The King's Speech tells the story of the man who became King George VI, the father of Queen Elizabeth II. After his brother abdicates, George ('Bertie') reluctantly assumes the throne. Plagued by a dreaded stutter and considered unfit to be king, Bertie engages the help of an unorthodox speech therapist named Lionel Logue. Through a set of unexpected techniques, and as a result of an unlikely friendship, Bertie is able to find his voice and boldly lead the country into war.

23 April 2024 9 I loved the movie The King's Speech, and Colin Firth and Jeffrey Rush deserved all the credit. This is a real English film, and the king is not shown as a monarch, but as a man with all his complexes and weaknesses. It was nice to recognize the places I saw (Buckingham Palace), and when I saw the toys of the princesses, I remembered more close I loved the movie The King's Speech, and Colin Firth and Jeffrey Rush deserved all the credit. 20 February 2020 9 Colin Firth as George VI is very convincing. The journey from a Zaik prince to a king who gives speeches supporting his subjects during World War II is a long and difficult one. The reasons why the future king began to stutter, in childhood, which was a lot of cruelty, injustice and violence towards a small child.
