This is such a criminal adventure film, shot not in full seriousness, but with a lot of satire on quite historical material, like in the 18th century in England there were actually such robbers - one former apothecary with the appearance of a commoner (played by Robert Carlyle), and the other - a former military man with a very pretty face (played by Johnny Lee Miller) unite among themselves and begin to rob the rich. They are a real hunt, but they are almost elusive. All this action unfolds against a very unsightly background of not at all pastoral life of that time and especially interesting musical accompaniment, which is not only modern, but also quite original. The film, in principle, for its genre is quite good.
