The Risk Price of Yves Boisse, 1982. This is an adaptation of Sheckley’s story “Risk Prize”, and he is an American writer, but the fact that this adaptation was first made by the French is a fact, as with the novel “Tell No One”, its author is also an American, and the first filmed by Canet, and we will definitely compare it. I also saw the film with Arnold, but I did not make such an impression, and here there are such great actors - except Lanven - Piccoli, Kremer. Now this kind of film is not so few, but I remember when I watched it for the first time, made a strong impression. I watched The Price of Risk and was once again convinced that it was a great film, which has not lost its relevance since then. The crowd has always been thirsty for blood, almost everyone dreams of killing someone after passing a huge contest, someone gets this opportunity, and here they show how immorality has reached its climax. On TV came up with a program (which is typical, invented a woman), in which five armed men chase an unarmed man, and if he manages to escape, he will receive a huge amount of money. In fact, it is absolutely impossible to escape - one desperate decided to challenge, but for him it did not end well. It’s a bit like the story of Running Man, as Cyril rightly said, but I think it’s a much better movie. It is not surprising that Sheckley, according to whose story the Price of Risk is set, turns out to have sued the creators of The Runner for plagiarism, although the script, albeit under a pseudonym, was written by Stephen King, who, however, forbade his name in the credits, so as not to be disgraced at all. Well, of course, comparing Arnie to Lanven is completely inappropriate, Lanven is so handsome, and Arnie I do not like at all.
