The prequel to the Hunger Games did not show a miracle. To explain how this wonderful society works, he failed, even quite the opposite.
You can talk as much as you like about the fact that this is a typical teenage movie, but there are not even teenage jokes - neither love stories nor a normal action movie. The first Hunger Games were held in a round concrete arena - it's not particularly spectacular to watch suffocators cut each other in the square. In Rome, from which this society of the future was licked, gladiators were trained and prepared for battles to give people a spectacle. Here only in the tenth year came up with mentors.
Motivation in the characters is not tight, so, opponents of the Hunger Games, themselves participate in their development, and a rebellious mentor eventually wants to become a cool shot in the Capitol.
But to follow the inconsistencies in the logic of the behavior of the characters once, the general appearance of those who came from starving districts is puzzling. It feels like they should be feeding the suffocators from the capital. This feeling is aggravated when the action is transferred to the districts themselves. The sea of greenery, taverns, overrun by the people and the motivation to remain in the form of “you get up when you want, but you collect food”, it is generally unclear what they are striking and what the guards from the capital do not abandon their weapons and do not settle next to the locals on fertile soil.
Terribly stupid and lengthy. At the same time, the plot is presented so ineptly that it is necessary to follow it with effort.
