Only one will be remembered Knowing how the fourth Harry Potter movie turned out, I was afraid not only to go to the premiere of the fifth film, but also to start watching it in principle. Despite the fact that this film was one of the most anticipated premieres of the year. Despite the encouraging change of director.
It seems that the screenwriter has never read bestsellers and recorded all the actions from the words of fans who vying and excitedly told what these books are. Therefore, many facts are distorted or invented. At the same time, all these enthusiastic stories Waldenberg decided to cut a little and buy time.
The film is full of unnecessary "ridiculous" moments. All the meaning that was read in the epic between the lines, the writer boldly scattered on the lines of secondary characters. I cannot forget the disgusting and raw dialogues that are written for the inseparable trinity - listening to them is too unpleasant.
As a result of the script I can say: the picture is completely lacking integrity, it all looks like, say, a series of short films about the adventures of Harry Potter, filmed by directors engaged in different directions in cinema. The events in the film change dramatically and unpredictably quickly. But despite the wild dynamics, there are moments in the picture when you can get bored. My verdict: such a diverse, colorful, gloomy and, I am not afraid of this word, stupid script in the Potterian has never been.
David Yates. He had a difficult task, because it was in this film that the transition from childhood to the youth of the main characters was to take place. So, apparently, Yates tried at times to either flood the picture with sunlight or plunge it into complete darkness. This contrast only reinforced the sense of isolation of each episode.
The way I filmed one of the worst kisses I've ever seen in a movie... Harry and Zhou, not only does not hide the shortcomings of this scene, but puts them on display, making the already not the best moment of the film the most terrible.
Hogwarts. Why did you need to get rid of the usual portraits on the walls of the castle? The wall with decrees is shown too globally. I'll mark Umbridge's office. A semicircular room in pink with nasty kittens on the walls was successful.
I was very disappointed with the Ministry of Magic. The building was presented in the form of a public toilet (I was in one – tile exactly one), decorated with golden reliefs and generously launched advertising of the Minister of Magic in the full width and height, which allowed the room. In principle, I liked the fountain, but the creators do not support only one thing – it should not be divided into several parts.
The threat of change. I remember not being impressed by the Dementors in the third film, although it was pretty similar to the description in the books. Apparently, I was not alone confused by the sight of the guards of Azkaban, and, the creators in their own way “corrected” the situation, now they are not in the picture, there are charred mummies that can fly. It seems that in each film, even spells should act differently (as it is, when it is the spell “Turn out!” the opponent threw back a couple of meters?) Explain to me why Patronus can knock a man down.
How good it is when things don’t change. I liked the pictures and the headlines. The black dog, the appearance of Sirius, did not change, but it did not improve, because I did not like this detail because of its improbability.
Why old movies are valued more. First, Kikimer. To be honest, my first impression was that I had seen something like this somewhere, and I know where, in the first film on the back of Ian Hart’s head. Second, festrals, quite strange, and I imagined them completely different.
About why they still watch new movies. Grimaud's square is not bad, although I imagined the house a little differently. But the second – the creators have spent money on completely unnecessary things, for example, flying around the class note. And this fact made it possible to get rid of quite interesting episodes of the novel, for example, the Ministry of Magic.
I don’t remember the music, although I watched the movie today, it says something. Only wiped to the holes interpretation familiar from the first film theme, but it has long been not happy, as exhausted.
I can’t call Radcliffe an actor. He absolutely cannot cope with his facial expressions, there are no intonations in his voice, movements are very insecure and, sometimes, inappropriate. It is on the example of our glorious Potter that one of the greatest drawbacks of today's cinema is clearly visible - the choice of actors solely by appearance.
Michael Gambon. With every new film, I get more and more disappointed. With his game, Michael brings to the hopeful and calm character, a share of imbalance and a certain madness that rather makes a great director look like an evil wizard.
Grint once tried to play, and he sometimes succeeded, but apparently he was not interested in five films. Watson is still trying, and sometimes something comes out of it. I want to note the moment with Simus Finnigan - the actor clearly has seen Westerns.
Separately, I would like to say about those who liked. I can’t say I’m excited about the Weasley twins, but they’re clearly winning. Neville Longpoops. I liked this actor in the first parts, but by the fifth there is a tendency to decrease effort, which can not but upset, especially when his character was allocated screen time. It was nice to see only Halfumn. You can immediately see that the girl is, if not a fan, so certainly a lover of books, as she tried very hard and her efforts were not in vain.
It looks colorful in the frame of Isaacs. Staunton, although not suitable for my image of Ambridge, but played well, and it turned out the desired effect. Robbie Coltrane. Hagrid's performance looks good.
And now for those who didn’t like it. Knowing who Thompson is, I can't believe she played Trelawney. Just as simply anger is lacking in the vision of the director's character Warwick Davis. Where did Yates see Fleetwick in the book as an unpleasant-looking gentleman containing a school choir?
Alan Rickman. This actor impressed me from the very first film with his unique and absolutely correct vision of his character. It did well, but there are a few complaints against other creators. Why does Snape look so old? Why continue the familiarity that somehow looked out in this character Michael Newell.
Helena Bonham Carter. Absolutely not suitable for the role of Bellatrice, did not try. The only thing I will say is that I understand her. It seemed like a good time, at least had fun.
The most terrible, boring and incomprehensible adaptation of this series. But maybe that’s not the limit.
