The King's Speech tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stutter and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country into war.

Colin Firth as George VI is very convincing. The journey from a Zaik prince to a king who gives speeches supporting his subjects during World War II is a long and difficult one. The reasons why the future king began to stutter, in childhood, which was a lot of cruelty, injustice and violence towards a small child. It is good that his speech therapist is not just a speech therapist, but a deep psychologist and a subtly sensitive person. And the impossible becomes possible. And every speech is a feat of the human heart, will and voice. Because we are the voice.

As my husband asked me, “What did they want to achieve?” To show that being a king is worse than being an ordinary man? I think it was an audience with my parents. As my husband asked me, “What did they want to achieve?” To show that being a king is worse than being an ordinary man? I think it was an audience with my parents. Interesting, but the objectivity of historical events does not leave confidence: it really seems that the king should be pityed and respected at least only for his childhood, and no matter how he shows himself for the war. And the acting and the psychological part is just fine.

But in summer 1977, the steely, cunning former commander-in-chief agreed to sit for one all-inclusive interview to confront the questions of his time in office and the Watergate scandal that ended his presidency. Nixon surprised everyone in selecting Frost as his televised confessor, intending to easily outfox the breezy British showman and secure a place in the hearts and minds of Americans. Likewise, Frost's team harboured doubts about their boss's ability to hold his own. But as the cameras rolled, a charged battle of wits resulted. close
