He was born in 1967 in a creative family: his father is writer Wyatt Emory Cooper, his mother is an artist, actress and socialite, the heiress of a large fortune Gloria Vanderbilt. Thanks to his roots, Anderson was on the cover of the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazar in his infancy, and at the age of three together with his mother appeared in the popular evening entertainment project The Tonight Show.
When Anderson was 11 years old, his father died of heart disease, and ten years later, jumping from the fourteenth floor, his older brother Carter committed suicide. This tragedy prompted him to pursue journalism. After graduating from Yale University, he traveled widely, saw the horrors of the genocide in Rwanda, the wars in Somalia and Bosnia.
Since 1995, Cooper began working for ABC, where he made a successful career, and then moved to CNN.
Anderson Cooper often appears in a variety of TV projects as a guest star or reads text behind the scenes. In particular, his cameo is noted in a fantastic thriller.
