Disappointment. 2 and a half hours of thrust.
It begins kind of cheerfully, again the Nazis looking for artifacts that are "Belongs in the musical." And the Nazis are a win-win, they are not sorry. This, by the way, is the basis of everything in the film about the antagonists - they are Nazis, they, even under cover, behave like Nazis, say things that the Nazis should say, and do things that the Nazis should do. All, nothing more, a piece of cardboard, behind it there is emptiness. And so that the viewer does not forget that the villains are Nazis, the main characters of the film constantly say it out loud.
Well, I was distracted, the introduction. It (introductory) is like nothing, young Harrison Ford hits his face (because, as you know, in his fists, the bullets do not end), Thomas Kretchman for the first time plays foshyzda, everyone runs, everything explodes. Technically, very good. And the work of artists, and graphon, and even the computer face of Ford on the understudy (with reservations, shoals are visible in places). It's a Benny Hill show, but it's not that funny. Compressions, constant escapes, outright stupidity of actions and the most pumped luck of the main character. He doesn’t seem like a hero at all. He is just a few times in a row fantastically lucky while he runs away, and as a result, something extraordinarily stupid happens and the foshyzds end by themselves.
Then we're transported back to the '60s, Professor Jones is old and tired and he's not interested. Anyway, Ford plays himself. But fate is destiny, it is found by a brisk goddaughter and everything is turned again. It turns, frankly, disgusting. It’s like last year’s Ancharted, when it’s kind of expensive-bagato and joyful to recognize, but the adventures themselves are nothing. Villains are demonstratively villainous, jokes are joked, locations change, chases constantly occur, the main character swims with the flow, aki a log. Villains, too, by the way, themselves can not do a damn and are constantly "deviously" following the trail. It's two hours. At their end, the film still steers to something warm and lamp, there are some adventures, jokes the only really good joke of the film, there is a really interesting event - and even this merges. Instead of a bright and bold finale of the story of the great archaeologist-adventurer, the plot bluntly steers to a melodrama with fan service. It’s also clearly something cut, as there are scenes from the finale in the trailer that aren’t in the film.
By actors:
Harrison Ford plays well, sometimes Jones, sometimes himself. Computer rejuvenation is qualitative, not always successful, in one scene and just bad.
Phoebe Waller-Bridge didn’t cause rejection, she drowned in moderation for feminism, but, in my opinion, she is not suitable for this role, not the type.
Mads Mikkelsen – as always beautiful and tries, but he can not escape the fact that the character is terrible. It's a cross between Kecilius of Doctor Strange and Grindelwald. Shame.
Boyd Holbrook is charismatic, but the character breaks the laws of physics - he is less than one-dimensional.
Also in the film there is a mad teenager, without whom the plot would be better, but I do not even want to talk about it.
In the end - a passerby, clearly worse than "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull", the inglorious finale of the great film series.
