My enemy You owe nothing to this world, and you never were.
You can’t go into the same river twice, so Batman v Superman is almost Snyder off the leash and Goyer’s scripted madness, but somehow saved by the intervention of Ben Affleck and Chris Terrio. Yes, it turned out a lot, but it is never boring!
You should immediately understand that the confrontation between the two titans of DC comics should not be motivated by personal hatred or naively hold on to any misunderstanding, as we are told throughout the first act. The premises of the conflict are deftly untwisted by the manipulator, and now a man in super armor is fighting an angry living god.
Are you going to start a war? The origins of the conflict, one way or another, are drowned out by a whole string of side storylines. Frankly superfluous episodes with the Senator, an absolutely failed plot with Bezlegim, allegedly somehow influencing the situation of the confrontation, a detective story about a bullet with a journalistic investigation, so that Lois Lane was not furniture and Madame “save me, I fall”, and absolutely unnecessary, albeit wildly cool Doomsday.
“Batman v Superman” scenario tries to sit on so many chairs, weaving into the plot and politics, and religion, and some moral choices, coupled with investigations about the cargo of the ship and all the same experimental cartridge that can not look any other than a patchwork blanket.
Moreover, the film loses its own concept, barely begins to rock. At first, we are given everything by chapter: The murder of the Wayne couple, next - the world learns about Superman, and... This “chapters” seem to end, the episodes begin, which each in itself is very good (not even clear as a scene squeezed into the narrative with Lois naked in the bathroom), but all together look like a heaped portion of salad.
Clark Kent meets Bruce Wayne!
The images are built correctly, the film’s sex shows us how different Superman and Batman are, the second half of the film – how much they have in common!
And yet, Ben Affleck is almost the best thing that happened to Batman in his movie incarnations. Tough, stern, truly terrifying, brutal bonfire, sadist and murderer. The Batman we deserve to see on the screen, which previously had only dreamed.
Reasoning in the spirit ' My enemy is omnipotent and cannot be defeated' Bruce Wayne takes with dexterity, cunning and traps, arranging a real hunt for Superman, while playing exclusively in his field. But the image of Clark is still a lousy failure.
The devils do not rise to us from under the earth, they come down from heaven.
The secondary caste struggles not to hit the mud with its face, not knowing too much sometimes what they all do in this epic battle of the titans. Lois is busy investigating, Martha pushes smart speeches, Anatoly Knyazev is just a pleasant surprise from the comics and an obligatory scoundrel.
Lex Luthor... at least he's not as disgraceful and as failing as Spacey and Singer were. Thanks for that already. The new Lex is a strange, active, battery-powered energizer or on some stimulants-energy.
Almost every character of the second plan has a strong monologue in the picture or at least a catchy, heart-beating phrase. Surprisingly, they all work, and most even remember.
Do you bleed? You will!
That's what makes the movie so good! Yes, it is patchy, uneven, controversial in a number of moments and even to reveal both characters to the end does not work for the entire team of authors and creators of this sweeping film canvas, but how nice little things are here, drawing on their shoulders a lot of flaws!
The moment of baldness Lex, the appearance of Superman at the flood, a nightmare from the future, a Batmobile hit on Clark suddenly appeared, a rescue for a little girl by each of the superheroes, and even as if the extra Doomsday here is truly magnificent! It absorbs energy, grows spikes, gets stronger every time.
Action and muzzle are thrilling. When you want to watch Batman v Superman, you expect a great duel of these two superheroes, and the film fully meets all expectations for spectacular fights and cool special effects.
If a man cannot kill God, the devil will.
Blockbuster for more than two hundred million dollars looks for every cent. Costumes, scenery, special effects, backs, motion animation, and, in the end, the monstrous Doomsday!
It's almost perfect. You can’t hide behind the explosions, the devastation does not cut your eyes with cartoons, all the textures are honed to the ideal, and the final battle is really luxurious, multifaceted and has no small timekeeping.
It is not clear where the rushing Snyder and Goyer manage to link together several cult comic stories into a single film plot, weaving into the third act the inevitable combination of two icons of the genre.
Is she with you?
It seems that one of the main tasks was “to show strong female characters against the background of two strong men”. Fighting and stubborn Lois, the incorruptible female senator, the wise Martha Kent, and the spectacular output of Wonder Woman in full costume, with a shield and sword.
Everything is at the highest level of seriousness. The film does not try to make the viewer smile and make humorous pauses, however, it does not crush all its harsh gloom, and spectacularly and very spectacularly entertains the full program!
Behind the shoulders of brave men are always no less courageous women. Even though the film 10 times exploits the “sudden” appearance of Superman, barely Miss Lane is in trouble, let Wayne constantly reflect on the death of the family, and Lex in the end generally remembers about the cruel father-tyrant, each heroine against the background of all this flawlessly plays its own plot function inside the story shown.
Batman v Superman... The story is independent, but not holistic, roughness and angles here smooth out the beautiful moments of confrontation. Battles, fights, explosions, broken walls and ceilings, erased buildings, flights into space, attacks of nuclear missiles and all kinds of laser beams.
Various allegories, metaphors, the transfer of well-established plots to the language of cinema came out so well that at the end, even all the sins of the script are unwittingly forgiven for the film, for the entire impressive epic.
... at the dawn of justice. Although it always seemed obvious, after a spectacular fight, uniting against a common super-strong enemy is in any case the most successful solution for the final part of this story.
Another thing is that the “common enemy” seemed to Lex Luthor, and a cunning mega-brain takes the place of tireless strength and all-consuming vitality. Which allows you to unlock the arsenal of both Batman and Wonder Woman.
The film was undoubtedly a success. A large-scale epic canvas under a powerful and triumphant soundtrack tells an interesting confrontation and unification of two DC icons on the screen.
Dark, but superhero, tough, but entertaining, with scope and high-quality special effects, with cool fights and all kinds of gadgets. Even with all its script flaws and lack of integrity in the patchwork of beautiful scenes, Batman v Superman is definitely one of the best comic books in history!
