wellington, Paraparaumu, on June 10, 1964. After school, he entered the gymnasium of Auckland, and then moved to the UK, where he began directing. For about ten years, Andrew worked on creating television commercials, after which he decided that it was time to promote professional growth, and went to work in Los Angeles.

The film received such awards as the “Fun Trophy” in Gerarmer at the festival of science fiction films, the prize at the International Film Festival of Catalonia, the film distribution award of Germany and the prize of the London Society of Film Critics.
Niccoll’s script for the film “The Truman Show” interested producer Scott Rudin, as a result, the film was shot in 1998, Australian film director Peter Weir worked on it. The film also received many different awards, including the Golden Globe and Oscar awards. Critics praised the role of comic Jim Carrie, who played a major role in the film.
In 2002, Andrew Niccol had already gained a reputation as a talented director and screenwriter, so he had the opportunity to make a film according to his own script.
